Extremely disappointed with this experience. I ordered a chicken bowl for takeout, and the initial scoop of chicken I was given was noticeably tiny. I simply asked if I could have a little bit more. The employee added a very small amount -- nowhere near what anyone would reasonably consider a double portion. When I checked my receipt, I realized I had been charged for DOUBLE chicken. I did not ask for double chicken, I was never told I was being given a double portion, and I certainly did not receive one. If asking for a small amount more because the original portion is inadequate is automatically going to result in an additional charge, that needs to be communicated BEFORE adding it -- not quietly added to the bill afterward. Customers should be given the opportunity to say no before being charged for something they did not order. Charging me for double chicken when I neither requested nor received a double portion is absolutely preposterous. This felt misleading and left an incredibly bad impression. I expect much better transparency and customer service from Chipotle. read more

Burrito was tiny and I ate the entire thing with one hand while scrolling on my phone in the other. That's not cool when the topic comes to burritos, I want one like Adobo's does where it's three times the size of Chipotle's and it's sloppy and messy and you can't eat it with one hand but you don't care because it's actually a good burrito. Go to Adobo's, not Chipotle or Pancheros or those chains. read more

Unfortunately, my experience was significantly below the standards I typically associate with your brand, and I felt it was important to bring these issues to your attention. Upon entering, I was immediately struck by the discernible lack of cleanliness throughout the dining area. The tables appeared unsanitized, garbage receptacles were overflowing, and there was a noticeable absence of essential amenities such as napkins. This overall unhygienic environment created a rather unappetizing atmosphere, which regrettably led my party of four to opt for an to go order rather than dining in as originally planned. Furthermore, I observed a general lack of efficiency and an unprofessional demeanor among several staff members. There appeared to be delays in service, and some interactions conveyed a less than welcoming attitude. However, I would like to specifically commend one male employee, who handled our order with exceptional professionalism and a positive attitude. He efficiently prepared all four of our burritos and provided a commendable level of customer service, despite what seemed to be a challenging operational environment. His dedication truly stood out. I encountered an issue when attempting to apply my loyalty points to the purchase; the system was apparently non functional at the time of my visit, preventing me from utilizing my accumulated rewards. read more

Every time I go in there (which is almost always at 6:45 pm on Thursday nights) they never have hard shell tacos available. When I ask if they can make some they always say no because it takes too long to warm up the fryer. The old manager used to make them on the spot if they were out, but now they refuse to make them, even when they are all standing around doing nothing. read more

I normally never have a problem with this place, but wow did they drop the ball this time. Whoever put my order together has an issue with me, or they just did a really bad job. Next time maybe I'll call and inform them that I didn't order from the kids menu. Would've included a pic, but apparently forgot to take one. read more

I got a burrito and it was terrible. The rice was cold and hard. The chicken tasted weird and they barely put any on there.

Great food, clean and fast service. Staff was courteous and friendly. Location was easy to get to.

Genuinely the worst experience I've ever had at a restaurant. During my visit around a week ago, there were at least 8 employees on the floor during peak dinner hours (it was around 5:30pm) and they were completely out of sautéed veggies on both the pick up station and the main station. The girl behind the counter just shrugged when she said they were out. What's wild to me is that the other employees were standing around chatting instead of prepping food. There was nothing on the grill and not one employee on the floor was doing anything. Only a few people in the back were actually doing their job. It's an embarrassing way to run a business. Management needs to step in here. Honestly, I'm not even mad about the outage of the item, only the lack of effort from the employees. Please do better. Not to mention, the place was kind of a disaster. Outside, the trash was overflowing and it was the same with the inside trash. There is so much in need of improvement. Honestly, not worth my money or time. read more

I love chipotle, I have had it all across the country. I will say without a doubt this is the worst chipotle I have even had the displeasure of experiencing. The food is not fresh, tastes off, especially the lettuce. The chips were also completely stale. The restaurant is In disrepair and the floors are sticky. The trash bins outside overflowing with trash with pieces blowing away in the wind. Behind the counter, instead of being greeted or welcomed you will get a disgruntled "what do you want". If you love chipotle like me, stay far away from this location. read more

