I've been on the road for the last week, and I have discovered Wawa in both Pennsylvania, and New Jersey. They are in other eastern states as well They do the roadside travel stops right. Every Wawa, I've been, including this one, have been bright, and clean, your typical selection of food, snacks,, sundries, beer/soda etc..... and they also have a fantastic hot food counter, where you can get items for breakfast/lunch/dinner. I heard the tacos are fantastic. They even have ATMs that do not charge a surcharge. (there may be a surcharge from your own bank, but not to use the ATM.) The gas prices are very reasonable, and hey, it's New Jersey. You don't pump your own gas. Just like the old days, you just pull up and say "fill 'er up!! ". I'm a fan. Every Wawa feels and looks mostly the same. This location is no exception, but it is exceptional in its own way. Every time I order a sandwich I'm pleased with the outcome. The preparation is always neat, never messy. And in my experience, even when there's a long line they pump out the orders swiftly. read more

This wawa is actually so bad. I've gotten creeped out multiple times there by the employees making very rude and nasty comments towards me and all i'm doing is going in there and getting what i need. My family and i order doordash a lot of that place and not ONCE did they ever bring the right order. they don't even tell the doordasher to call us if they don't have something so they just give it to us thinking we eat or drink it when we don't!!! PLEASE DONT GO HERE!!! you will get ripped off and have to spend your money double the times that you want too! i will never order DoorDash from there again read more

Love wawas coffee and sandwiches. They have multiple brands of fresh coffee and it isn't expensive as Starbucks or Dunkin. They also have all other hot/cold stuff and breakfast etc . Now you order on kiosk instead of in person. Question is why not give them 5 stars? Pricing is high for the price of convenience. Paid $2.80 for 8 ounce coffee. Huzzah! No longer will MCC students have to suffer through second-rate Subway subs or the crummy campus cafeteria chow. Edison's new and much-needed Wawa is a welcome boon in this stretch of Woodbridge Ave, where reliable fast casual food options, convenience stores, and gas stations are severely lacking. The Edison area hasn't seen a Wawa since two decades ago, when the last Wawa on Oak Tree Road was suddenly replaced by an Indian cash & carry. In the years that followed, convenience store chains in Edison all but became extinct, made redundant by supermarkets and replaced only by smaller and more local mom-and-pop-type operations, until Quick Chek burst on the scene with its 24-hour sandwich and fuel stations. Though previously concentrated in south Jersey, Wawa's presence has been gradually expanding north--and fortunately, it's expanded all the way to Edison. The layout of this standalone Wawa is slightly different from other locations I have visited: the made-to-order station is a semi-circle and centered along the back wall of the store rather than off to the side. The ordering interfaces are actual LCD touch-screen tablets instead of the older, clunky touch screens covered in plastic and oily fingerprints. The ordering process and food options are similar to those at other Wawa locations. To the right of the food station are a Freestyle machine, a smoothie machine, and shelves for refrigerated and dried foods. To the left of the food station are coffee carafes, a cappuccino machine, a pastry case, and an island for cups, napkins, insulating sleeves, etc. The two checkout lanes are form two actual aisles, so customers know how and where to queue up. The familiar selections of Sizzlis and cigarettes can also be found at the counter. Like at other convenience stores and gas stations throughout the state, this one does not sell beer or wine due to state regulations about alcohol distribution. Restrooms are in a corner to the right of the entrance, past the PNC ATMs. So far, fuel prices here for Regular have been consistently among the lowest in the area, sometimes as low as or lower than the prices at Costco. The fuel station has three rows of pumps for regular fuel and another for diesel. The air machine in the corner is easy to use when it isn't obstructed by piles of snow. Employees are on the younger side, possibly students, and so far have been enthusiastic and friendly (probably in no small part due to ongoing customer survey campaigns). read more

This Wawa is located about a block away from Middlesex County College and about 10 minutes away from the heart of Raritan Center Business Park. To say it gets busy here during peak times (especially lunch hour, 12:30-1:30) is an understatement, but I feel the staff especially behind the prepared foods counter handle the crowds very well. I really don't understand the argument that Wawa is so much better than Quick Check. To me they are exactly the same quality, wIth Wawa having a better and more vast selection. Other than more choices, they are the same, sorry, South Jersey! Subs- hoagie fest is an incredible deal. As far as quality, I am a sub snob and much prefer a good authentic deli sub. In the area you're much better off going to Roosevelt's Deli, Edison Pizza, or for a bit of a drive the best- Tastee's Subs. Quesadillas- this is usually my food of choice at wawa. For the most part they are enjoyable but again, not even close to the best quesadilla I've ever had. They are sometimes soggy if you add a lot of vegetables to them. I also find that certain ingredients will be non existent in one part of your quesadilla and then all of a sudden, whoops, yup, it's all right in this one area, so they can be hard to share. That being said, they have a lot of options of fillings, they even do a perogi quesadilla which I liked for the most part, despite it being a very strange hybrid. Mac and cheese- again, not the best Mac and cheese by ANY means. It helps a craving, but with Panera just a few steps away, not really worth it unless you're getting other things at wawa. The chip selection is great, and there is always a deal on Herr's. I've grown to like the beverage selection too, although I wish they had the huge bottles in diet Snapple, not just regular. The cashiers leave something to be desired usually, but they are fine, I don't expect superior customer service in a wawa check out line anyway, and they are speedy which is definitely a plus! 3.5/5 read more

I was in there this afternoon and I ordered 2 sandwiches, a chicken sandwich and a ham and cheese sub. All the details are right on the receipt so it's baffling that they got my order wrong again. My ham and cheese sub with added pepperoni was just a pepperoni and cheese sub, no ham!!! I get it that people make mistakes but this is the 4th time I have had an issue with this particular Wawa. I think the manager needs to do something about this because they just lost me as a customer. read more

