Ok. I shop here because there are several things that are a good saving. However the store is so dirty! Outside is gross with garbage all over, produce section the floors are discusting. The check out scanners are pure filthy!. No excuse for this. I have been to other Aldi's and they aren't as bad as Woodbridge. Unfortunately this is the one closest to me. I was shopping on Oct. 16. I'm usually there once or twice a month. While there were plenty of staff around, it was that odd hour where employees are leaving (shift change). I was at self check out and the young man next to me seemed to be confused. He finished and began to leave. The young woman who had a line at the regular check out isle, called out to him that he didn't pay. She was nice, very busy and it turned out he was I think deaf and needed help. I wish I got her name, all employees should be so calm and helpful. If it helps it was about 2pm. read more

Bought a package of LV skinnys while I was in Woodbridge. My husband loves those skinnys. The expiration date was still aways away. Brought it home, opened it and they were all moldy. Ugh! Upon relating this story to Aldi's, they replied that I can bring them back with receipt and product and they would refund me. Really? They are aware I am in Staten Island, NEW YORK! So I should pay a $15 toll to return this to their NEW JERSEY store? Please do yourself a favor and check that LF brand before you buy their breads. read more

I never shopped at Aldi before but have heard good things about it. My running an errand and needed to pick up some groceries and an Aldi appeared on the road so I decided to stop by and check it out. This place is located next to a Wawa and has station. The parking lot is quite small but if you can't find a spot, then park over at Wawa and walk over. Make sure you bring a quarter for the shopping cart and upon returning the cart, you'll get your quarter back. There's no free bags so either you purchase a reusable bag here or you can bring your own to bag. The produce items are reasonably priced and their pastries are pretty tasty. They don't sell name brand items but more like generics, which I don't mind as long as the quality and taste is good and in most case, it is to me. The cashiers are limited and they only open up about two or three cashiers on a Sunday when most people grocery shopped. I made another stop here on a weekday and cashier lines were much better because of less customers. read more

I usually shop at Shoprite or Wegmans, but I do enjoy shopping here as well. Prices are low, especially for produce. They are missing some name brands people might want. My main issue is the line. Often the lines are long and they do not have enough cash registers open. Also, you have to pay for bags. read more

I've been shopping Aldi Woodbridge, NJ since it opened. Customer service was NOT all that great but yesterday i had a Positive experience due to help from one of the Ladies who was Restocking the veggie shelf. She was so helpful gave me Detailed direction of a product i was trying to find. I happen to pass by her again & she asked me if i found it. That was great Customer Service. Her name was Q. Lines are ridiculously long. Today was the 2nd time I walked out. I left my place in line because the number sign was lit on another line, only to be told she was closed. The bitch I was in front of would not let me back and I had to go to the back of the line, literally 8 people long. This Aldi is really good! Maybe one of my favorites next to my local Aldi in East Brunswick. The store is very clean, and has a very great variety. It's not too big, and it's not too small either, making it the perfect size for me, since I'm not the biggest fan of large supermarkets. I was able to find almost everything on my shopping list, which a lot of times, is quite rare for an Aldi, usually I can find mostly everything at ShopRite. This store is a little though, too crowded for me. That may be good for the store, but not really that great for me, especially during these tough times. Every aisle was mostly very crowded, and no one was really social distancing, which was not good. The staff is not the friendliest either, as our cashier (despite that she worked fast) seemed slightly annoyed, as when I took my cart to her for the next customer, she kind of yanked it out of my hands! Love this place for the quality of food and the prices. They have gone up a little, but with inflation everything does. It reminds me a little bit of trader Joe's, but less trendy if u know what I mean. The good taste great and its fresh. If you want decent fresh food but u r on a budget and you live in Jersey this is the place for u. Check it out. read more

This Aldi is surprisingly larger and brighter than the ones I am used to. When I think Aldi, I think a smaller grocery store packed floor to ceiling with bargain foods and narrow aisles that are hard to navigate. Thankfully, this store is bright and the aisles are wide and it has a pretty great selection, too. Just remember - this is a bargain grocery store, so you're not going to see a lot of name brands and you can't use your credit card and you should bring your own grocery bags. Plus a quarter if you want to use a cart. They cut costs all over to offer low prices, so be prepared. read more

Small grocery store with many knock off brands that clone the majors, think GM cereal 'icons' and Aldi has their own mirrors, not as bad as dollar store knock offs it seems but I have only purchased bread, meat, produce at this location. When it initially opened a few years ago I could easily slip in midday and snag a few items with little to no wait. For the past couple of years there has only been one cashier working where there used to be 2 and they have 7-10 registers. Since then I haven't been able to swing in and grab a few items and get out. There are simple too many people making their full shopping trips here and only one working register, no self scan, no one comes out to open another register when they see a line. If you are okay spending 20+ minutes there and filling a shopping cart, ie your primary grocery trip then it probably is fine. I USED to swing in to grab some deals on good products like low cost cold cuts/meat but that simple isn't possible unless I'm willing to stand in line behind 2-3 people with full shopping carts or hope they let me pass them, something I've never tried. When they opened 2 cashiers were standard, for a coupe years now they only have one cashier working at a time during the early day. MAYBE later they add a 2nd/3rd but I doubt it. It is a small 'grocery' store that probably only sees the people who have more time than money and will willingly wait to save a few dollars. I can't recommend it unless you want to make this place and their off brands your primary grocery goto location. Not worth it to grab a handful of items anymore, especially when there is limited parking and the willing to wait patrons have 'discovered' it and frequent it so often the monetary saving are not worth it for the time you have to waste there. Walmart is right around the corner with the same or better prices, wawa in the same complex, better off grabbing your groceries at a real grocery store and getting the 'deals' at walmart than this place. read more
