The queso was perfect, with small chunks of tomato, and the quesadillas were quite large - we probably should've gotten one to share. The Lone Star was the star of the show, for sure! The staff were very friendly, and service was top notch. Even with the dinner rush it only took a few minutes for them to prepare our order. They offer outdoor dining, and a big plus was the Sonic Ice in their soda fountain.

Poor service. Sub-par food in general. And it used to be affordable. Now, you'd better figure on upwards of $15 for a below average hamburger meal. It is easy to spend over $20 a person if you buy what you want. NacBurger is better. Chili's burgers are great. Even Kinfolks makes a better burger than Whataburger. Chicago-based firm, BDT Capital Partners, acquired a majority stake in 2019. And that is when it took a nasty turn. Not a single Hispanic or Caucasian employee. All black. Want a cup of water because you don't want to pay over $4.00 for a Coke or $7.00 for a Shake? Prepare to pay for water. It is the new Whataburger way. I miss the old TEXAS Whataburger. Chicago Bankers squeezed the Texas out of Whataburger.

I tried to make contact with the manager who did not care that I had a bad experience at all. He wouldn't refund or fix the order. He was actually very rude about the ordeal and was wildly unapologetic. I have worked in the food industry, I am not a stranger to how it works. This was a very bad experience and we used to love Freddy's. Even in this small town of no options, we will not be back after this experience. I would give negative stars if possible.

I ordered the chicken wrap, and it was pretty bland and not very flavorful. Several members of my family ordered the original chicken tenders, and they felt the same way, they just was not very tasty. The only positive food feedback came from those who ordered the spicy tenders, which they said were much better and had good flavor. I always try to give restaurants the benefit of the doubt because everyone can have an off day, but based on this experience, I don't see myself returning. The customer service and cleanliness were great, but unfortunately, the food matters a lot, and it just didn't deliver for us.

Wow, sure enough, there was a red pepper icon next to the listing, meaning it was "hot". Well, it's not hot, it's sweet. On TOP of that, the beef was stringy and dry. I guess it would have to be dry to be stringy, come to think of it. It's dredged and fried in FLOUR, and soaked in some sort of sweet sauce. I wouldn't feed this to a dog!
