I was in the gas station line this morning because it is the cheapest gas around and money is tight. The attendant I dealt with was very abrasive and very off putting. Aggressively telling me to pull up my car a little more and then when I did immediately going "turn your engine off." He wasn't giving me time to breathe to follow his instructions. I felt like I was being berated by a teacher. He was really rude and I didn't appreciate it at all. It made me question if saving a few cents on gas was even worth it. I don't know if he's overworked or just a rude employee. It was uncalled for. About 90% of the time I get my gas at Costco but I'm going to reconsider if it happens again. read more

The hoses are extremely long, so you can pull into the right or left lanes, regardless of if your gas tank is on the right or left side of your car. The attendants are polite and friendly. No cash is accepted, so pay with debit or credit card only. That gas station is to the side of the Costco store, so it is very convenient to gas up and then pull into the Costco parking lot and do your shopping. read more

I assumed the lines wouldn't be that long but I was wrong! It took about 15 minutes from waiting in line until I finished getting gas. They do not take cash and only accept Visa. A magnificent sunny afternoon, $1.53 a gallon and no customers at a warehouse club gas portal that is usually ten vehicles deep in all ten bays. Apparently, we may not all be in this together as suddenly I feel very much alone and wistful for the oppressive retail scrum that used to make me clench my jaw and grind my teeth. A ten minute conversation with the attendant provokes no honking or frustration from the impatient hordes cooling their heels behind me since there simply aren't any. Has this surreal carnival really brought me to the realization that getting gas is the highlight of my day. What I do know is that the pathetically clichéd "new normal" hasn't broken me as I still hate sitting down to a leisurely breakfast and I really can't stand working from home. I find comfort in the consistently low prices at Costco Gas in Edison! No need to have a Costco membership to buy their gas. There are many lanes. Waiting is very organized. They have long hoses that can extend to reach the other side of your car. There is usually 1 attendant for 4 cars. I feel the lines moves at reasonable speed. I've been here many times and most of the gas attendants work quickly and attentively. The prices are usually low. Last night, it was $2.16/gallon whereas surrounding gas stations were as high as $3.09. That's a $0.93 spread! But with that being said, expect to wait and be patient. Overview: The fuel prices at this location are consistently among the lowest in Central Jersey, which make it a popular destination for Costco members, Costco shoppers, and everyone else who has no affiliation with Costco whatsoever--since NJ gas stations cannot refuse service based on club membership. The icing on the cake is that the bargain-priced Kirkland Signature™ Gasoline is also branded TOP TIER™--having five times the EPA detergent requirement in both regular unleaded and premium grades. Location: The area around the gas station can be accessed via either of the two entrances on Vineyard Road or the entrance by the Walmart on Rt. 27, whereas the dedicated gas station itself has only one entrance and one exit. Always a line but still worth coming. The line moves pretty consistently. Hose is long enough for you to use either side. Service is good enough; I have not met someone that makes my day worse (yes, that may become my new standard for modern service quality); at worst, a neutral personality. I always like to get my gas here cause you don't need to use your Costco card for dirt cheap but good gas. I always fill it up And the tank lasts a week. From other reviewers, they say the gas has a 5 epa rating. From my experience the gas always lasts longer. But beware, go early in the day like 7 or 8 am so you don't Wait in long lines. Not a bad place to get cheap gas for membership discounts, however beware the lines can be long.

I am fond of filling my car's gas tank up at Costco. The price of the gas is always lower than any surrounding gas stations (I check the Gas Buddy all often and can confirm that this is true!). I also find that the staff is incredibly efficient and friendly. I am always greeted with a smile and "how's your day?"-type hello. They pump gas two cars at a time and while lines can be long, they move quickly due to this method. This particular location can get incredibly busy so I would recommend going earlier in the day if possible! Avoid weekends if you can , as they are the days I typically go and can tell you that EVERYONE is out on Saturdays and Sundays lol. read more
