Pudgees is a burger and Hot dog shop par excellence. What a wide assortment of options. From merely big food to titanic portions for the champion eaters out there. We both tried the half pound burger and wow.Tasty- and two hands full. Burgers of this size require grip strength and endurance to keep it from exploding like a deck of cards. My initial bite (a gator sized one) merely grazed the perimeter. I was sent scampering off like a chihuahua tail between my legs whimpering. I regained my pride in time and went back to combat with that beast, the details of which I will spare you. I emerged victorious but both my girlfriend and I agreed we could have shared one. I would like to go back again and again to try their various hot dogs and a pork cutlet sandwich which appears insane. I hope to see you there. Maybe you will be the champion taking on the cutlet sandwich. Oh lord.

We were greeted promptly through the intercom however we had to ask for some time to look over the menu since it's been years since we've been at a Checkers. We both ordered their Fry Seasoned Tenders and a large order of their Seasoned Fries. We were told that they needed to make the tenders and to go around the parking lot and pull into the left side of the dual drive through. We waited for approximately six minutes - not a bad wait time all at but at dinnertime I feel was kind of unnecessary. However, it did ensure our food was cooked fresh and not sitting under a heat lamp. The tenders came with a dipping sauce of our choice. My husband chose blue cheese and I opted for the buffalo sauce. Tenders were nice sized but I like their original breading better. They tasted better dipping in the sauce and of course their seasoned fries are the best. My husband didn't care for their blue cheese dressing but when mixed with my buffalo sauce it was good! Very good fast food experience, I would give them a 3.5 if I could. I would love to have a Checkers near where I live.

There were several cars in line for take out, the young woman at the window was very pleasant to us and we gave her our order and husband waited for it. I walked across the drive thru and picked out a table to sit and have our lunch. Took just a few minutes for him to come with our order. Our order was correct, including napkins and ketchup. We both got Big Buford combo with fries and a soda. Food was hot, fresh toppings and the fries were so darn good, soda good also. It was nice eating outside, enjoyed our lunch, prices were typical as other places. We must have lucked out and arrived at Checkers at just the perfect time. Glad we took a chance, our experience was a good one and the food very good. Will visit this location again, Debbie

Now, I don't know if this is where the problem began but the cashier originally put in for 2 smalls...it was corrected, see the receipt attached. When I received my order, the cup looked small...just yesterday at the Inverness, hwy 44 store I purchased the same and actually received large sizes. I asked the girl if this is a medium and she assured me yes, it was. I didn't have my reading glasses on but after I pulled away, I looked and the cup clearly says...small for iced coffee. So I went back into the line and the girl that took my order told me they "downsize" for the iced latte and even though it clearly says small, it was actually a medium. What kind of fraud is this? I am annoyed with this, it clearly says small and I clearly purchased a medium. So on my way home, I did a little test...a comparison...like they do on youtube and tick tock...so, I went to the Dunkin Donuts, not the McDonalds in Inverness...see the comparison for yourself. The prices are nearly the same but the size is actually a medium! This is such bad business...In today's economy with higher prices and shrinkflation...I don't think this is a very good practice for mcdonald's or anyone. So what happened here? Are you really selling small iced coffee for the price of a medium iced coffee? THE ABOVE IS AN EMAIL I SENT TO MCDONALDS LOCAL PERSON... HERE IS HOW SHE RESPONDED... Date of Visit: Aug. 29, 2026…read more Before I begin let me start with this. I don't use YELP to complain about a single visit. Before I start a review or even visit a new discovery I see what others say. I see reviews from people for (1) start just to rant about prices or portions and it's the reviewers only post. Some even write they been coming for years and it was great but that one bad visit justifies a (1) star? Sorry for my rant. I will begin. It was Saturday morning, the wife was out of town on a girls trip and it was me and Fritz (986) out for a drive. My lunch destination today is the Burger Station. From St. Pete I took US19 all the the way to Ingles to check out the Cross Florida Barge Canal. It is an interesting site. After that it on to the Burger Station. My first attempt was a while back and the lot was full and had to continue. This day there was room, it was 1:30. Not sure what to expect only what I have read from on-line articles which is why I am stopping today. As I walked inside I saw the counter where the orders are taken, great. Checking out the menu on the wall I decided on the Double Cheese with LTO and an order of fries. They have fountain drinks too. After ordering found a table/booth and took in the ambiance of a retro store. Decor was nicely done and clean. It didn't take long and my burger arrived. Yes, they bring it to your table. It looked great, well put together. However, I was a bit put back with fries. I prefer a regular straight cut with no coatings. Like Checker fries, but hay, people must like them. Most reviews they really liked the onion rings, next time. First bite and I could tell the LTO was fresh and Lettuce crispy. The burger was also done right too with the cheese nicely melted, should of tried the onion rings. Overall I will return, to try a shake and the rings. Service was great and clean place. If you find your self on US 41 and needing a bite to eat, I recommend. Peace.
