This Chipotle location has the slowest service that I've ever experienced from a Chipotle. The customers in line are subject to wait while the workers handle mobile orders. It appears that they were under staffed during my visit and the rice and black beans were undercooked. It's nothing worse than crunchy rice and beans. Perhaps someone needs to be reinstructed on how to cook rice and beans. Surprisingly the portions were adequate, normally they are not. read more

Its a clean outlet with fast moving service which is quite impressive compared to typical long lines at other outlets. I always order Chicken Burrito bowl which is my favorite. I love it! My wait time for a meal.. Upwards of 25 minutes! The food is good and fresh (hit or miss with the chips) but the service is terrible. Staff always seems overwhelmed and completely unprepared to perform their jobs. Too much kidding around among themselves. This location would not survive anywhere else but in this mall. I don't know why the negative reviews. I've been to this location a few times and yes it can be busy at times but the lines move quickly and the staff isn't as rude as most make them out to be. I always see them wearing gloves and hair nets. I've been served with a smile and no one drags anything on any "dirty counter". Food's always fresh and place is clean. Just wish they'd stay open later. Other than that, I'll continue coming here whenever I'm in the area. read more

So I went back after my great experience with Mateo (the clout god) and this time was even better than the last, and I didn't even think that was possible. Well today, Mateo seemed to have a partner in delicious crime- Jonathan. He must have been individually trained by Mateo, he greeted me with a smile and remembered to remind me that que so was extra- thank the Chipotle gods! He put the right amount of rice and beans and scooped with such unparalleled excellence. Mateo wasn't handling the food but he still found a way to shine. While he rolled the garbage can and collected garbage he smiled and interacted with the customers despite it being late into the night and close to closing time. This dynamic duo will definitely take Chipotle to the top- mark my words! Someone give them a raise already! read more

I am a big fan of chipotle but was disappointed by my last night visit to this particular store in menlo park mall. the one in the south plainfield is much better. went there at around 8 40 pm and line was not too long. the lady in beginning of the line did not bother to ask if i need veggies( i.e. capsicum onion mix) and added very large quantities of it by herself. she added very little of rice, while i usually prefer more rice and no veggies. The lady who added cheese just spilled a fist full of it , too much quantity i should say. seeing my tacos already overloaded, i asked for corn, gaucamole and lettuce to be given on side, and my request was fulfilled after asking repeatedly thrice. the lady with gaucamole, lettuce was busy chitchatting. there was no sour cream at all the whole of people in assembly line are not bothering for the customer to come near them and tell what they need, they are just asking loudly wat they need when they are at a distance and filling it, there by rushing the customers and finishing their job asap. i also found black beans were not properly cooked and lettuce was also not properly cut may be i would go to chipotle, but definitely not in near future and certainly never to this store again. read more

I will never eat at this location again. Ordered two burrito bowls online. One was supposed to be chicken & steak, brown rice, no beans, the chili corn, pico, sour cream and cheese. The other one was chicken, brown rice, black beans, chili corn, pico, cheese and guacamole. Picked them up, the first one was all chicken, black beans, and no cheese. And the chicken was rubber. The second one had no beans, and burnt chicken. Called the restaurant told them the order was wrong and they asked me if I wanted my next meal free or to make a new one. I chose the second option, I was not going to eat the one with beans (HATE beans). Went back there, they didn't even apologize to me that the order was wrong, and was nice enough to make both bowls again. Brought it home, the first one had chicken & steak, brown rice, chili corn, pico, cheese, and guacamole. Have pet birds at home, guacamole on me is poisonous to them. Second one had burnt chicken again and sour cream. I took the guacamole off, and really scrubbed my hands before I could take my birds back out of the cage. The other bowl was thrown out, it was that bad. Both bowls were just gross. Will never eat at this location again, and I can walk there., and yes I joined Yelp just so I can write this review. The first few times I came to this chipotle it was great . however last month I came with my boyfriend to get a bowl and he got a burrito and we also got chips and guac . everything about this meal was horrible and to top it off the people that worked had no smile didn't say hi, finally when we went to pay the girl was crying and tears were literally falling into the bag of food . The chips were so stale, my boyfriend's tortia was cold . my rice felt like it was 2 days old . so yesterday I went back to give it a second chance after all we all make mistakes . WRONG. rude workers and the rice was still stale and they gave me one scoop of rice . one scoop doesn't cover the bowl. that's not even the worst part, there was a hair in my food . I was sick I couldn't even eat it . I will no longer be eating at this chipotle . they need new staff members bc that was horrible . read more

