This is on your way out of Nac, outside the loop, but it is worth the "drive" (if it is such considered in a small town). It is a small place, but the food is definitely worth it. You won't need refills here because they use MASSIVE glasses. Their horchata is the best. They have great barbacoa tacos, chilaquiles and arrachera. Closest thing you'll get to authentic restaurant food. Their shrimp cocktails are pretty legit as well and the best part is that it's super cheap. read more

Please do not let the 4 stars of this place fool you. It is hardly a "4 star" Mexican restaurant. We went for breakfast the Sunday before we were going to leave to drive back home. We ordered breakfast plates and breakfast tacos. The beef fajita breakfast taco was very skimpy on meat that I had to order a side of beans. The beans were bland. I was impressed they used real cheese and not American cheese that other restaurants do, and call it "authentic". The eggs were good. They were a little dry. They could have used a little milk to make them more "fluffy". I opted for corn and flour tortillas. Much to my disappointment, the tortillas were not even homemade. Price-wise the plates were reasonable and the salsa was very good. My mother-in-law who came with us commented that the Mexican food was "mediocre" at best. I had high hopes for this place, especially with the high rating it had. It goes to show that you can not always rely on Yelp reviews when picking a place. read more

I ordered the 5-mini tacos al pastor that come with nopales on the side. The food itself was excellent and reasonably priced. The bathrooms (on the gas station side) are among the worst I've ever been to in any country I've visited. This is a place where you want to lock your car at night, as this gas station seems to attract some real sketchy people. The food is excellent; I would stick with ordering traditional food that you would find in Mexico and you should be pleased. read more

Excellent Food! Cooked to order,real authentic Mexican Food. Carne Guisada is so tender. Portions are large the chicken tequitos were 3 times as big as other establishments. The chrizo and huevos for breakfast is also great along with the prices. Only negative is the atmosphere, more like a "whole in the wall" but the out weighs the decor. read more

I recently ate at Mexico Lindo in Nacogdoches, TX. I was having my car being serviced at the Chrysler Dealership next door. They recommended the restaurant so i went there for lunch. You know you are in an authentic Mexican restaurant when all the staff are Hispanic and all the customers are Hispanic except for me, the one Gringo in the place. The food was good. To start, they brought chips and a sauce carousel (like baked potato fixins in the old days) with salsa, a sour cream/white cheese sauce and marinated carrots. The hot sauce was very good and so was the sour cream/white cheese sauce. I ordered chicken fajitas that came with Mexican rice, a small bowl of charro beans and a bed of salad greens with guacamole. The guacamole was good and had a good hint of lime juice. The charro beans were good/flavorful but even better after I added some of the Mexican "Valentina" hot sauce that was on the table. The fajita's came out sizzling hot and were well presented. The chicken was plentiful, cut evenly and there was a large amount of grilled onions and bell peppers. The chicken was flavorful and was seasoned with black pepper. I spread some of the sour cream/white cheese sauce on the tortilla, added the fajita mixture and then drizzled some of their salsa on top. What I had was very good. Reasonably priced. Service was friendly. Cleanliness of the restaurant was average. I will go back for the fajita's. I will also get some of their salsa and sour cream/cheese sauce to go to take home. read more

I'm a truck driver and ate here last night. I sat at a table and a waitress came by and said "to go?". Wow, I feel welcome already. Two girls took care of me, and they were pretty nice. The food wasn't that great. I got the ground beef chimichanga, and it was okay, but the refried beans were very thin and didn't have very good flavor. I also got a small cheese quesadilla, which was not cooked long enough. It was warm, and the cheese was not even melted. Service for me sucked, but all the Mexicans were sure being taken care of in there. Oh yeah, I was the only white guy in there. When I was finished, I sat there patiently waiting on someone to bring my check. The girls would look at me and then just walk off. I finally had to ask someone if I could get my check, and she just giggled and muttered something in Spanish. Is this really what the world has come to? You can't discriminate against me cuz of my race, but it's ok for me to do it to you. What a shame. read more

This was the worst experience I believe I ever had while trying to eat a simple lunch. Three of us went through the drive through, we placed our orders separately at the window, face to face with the girl. We waited 35 min for our food so we had to take it back to work with us. We explained to charge us as we ordered, straight down the order pad, pretty simple... each one of us ended up paying for the others meal because she could not get this straight. We start to leave and the girl accuses us of stealing.... her pen. We even offered a pen we had in the vehicle with us so she would calm down. We get our dinners to work and we paid extra for beef fajita tacos in which we received the nastiest ground beef I have tasted!!!! So in short, she charged us incorrectly , gave us the incorrect food, and completely insulted us. Never ever ever again will I go to this unprofessional place!!! read more