Literally the worst chipotle. I've tried to give it so many tries, it's the closest chipotle to where I live, an hour and a half away. So when we drive through the area and I haven't had it for months and I'm 8 months pregnant, my hopes are HIGH. The vibes are bad, the portions are bad, this last time I ordered a bowl and received a burrito upon pickup... just bad. read more

Chipotle is good, but this location is quite unfriendly and lacks proper training... Cashier was very unapproachable, no greetings, no thank you's, honestly nothing was said besides "cash or card". The store didn't have sofritas so I decided to go with a veggie bowl. Apparently guacamole doesn't come with the veggie bowl anymore, so I was charged extra for my meatless bowl. Not a big deal, if the workers were friendly, but this wasn't the case. Definitely disappointed. read more

I recently am traveling for work and staying in Dubuque. I went in last week and everything was great. The service was top notch and the cashier was pleasant. Food was great and was still fresh when I got it back to the room. Today's trip was all going good until it came time for the cashier. Was just rude, no hi no nothing beside you had a bowl with chicken and queso? Then I was told the total and when I asked for the receipt I got it's in the bag. I said ok thank you have a great day and not a response to be had beside the face of someone not wanting to be at that store. Got home the food was just as good as last time. It's not going to stop me from going for my weekly trip why I'm here. The place is clean, and inviting. read more

The portions were small and my daughter wanted an extra side of cheese in which they gave her instead of beans in her kids meal. A worker then proceeded to charge us $5.10 more for the extra side, saying it counted as another kids meal. Was swept up in the chaos and didn't realize the extra charge until I got home. Very unhappy with this service and ridiculous extra charge. read more

Super nice staffs. My friend and I came in for dinner while we were waiting for his tires to be changed. Super simple, I order bowl w/ tortilla on the side, steak, salsa, corn, cheese, sour cream, guacamole (extra $), lettuce and sprite in glass bottle since their ice maker wasn't working. The plus side is that the tortilla was still really hot (temp) as I unwrapped it in the dine-in area. read more

I love Chipotle, however this is the most mismanaged establishment I've ever been to. They are always understaffed and out of ingredients, not to mention that this location has become notorious for stale rice, leading me to file 4 complaints on 4 separate occasions. Arrived around 5:00 PM on 6/4. About the same time a month previous. When entering the establishment there 3-4 customers in line ordering food. As I waited my turn at the counter I glanced across the seating area with one patron seated. The tables and drink station appeared as if they hadn't been cleaned in quite some time. There were no forks, and 3 of the 4 napkin holders were empty. A month ago it was nearly the same identical appearance. My wanting to sit and eat inside totally changed based on appearance. On 6/4, I stepped up to the counter with no greeting or how can I help you today. It felt awkward to some degree. I'm not sure if it is the training involved but there didn't appear to be any consistency as to how items were prepared. My bowl compared to the bowl in front of and the next customer. I love Chipotle. Probably why I specifically make the trip from Cuba City, WI to eat there. Work needs to be done at this restaurant on dining room appearance, and overall service to make it inviting. One suggestion. When not busy: CLEAN! read more

If I could give this Chipotle location less than one star, I would. It's specifically the Dodge St/ Wacker Dr location that is hands down one of worst restaurants I've ever seen or been to. Everything was SO dirty (I don't think pictures could capture the filth), the food was cold, the tortillas were torn, they didn't have any baskets and half the food options were out and nothing was fresh (crunchy cold rice). The ice machine was broken so the fountain drinks were warm and they had no teas or agua frescas ...I've been to this location two times now (won't be a third time) and they're always super understaffed. It's unfair for the young people working there to have zero leadership, trainings, or structure and have to keep the business running by themselves. Maybe this chain isn't popular enough up here to support the business. Its a pity bc this is the closest location we have and my husband and I both wish it wasn't such a dumpster fire. read more

We had lunch here while staying in a hotel nearby. This particular location had plenty of staff, good food and was very clean inside. sad for whoever owns this chipotle. the workers don't give a damn about anything. Mobile orders are always wrong. place is a disaster.