First of all - I'm a HUGE chipotle fan, I like their food a lot, but this location is just not that good. The line is always long, but that I can deal with- for good food I'm willing to wait. My main problem is with the amount of food that they give you- it seems that every time I go there they give you less and less- less chicken, less rice, less beans.... Compared to other locations (Freehold, Westfield) they just are not as good, I simply don't understand why they continue to short change us like that. Don't be fooled by the 2 star rating, I love Chipotle, heck, I can probably say 9 times out of 10 I will pick Chipotle over any other kind of fast food, but this Menlo Park location is just terrible. It seems like every time I go here they have newbies working the stations which makes the ordering process just grueling; they can barely keep up with the number of people coming in and out of this location during lunch hour. Also, it doesn't help that they are really skimpy with the ingredients; as a vegetarian, I feel like I constantly have to tell the guy at the rice and beans station to add another scoop of rice and beans otherwise I feel like I'm getting a bowl of sauce, guac and lettuce. I've really been trying to avoid this location, the panera bread down the street is much quicker and actually has a great atmosphere to enjoy lunch. read more

I am utterly upset with this location and the management. This is the second time that they have not made my order on time or at all. I ALWAYS order online on the app and this time THEY DID NOT EVEN MAKE IT. I placed my order at 12:00PM to pick it up at 12:30. I was nice enough to come at 12:50 because I knew they were busy. I came to pick it up and they were looking for it for 5 minutes and they did not even make it. I was outraged by the management because they CANNOT work properly at all. The manager over there knew I was upset and they did not do anything. The first time I've waited 30 minutes because they were backed up, which I have forgiven. This time they did not even make my order to begin with and the pick up section was not busy at all. I have left Google Reviews as well upon this Chipotle in Menlo Mall because it has been the worst experience I have ever had for service. ABYSMAL. This was only my second Chipotle experience, and I think I've had enough at this point. I would have demanded a refund if I hadn't used a "buy 1 get 1 free" coupon. I placed my order online to be picked up at 7:45. I got there 5 minutes late, so I expected that it might have cooled a bit, but not that it would be completely cold. My burrito had white rice instead of the brown rice that I asked for and it had a very hot salsa that I also did not ask for. It almost made it inedible. My fiancé's burrito didn't even have meat! The meat is the first thing that you choose before you can move on to building the burrito, so I can't even fathom what kind of incompentance it took to make this happen. Both burritos were soggy and cold. Chipotle's website doesn't even have a place to make a complaint. This company seriously needs an overhaul, because I haven't had such a terrible food experience in years and I will not be going back. I will also be warning my local friends not to waste their money. I would have had to pay $20 for that garbage if it weren't for that coupon. read more

I have been going to this location since it opened and i can tell you I am done with this supposed customer friendly company. The employees are rude and the food is dry and small protioned. I love Chipotle, but this place is horrible! The wait is always ridiculously long no matter what time of day and it's completely their fault. I feel like every time I come all the employees are new and in training, moving slowly, and generally just confused. My burrito always falls apart and one time my burrito was made fell apart in the rollers hands and she had to dump in sloppily it some other tortilla only to half roll it. I typically do not get sick at any other Chipotle and every time I eat here without fail I get so sick for days. Also I'm not sure why, but the veggies in particular do not taste like typical Chipotle veggies, I'm not sure why the food tastes odd here. Also several times I have been labeled with chicken or even charged later without realizing for chicken or meat when I always order veggies, seems like a scam if you ask me. read more
