This is the worst Chipotle I've ever been to in my life. The employees seemed like they didn't want to be there. The customer right before me received giant scoops of meat, but when it was my turn, a different server who was assigned to my bowl gave me a tiny two-ounce scoop. The overall energy was very low. I've been to many Chipotle locations in many different states, and I will never go to this one again. I was very unsatisfied with the experience. I recommend going somewhere else, like Jersey Mike's, where the employees are happy to be there and treat customers with respect. Unfortunately, my experience was significantly below the standards I typically associate with your brand, and I felt it was important to bring these issues to your attention. Upon entering, I was immediately struck by the discernible lack of cleanliness throughout the dining area. The tables appeared unsanitized, garbage receptacles were overflowing, and there was a noticeable absence of essential amenities such as napkins. This overall unhygienic environment created a rather unappetizing atmosphere, which regrettably led my party of four to opt for an to go order rather than dining in as originally planned. Furthermore, I observed a general lack of efficiency and an unprofessional demeanor among several staff members. There appeared to be delays in service, and some interactions conveyed a less than welcoming attitude. However, I would like to specifically commend one male employee, who handled our order with exceptional professionalism and a positive attitude. He efficiently prepared all four of our burritos and provided a commendable level of customer service, despite what seemed to be a challenging operational environment. His dedication truly stood out. I encountered an issue when attempting to apply my loyalty points to the purchase; the system was apparently non functional at the time of my visit, preventing me from utilizing my accumulated rewards. read more

I love chipotle, I have had it all across the country. I will say without a doubt this is the worst chipotle I have even had the displeasure of experiencing. The food is not fresh, tastes off, especially the lettuce. The chips were also completely stale. The restaurant is In disrepair and the floors are sticky. The trash bins outside overflowing with trash with pieces blowing away in the wind. Behind the counter, instead of being greeted or welcomed you will get a disgruntled "what do you want". The store didn't have sofritas so I decided to go with a veggie bowl. Apparently guacamole doesn't come with the veggie bowl anymore, so I was charged extra for my meatless bowl. I recently am traveling for work and staying in Dubuque. I went in last week and everything was great. The service was top notch and the cashier was pleasant. Food was great and was still fresh when I got it back to the room. Today's trip was all going good until it came time for the cashier. Was just rude, no hi no nothing beside you had a bowl with chicken and queso? Then I was told the total and when I asked for the receipt I got it's in the bag. I said ok thank you have a great day and not a response to be had beside the face of someone not wanting to be at that store. Got home the food was just as good as last time. Super simple, I order bowl w/ tortilla on the side, steak, salsa, corn, cheese, sour cream, guacamole (extra $), lettuce and sprite in glass bottle since their ice maker wasn't working. Arrived around 5:00 PM on 6/4. About the same time a month previous. When entering the establishment there 3-4 customers in line ordering food. As I waited my turn at the counter I glanced across the seating area with one patron seated. The tables and drink station appeared as if they hadn't been cleaned in quite some time. There were no forks, and 3 of the 4 napkin holders were empty. A month ago it was nearly the same identical appearance. My wanting to sit and eat inside totally changed based on appearance. On 6/4, I stepped up to the counter with no greeting or how can I help you today. It felt awkward to some degree. I'm not sure if it is the training involved but there didn't appear to be any consistency as to how items were prepared. My bowl compared to the bowl in front of and the next customer. I love Chipotle. Probably why I specifically make the trip from Cuba City, WI to eat there. If I could give this Chipotle location less than one star, I would. It's specifically the Dodge St/ Wacker Dr location that is hands down one of worst restaurants I've ever seen or been to. Everything was SO dirty (I don't think pictures could capture the filth), the food was cold, the tortillas were torn, they didn't have any baskets and half the food options were out and nothing was fresh (crunchy cold rice). The ice machine was broken so the fountain drinks were warm and they had no teas or agua frescas ...I've been to this location two times now (won't be a third time) and they're always super understaffed. It's unfair for the young people working there to have zero leadership, trainings, or structure and have to keep the business running by themselves. Maybe this chain isn't popular enough up here to support the business. Its a pity bc this is the closest location we have and my husband and I both wish it wasn't such a dumpster fire. read more