Ordered online for pickup, first time eating at a Chipotle. Kid's cheese quesadilla had been sitting on the griddle for so long that the cheese had boiled out of it and was basically inedible. Good thing we got a large order of chips and queso because that was her dinner then. Chips were really stale too. Queso inexplicably got runnier as it got colder. Wife got tacos, stale shells there as well. Other kid got a salad that had the guac on top (was supposed to be a side) and so much sour cream it was better off as a chip dip than a salad. My burrito was ok, the local chain Pancheros is waaay better for cheaper. read more

This was hands down the worst chipotle I have ever been too. First of all we walked in and were maybe 3rd in line and we waited a while to even begin ordering. Then they took my son's order and we waited quite a while to be asked to continue our other orders. It was quite the fiasco just to get our order in. We were in the ordering process for roughly 20 minutes. Then, when I asked for guacamole for my veggie bowl (included in the price) they said they were out. A chipotle out of guacamole makes zero sense to me, and a veggie bowl without guacamole is basically blasphemy in my opinion. So I asked if I could have queso instead and they were like "we still have to charge you for it." I was like "but I didn't get any guacamole." They then said "oh well that will be ready in 10 minutes." At this point I was pretty sure all our food was barely warm and my son's quesadilla was probably cold so I wasn't interested in waiting for that. I said as much and they were like "oh sorry we are short staffed." So, in the end I paid for queso and guacamole but never got the guacamole at all. I don't know how many folks it takes to run a chipotle but I saw roughly 7 people back there and at multiple times I saw at least 2-3 just shooting the breeze. So I didn't really buy the excuse they were short staffed. They were also pretty rude about the whole thing. I finally just said "whatever charge me whatever you want I just want to sit down and eat." So we finally sit down (30 minutes after entering, and we inexplicably had to take the chairs off the table we wanted to eat at - it was 1:45pm... I still have no idea what that was about) and we heard them tell everyone that came in they'd wait 10 minutes for guacamole. We definitely ate for more than 10 minutes and guacamole never appeared for me or anyone else waiting. There was also one woman standing at the mobile order checkout waiting for her order the entire time we were in this chipotle. This was a wholly awful experience. If you want to get food and NOT get what you paid for, this is your place!! Every single time I come to this store, I get portions that wouldn't even feed a toddler. I went in and asked for a bowl with white rice and no beans, when it came time to get a protein, I asked for steak and they put maybe 3-5 pieces total on it. I asked if that was all that they had and then they put another 2-3 pieces on it. When asking for more I was told I would have to pay for double protein!! How are you going to charge someone DOUBLE for not even getting the correct portion in the first place. Never have had this much trouble with very small portions (i'm talking, not even the spoon is covered in a single layer) at a chipotle ever and I stop in frequently. The manager is the worst with it too!! Can barely get a scoop of rice out of him so I am always having to ask for extra to get a normal portion. I will just have to take my business elsewhere since it's the only Chipotle in Dubuque. Worst Chipotle ever. read more

I was visiting Dubuque and went to this location for dinner. It was one of the worst experiences I've ever had at a chipotle restaurant. I couldn't believe how low this chain has gone in quality. This location was so dirty. I couldn't find a table to sit in. The staff seems really overworked, the food is low in quality, and service is nonexistent. chipotle used to be one of my favorite restaurants. I can see that this location is lacking real management. Usually I do not eat Mexican food except for what I make at home, even in supposedly good Mexican restaurants, because the quality of the ingredients is so poor. And there are very few Dubuque restaurants of any kind that meet my standards. (I pretty much only eat at home since moving to this area since getting the kind of food that I want - local/organic/etc. - is pretty much unavailable in restaurants here.) I have heard so much about Chipotle being the best chain restaurant in terms of ingredients that one day I decided to give it a try though. And it turned out to be pretty good! I was surprised. The food seemed pretty edible to me (an accomplishment). The service people also were really friendly and the facilities were pleasant. And the price was fine. So I am going to try going back again. read more

Multiple issues w a pretty straightforward DoorDash order. We ordered 3 tacos- the veggie taco did not include the actual veggies and was a plain black bean "taco." They must've run out of proper taco tortillas because my "tacos" were served on burrito tortillas that had been sliced into quarters. The side of guac that was on the receipt was not delivered. Salad dressing for the salad that was ordered was not delivered either. The food was also very cold on arrival despite arriving very quickly.