I've been here a couple times while I was a student at Middlesex County College, which is nearby. I sometimes stop by to get their $2 hot dogs. I save more money than getting those snacks at the vending machines in the campus and the lunch too. There's a lot of Wawa places nearby and they're pretty much as good as this one. I go for the Coke machine that allows you to mix drinks and has incredible number of choices. Started getting food here (breakfasts and sandwiches) and I was shocked how good it is. I'm a Verizon engineer and I worked on Wawa's network update and I had lunch at all the stores I was at, and still go for lunch and dinner if I'm on the road. I've got to say the people who make the drinks at this Wawa do a great job. Maybe because it's new? I hope they continue to be good. I definitely do keep going back to the places that make drinks well. My local Dunkin Donuts is just awful, so I'm in the market for a replacement. Of course the problem with this Wawa is that it's located across a busy street from me. So I can't really bike there. I think it's very convenient to Middlesex County College, though. I love coming to Wawa because they are a great place to get pretty much anything. They have coffee, food, soft drinks, and they even sell gas. This location has a lot of parking around the main building and they have plenty of gas pumps so the wait is never that long. Inside there are four terminals that you can order hot subs, soup and cold sandwiches at. In addition you can have one of the handcrafted drinks, a soft drink from the fountain or a bottled drink from the fridge. If none of those things are your fancy then you can certainly get a cup of hot coffee. There are so many options that it is hard to go wrong with anything they have. I always get something from the sandwich station. I've personally had many of the hot subs and the roast beef cold sub as well as the cheese panini. I can say that I have never been disappointed with the sandwiches because they are made with care and the food is seasoned very well. The drinks are just as good as the food. I've had many of the smoothies and I've had a few of the cold latte style drinks. They are also pretty customizable so you can always have what you want and don't have to stick to their way of making the drinks. Of course they tell you what they recommend, so if you want the default you are more than welcome to do that as well. In all, Wawa is one of the best places around here to stop at for some gas and some food regardless of whether you're on the road or just driving home from work. They have great food and drinks and they are pretty quick so the wait isn't too long. I highly recommend Wawa to anyone in the area. read more

Honestly in the past few months the quality of the sandwiches being made drastically declined. I'll order/pay extra for bacon and avocado and not get it. Since wawa opened my family goes there two times a day. We get our typical coffee each day. The best part are the people that work there. They are so friendly. Over the months we have become so close to the workers. The best people that stand out are Brian, Anthony, Freddie, Brenda, Kevin, Mike, and Steve. These people are so nice and are really great. They treat us like family. The sandwiches are amazing and so are the milkshakes. This is a big upgrade from 7-Eleven. I can't say anything bad because I have not experienced anything bad since going there. read more

Before you order anything take a look at the area where they prepare the food. Garbage bins are usually overflowing, steam table is covered in food spills they don't bother to wipe off, and watch the employees, many of them couldn't be bothered to change their gloves. I have even seen one take the garbage out, then proceed to make sandwiches while wearing the same gloves. And the afternoon workers kick stuff under the counters that fall on the floor. I would hate to see what is under there. I live behind the store and used to go there often in afternoons/early evenings. The employees were all student aged. They ignore you, make your sandwich, slap it on the counter and go back to their own conversations. Started going later at night. There was an older guy that always had shiny pins on his hat. He was constantly cleaning something, AND changing his gloves. He joked with everyone. I even heard him ask customers about family members. If you needed help, he didn't hesitate to come around the counter to help you. I did notice the minute he walked out from the work area, his gloves came off. He washed his hands and re-gloved when he went back. Only person I saw to ever do that. Haven't seen him in a while. Haven't ordered any food in a while. Stick to prepackaged stuff, after searching for the latest sell by date. read more

This has to be the Wawa with the quickest service I have ever seen. It's right near MCC so there are often students lined up before or after their classes. However there is one guy who works there he is an older gentleman who works at the cashier by the cigarettes he is extremely rude and always has a smartass comment. And the best part is he says it under his breath as if a customer won't be able to hear it. But trust me I can hear it. I am not going to write not about the gas station(5 stars) because I love to go there because the guys are nice and gas is cheaper than others gas stations. I am writing about some guys preparing food inside(white guy, tall and with a long beard, bad attitude), he was very rude and almost acting like typical racist person. I am a Latin woman, my English is not perfect but I know my way. Today I ordered waffles with bacon, when he gave my order there was no bacon, I asked him he said that he couldn't hear me so I got more closer and said my order do not have bacon, he said give me a second so I waited a few minutes and then later he said what is wrong? with attitude so I put the receipt on the counter and said there is no bacon on my order and he said do not put the receipt on my face, thing that i did not do, so I said nothing and then he threw me the food and gave me the look, that make me feel scared and discriminated. I guess he was having a bad day but that does not give him the right to treat customers like that. I spoke with the Manager I hope he do something, anyway I will not buy food there anymore. I went there to get gas, so i told him to fill it up with regular. I ran inside to get a drink , when i came out pump was still going . I told him to stop the pump 2 times, he did not . Its a 4cyl honda and the pump read 40 dollars. So i got out of the car and the pump never stopped and gas was pouring out and all over my car . I called the guy and with no urgency he came over, and stopped the pump. I said im not paying for this , the manager came out after 15 minutes and gave me 10 dollar refund . I live right down the road and was so happy to see this wawa open this past winter. JIMBO, one of the PM gas attendants is just amazing! Very kind, welcoming and always has a smile on his face. I couldn't give 5 stars because I do believe the sandwich making could use improvements. I've come in for parm sandwiches and they've run out of marinara multiple times.
