I love the menu, and many Chipotle locations have benefited from my patronage. Sure, it's Mexi-Americana, but it's one of the best of the fast-foody type at a fair price. I either get a burrito (football-size) or a bowl (when I am being carb-conscious), and either way I go, I get half-barbacoa / half-carnitas. Both are very tender meat -- I like. Topped with shredded lettuce, grated cheese, chopped tomato, a little sour cream, and the corn-salsa, and I am a happy boy. Add quac, and I'm in heaven (it's extra $$$, but nearly an entire avocado worth). What makes this location unique? ========================== * Parking is a little odd if you can't park in one of the 2 aisles directly outside. * Conveniently located next to Panda Inn and a juice spot. * Smallish location: both in the line and the counter ordering. * Limited seating * It's 3.5 star location, but I found it not very clean. I hadn't visited this establishment in a very long time, but was shopping nearby so I thought why not! Oh my! I can not recommend this place. Have you seen a disorganized and messy kitchen? I know I have/ usually in my own house, but never when I'm in search of a place to eat. Honestly it looked like a few busy bees without their queen. Where are the managers or the adults, it was messy, unorganized, and just seemed out of norm from what I remember it. When you are looking to buy food you don't want to see a messy or disorganized kitchen. CLEAN should be a priority since they are serving food. Not sure who is to blame here, BUT this should be looked at by the supervisors. I came in at 8:00 on a Monday 2 hours before closing and there were several of the food sections that were just completely empty. They're not even bothering to try to keep anything filled up here. They're all out of pico salsa. Just a little bit of dried up queso cheese on the bottom. The girl making my burrito didn't even want to go to the back to get me another kind of salsa until I asked again. The way they treat you is just like they could care less if you were there or not. I would skip this place and opt for a actual restaurant where they have the food in stock. A place that's not just going to give you whatever they have left lying around. I was trying to get my free birthday dinner and the associate in the Paso store refused to help me get it. It was very rude.

Friend and I, just ordered 2 bowls and side of chips with queso and guacamole. It took a while to be helped and there were no customers inside, but we waited patiently until we were acknowledged. I don't if all chipotle's like to skip out on the portions(I know I could ask for more but when there wasn't enough, and he was scrapping the rice off the bottom so I left it at that). Felt like we were bothering the employees, the cashier was also a bit rude, I'm not sure if she was a lead or manager because she was "training" someone. Once we got to the car we tried the chips because they've been stale previous times I ordered some and of course they were stale. Honestly, by far one of the worst experiences from chipotle I've ever experienced. If that's how they're training their employees, then that's why it's empty with no customers. read more

The store was dead at 1730 when I brought my adult children and my teenager here for dinner, this should have been a red flag. The heavyset, short girl with dark hair who "helped" us seemed indifferent, if not downright annoyed we were there. She was extremely sloppy, dropping beef bits in the chicken, dripping sour cream and salsa all over the place. While watching her try to wrap my burrito, she didn't even attempt to close it up, just folded in the sides and then folded the whole thing in half. Then tried to hide the mess in the foil wrap. I mentioned my concern and she completely ignored me and tossed our orders in baskets and moved on. This should have been a red flag. When I opened my foil wrap, I was then faced with a sopping wet half folded "burrito". I should have cut my losses, but we had been out all day and I was very hungry. On top of being obscenely wet, it was also extremely bland. Despite my hunger I could only force myself to eat half of it. The final straw came today, when it was clear that all the red flags added up to a day in the bathroom... enough said. Do yourself a favor and go to the Atascadero location. They are insanely slow, but it's kept clean, the staff are nice, and the food is pretty much what you imagine you're going to get from a Chipotle. read more

The two ladies that work in this shop in the afternoon/ evening need to get fired ASAP, one is extremely overweight and short and the other is a very skinny girl middle sized. Atascadero is much better, sucks I have to go two towns over for a decent chipotle burrito! I asked for queso and I was given shredded cheese. The skinny girl knew what she was doing. After taking a few bites of my burrito last night, I found myself chewing on what seemed to once be a piece of cardboard like paper, or more like the paper that is used to make rice or flour bags, not entirely sure but disgusting either way. This place has gotten worse over the past year or so. Customer service is horrible, no one acknowledges, they laugh, Joke and have conversations while you wait. The food is always about to run out about 700, they intentionally run out of food to get off right at closing. The most recent; I ordered a burrito and the handler just threw my tortilla on the warmer, it was unprofessional. I paid 20$ on a13$ tab they had no one dollar bills. They wrapped my burrito and gave it to me with no bag and the burrito wasn't even all the way wrapped, it was sloppy. The management obviously has no concern or care of that store and neither does the owner for that matter. The store is always a mess and never stocked with utensils, napkins, hot sauce and the juice is usually running out. The worst Chipotle I've been to in the state of California hands down. read more

Worst customer service experience of my entire life! An employee was in such a rotten mood that she literally was giving us the dirtiest looks and slinging food in a bowl or on the tortilla while making our order. I tried to ask for the manager "Liz" but of course she wasn't found because so wanted to talk to her about this bad experience. An experience that made on of my daughters leave in tears because of the way we were being treated by an associate named Ronnie. First, I've been to many Chipotle restaurants. Take my advice, drive south 11 miles to the Chipotle in Atascadero. Chipotle Paso Robles gives much smaller servings. I stopped by the Chipotle in Paso for the first time this past week. The staff was very nice and welcoming. You can see how much enthusiasm they have and how they really care about what they do. It's a normal Chipotle and there's nothing bad or out of the ordinary to report. I'm glad they have chorizo now and I usually order that along with the steak. I usually get the salad, but more or less all the items are kind of the same it just depends on how it's presented in the end. So for you that haven't been to a Chipotle, you start off by telling them what kind of burrito, bowl, salad, tacos you want. You then go down the line and you have your choice of protein (or proteins for an extra charge), and then up next is your choice of white or brown rice, pinto or black beans. Next, you get your choice of sauces/salsas and toppings. I almost always get a side of guacamole and chips as well. I like how they salt the chips so it gives it that extra kick to it. There's a lot of parking in the lot it just depends on how far you'll have to walk. read more

We went in last night to grab a few bowls, I am not a big fan but my girls are so I decided to take one for the team. Standing in line we hear the guy tell the people ahead of us, "we are out of shredded cheese" so I was thinking "well they have Queso, it will be fine" come our turn my daughter goes first rice, beans, no protein, no cheese (they are out) no guacamole (they are out) runny sour cream and salsa.... Literally 1/4 filled bowl. $12 bucks! I look at the containers and wanted to puke, the other guy walks by with a hot plastic bag and adds to the queso that in old and solid brown cooked on the sides... all the containers looked very old and gross. My other daughter orders her bowl the same. I couldn't do it, I passed. The burrito bar was disgusting. Honestly they need to get it together. read more
