Speaks for itself...

Disgustingly dirty...Ithaca is a dump so it might be tough but I'd try and find something else to eat if you're considering this place. The garbage was overflowing, there was trash on the floor and they were completely out of chicken because no one bothered to cook any. I love Chipotle but this one should either be A- shut down or B- major employee overhaul. I'll include a photo of the trash.

Long ahh line. Only one person actually making burritos and bowls, typical Ithaca chipotle!

This is the dumbest chipotle in the entire United States. WHY is there ALWAYS only ONE person actually making burritos and bowls while every other employee stands around? Not even in the back prepping food, but seriously just standing around in sight of customers. This branch should be shut down immediately, and is the perfect representation of Ithaca as a whole: a lazy bum ahh town where no one gets anything done. If I had to chose between drinking a glass of Cayuga lake water and waiting in this line during a Tuesday lunch rush, I would chose lake water every time. Hire better employees who perchance, work. Edit: They had no ice. They had no tortillas.

I apologize to every Chipotle I have ever reviewed before and would go back and add a star after this experience. Always out of either rice or chicken. Just filthy no one ever stops to clean anything. Nobody at the counter for the last five minutes because they are waiting on rice this time.

I have suggested the owner of this franchise should have their franchise pulled. Now I hear (not sure if is true) that this location is actually not a franchise, but owned and run by corporate HQ. If this is true, this location is an utter embarrassment to the company. I feel sorry for anyone that works there. By comparison, I went into a different fast food chain (that specializes in chicken) the previous day in Rochester. There we found an alert and friendly staff (if diverse age and culture) that provided fast service with seemingly sincere smiles. I can only assume the chicken places pays their staff and managers well. Chipotle... I love the simple model of a simple, relatively healthy menu. You need to up your game on the people end of the business.

Went for dinner and they were already set up for Cinco de Mayo. I started with a sangria margarita,…read moredelicious and my husband got a Modelo. Chips and salsa are prompt to the table, but note that only the first round is free. There is a charge for subsequent rounds. The salsa is one step above ketchup. It's very mild with a hint of flavor. I was gonna say spice but that would require a lot more. We got the mini chimi appetizer, which are 3 beef and 3 chicken with a queso dipping sauce. They are very flavorful and not fried, which was surprising. Looks like they were baked. For dinner I got the 3 chicken enchiladas with green sauce. It comes with rice and beans. The enchiladas were good. The rice was mushy and the beans had an odd flavor I couldn't quite place. Both rice and beans were a little bland. My husband got the pozole, which was described as Mexican Pho, but just no, lol. It's a red chili based soup that was more like a sauce vs a traditional broth. There was a ton of pork but very little hominy. It came with lime, purple cabbage, radish and cilantro to mix in. Never had it with purple cabbage, usually do green. Overall, service was great and its easy parking. Food was decent, drinks were awesome. I would go back.

Decent, albeit Americanized Mexican restaurant. Prices are very fair, ranging from $14 (their…read morelunch/dinner combos) to $24 for their entrees. The decorations and ambiance were excellent and there's plenty of interior space and parking. Service was fine and attentive though they kept trying to take our plates despite us not being finished. Food was fine. We really enjoyed the quesabirrias the most. Each entree comes with a good deal of food, often with a side of carbs like rice or beans. They also provide chips and salsa free of charge. Overall, I would come back.

I joined Cornell CHAARG, an organization (rather scammy one but that's beyond the point) dedicated…read moreto showing college-aged women that fitness can be fun and fulfilling. Anyways... what did I get out of it? An awesome group of people and well... MIX. Updating my review because MIX deserves a proper shoutout and I haven't done it justice. This place is unequivocally my absolute FAVORITE brunch spot. The selection is vast, the portions are hearty, and the staff? They're the kindest, most accommodating folks you'll meet. It's like they've mastered the art of making you feel right at home. And the food? Oh, the food is ABSOLUTELY divine. Every bite is a delicious reminder of why I've converted to the church of brunch. Seriously, I went from a casual brunch-goer to a full-fledged brunch enthusiast, all thanks to CHAARG for leading me to this culinary gem. My brunch game has never been the same.

I've had brunch, lunch, and dinner at MIX, and all with varying levels of enjoyment. My recent…read morebrunch experience included ordering a Where the West Begins omelette, which includes "Braised short rib, butternut squash, red onion jam, spinach, smoked gouda". I wasn't sure how to feel about butternut squash with everything else (I'm not necessarily a huge squash fan - but I'm trying to learn to enjoy it), but the omelette was decent... it's the other side on my plate that looked less than appetizing. The biscuit was still covered in flour (and who wants to bite down on a clump of flour?), the cheddar hashbrown casserole lacked in flavor, and the brown sugar cinnamon oatmeal just... wasn't doin' it for me. Other recent experiences have been similar... there's usually one item on the plate that's flavorful or imventive (sometimes a main dish, sometimes a side), and the other parts of the plate are lacking. In reality, I think MIX is suffering a bit from rising food costs and inconsistency in their service and offerings. They've also changed the style of their menu from the original tapas-style to now being more typical entree options. Again... they've lost some of their innovative, experimental approach. In terms of ambiance, it really depends. I've been here for a work event and, because of the number of people, it was SO LOUD... they had also done a buffet offering for the event. As you can imagine, the food from the buffet was lacking, but that's often what happens when you're more mass producing your food (and it's left in a chafing dish, trying to be kept warm). On the other hand, I've been here for a dinner on a random night and was able to enjoy one of their Thai noodle bowls (and split some other apps with friends). The reality is that experiences at MIX are... well... a mix. Whether service, menu offerings, etc., I've found MIX's recent inconsistencies to be a disappointment. Will probably only visit in the future if it's suggested by others.
