My review is for Checker's drive through service and food only. We stopped for something to eat around five in the afternoon after a long drive for an errand. We were greeted promptly through the intercom however we had to ask for some time to look over the menu since it's been years since we've been at a Checkers. We both ordered their Fry Seasoned Tenders and a large order of their Seasoned Fries. We were told that they needed to make the tenders and to go around the parking lot and pull into the left side of the dual drive through. We waited for approximately six minutes - not a bad wait time all at but at dinnertime I feel was kind of unnecessary. However, it did ensure our food was cooked fresh and not sitting under a heat lamp. The tenders came with a dipping sauce of our choice. My husband chose blue cheese and I opted for the buffalo sauce. Tenders were nice sized but I like their original breading better. They tasted better dipping in the sauce and of course their seasoned fries are the best. My husband didn't care for their blue cheese dressing but when mixed with my buffalo sauce it was good! Very good fast food experience, I would give them a 3.5 if I could. I would love to have a Checkers near where I live. read more

Husband and I love Checkers and I sure didn't like the reviews that I read about this business. It was a beautiful day and we just decided to heck with the poor reviews, let's take a chance and eat there. Parked our car and walked up to the window. There were several cars in line for take out, the young woman at the window was very pleasant to us and we gave her our order and husband waited for it. I walked across the drive thru and picked out a table to sit and have our lunch. Took just a few minutes for him to come with our order. Our order was correct, including napkins and ketchup. We both got Big Buford combo with fries and a soda. Food was hot, fresh toppings and the fries were so darn good, soda good also. It was nice eating outside, enjoyed our lunch, prices were typical as other places. We must have lucked out and arrived at Checkers at just the perfect time. Glad we took a chance, our experience was a good one and the food very good. Will visit this location again, Debbie read more

Can you believe the hype about the brisket on the burger that we see on tv? It's such a downplay when you actually see the actual burger. It's not worth 50 cent, but you be the judge! This is a picture of the actual burger I received from Checkers in Inverness, FL. I was so upset when I opened it up, I just tossed it in the trash! I couldn't even offer it to my grandson for his lunch they put 1 tsp of brisket on that tiny burger; really! It's bad enough that the burger was so thin & small, but then a drop of brisket this all together may weigh one half pound if that! read more

Ok went there to order 2 orders of cheese sticks and 2 orders of funnel cake fries well we added a fry before leaving speaker. But when we got to window we added a sandwich and a cheese stick. Well we got attitude for adding but they only put one funnel cake fry and everyone in my car hear me say 2 . I understand I ordered a no season burger but when they gave me my order the girl nearly threw it st me and gave me attitude. Checkers need to step up there game!! read more

It's checkers what did u truly expect? I was deprived of better options that night so I was stuck here in the boonies. Checkers is like a slightly better Burger King, and upgrade from Mc Donalds. The burger was ok, the cheese sticks and fries is really why I came here. My expectations are very low here for this type of fast food so I was happy when I left cause I was prepared. However, the poor rating is because of what Checkers brings to the table quality wise, and I have never seen a quality service, food, or even drinks. I was content with what I got, and my expectations were met exactly as expected. It was typical and nothing special. The drive thru speaker is impossible to hear out of. Bums hang around asking you for money if you're stuck in line. Food is decent sometimes so there's that at least. read more

This location tries every way possible NOT to accept coupons or a survey reward. They will not take a survey rewards from the back of the printed receipt unless it's a barcode. They use the fact about not being a barcode to get away with not taking any coupons or anything. They will not even take the reward "number" on my survey app on my phone, which is a pretty popular app. I think they just don't want to take coupons and they give you dirty looks when you use one. I travel a lot and I see a lot of different checkers locations. This is the only one that does it. I was surprise when I was in Wintergarden, Florida, I was telling one of the managers at that location about the Inverness location. He actually knew about the Inverness location and knew how bad they were when it comes to coupons. That was pretty bad. read more

I was pleased with the customer service but not the food. I got a fish sandwich that was so dried out the edges were hard as a rock! It was horrible. The fries were not good at all either! I ordered 1 sandwich 1 sm fry; I asked for a dbl cheesburger with mayo & tomato only on it with a small fry. What I got was a sandwich that WASN'T what I ordered or even close to it and NO fries. I stopped before leaving the drive-through to get the fries they forgot to put in the bag and then proceeded on my way. When I got ready to eat the sandwich (which was only about 3 minutes after leaving the drive-through) it had EVERYTHING ON IT and it was COLD. Way to go Checkers! When I called the manager about it, I got an attitude from her! AND while I was waiting to get the fries, assuming it was the mgr, said "ok guys you need to start looking at the receipt this is the 3rd time tonight" right in front of me. Should have been a clue then that the sandwich wasn't going to be good either. NO WAY would I recommend this store to anyone!