We had lunch here while staying in a hotel nearby. This particular location had plenty of staff, good food and was very clean inside. Our only complaint was the line was long and it took awhile to be served. Overall, it was a better than average chipotle and was perfect for a fast casual meal. This was hands down the worst chipotle I have ever been too. First of all we walked in and were maybe 3rd in line and we waited a while to even begin ordering. Then they took my son's order and we waited quite a while to be asked to continue our other orders. It was quite the fiasco just to get our order in. We were in the ordering process for roughly 20 minutes. Then, when I asked for guacamole for my veggie bowl (included in the price) they said they were out. A chipotle out of guacamole makes zero sense to me, and a veggie bowl without guacamole is basically blasphemy in my opinion. So I asked if I could have queso instead and they were like "we still have to charge you for it." I was like "but I didn't get any guacamole." They then said "oh well that will be ready in 10 minutes." At this point I was pretty sure all our food was barely warm and my son's quesadilla was probably cold so I wasn't interested in waiting for that. I said as much and they were like "oh sorry we are short staffed." So, in the end I paid for queso and guacamole but never got the guacamole at all. I don't know how many folks it takes to run a chipotle but I saw roughly 7 people back there and at multiple times I saw at least 2-3 just shooting the breeze. So I didn't really buy the excuse they were short staffed. They were also pretty rude about the whole thing. I finally just said "whatever charge me whatever you want I just want to sit down and eat." So we finally sit down (30 minutes after entering, and we inexplicably had to take the chairs off the table we wanted to eat at - it was 1:45pm... I still have no idea what that was about) and we heard them tell everyone that came in they'd wait 10 minutes for guacamole. We definitely ate for more than 10 minutes and guacamole never appeared for me or anyone else waiting. There was also one woman standing at the mobile order checkout waiting for her order the entire time we were in this chipotle. This was a wholly awful experience. Ordered online for pickup, first time eating at a Chipotle. Kid's cheese quesadilla had been sitting on the griddle for so long that the cheese had boiled out of it and was basically inedible. Good thing we got a large order of chips and queso because that was her dinner then. Chips were really stale too. Queso inexplicably got runnier as it got colder. Wife got tacos, stale shells there as well. Other kid got a salad that had the guac on top (was supposed to be a side) and so much sour cream it was better off as a chip dip than a salad. If you want to get food and NOT get what you paid for, this is your place!! Every single time I come to this store, I get portions that wouldn't even feed a toddler. I went in and asked for a bowl with white rice and no beans, when it came time to get a protein, I asked for steak and they put maybe 3-5 pieces total on it. I asked if that was all that they had and then they put another 2-3 pieces on it. When asking for more I was told I would have to pay for double protein!! How are you going to charge someone DOUBLE for not even getting the correct portion in the first place. Never have had this much trouble with very small portions (i'm talking, not even the spoon is covered in a single layer) at a chipotle ever and I stop in frequently. The manager is the worst with it too!! Can barely get a scoop of rice out of him so I am always having to ask for extra to get a normal portion. I was visiting Dubuque and went to this location for dinner. It was one of the worst experiences I've ever had at a chipotle restaurant. I couldn't believe how low this chain has gone in quality. This location was so dirty. I couldn't find a table to sit in. The staff seems really overworked, the food is low in quality, and service is nonexistent. chipotle used to be one of my favorite restaurants. I can see that this location is lacking real management. And there are very few Dubuque restaurants of any kind that meet my standards. (I pretty much only eat at home since moving to this area since getting the kind of food that I want - local/organic/etc. - is pretty much unavailable in restaurants here.) I have heard so much about Chipotle being the best chain restaurant in terms of ingredients that one day I decided to give it a try though. And it turned out to be pretty good! I was surprised. The food seemed pretty edible to me (an accomplishment). The service people also were really friendly and the facilities were pleasant. And the price was fine. Multiple issues w a pretty straightforward DoorDash order. We ordered 3 tacos- the veggie taco did not include the actual veggies and was a plain black bean "taco." They must've run out of proper taco tortillas because my "tacos" were served on burrito tortillas that had been sliced into quarters. The side of guac that was on the receipt was not delivered. Salad dressing for the salad that was ordered was not delivered either. The food was also very cold on arrival despite arriving very quickly.
