We asked for anything with fish be served on a separate plate. The waiter agreed to do so. We got the teas first. We waited over an hour for the food, with mostly undrinkable tea (though the waiter did bring a few paper cups of water), and we actually had to flag down the waiter to ask when we were going to get our food. When it came, all the salmon was intermingled with the rest of the food on the same plate. There were some cucumber sandwiches and some sliced cucumbers just sitting on the plate on no bread because it was multi-grain and had seeds, NOT NUTS! The cucumber slices were next to salmon slices, also on no bread. Unfortunately, the salmon was touching just about everything on the plate, so those of us with restrictions couldn't eat most of the meal. Not only was this disappointing, it was also dangerous for people with life threatening food allergies. All in all, it was almost 2 hours for a simple afternoon tea. The lack of regard and respect for people with life threatening allergies is a disgrace. The atmosphere is nice but the service and food were terrible. Such a disappointing experience for a couple of our group who had never experienced a formal afternoon tea, and for those of us who regularly do afternoon tea.....we're just disgusted.
