Crazy, 3.5 years later and my review has not improved. This chipotle is always, I mean always busy. The bad times started about a month ago. Waiting in line with 5 people ahead of us, and it took 20 minutes to get a burrito bowl, come on! You're not even having to roll the damn thing, it's scooped into a bowl!!! So I sent a friendly email to corporate, saying jeez tiny portions, long wait and no one there seemed to care. I got a gift card for a free burrito, ohhhh boy! I go back to redeem that free burrito, and much to my amazement, the line is up to the door and doubled back onto itself. Jeez, maybe you should have more than 2 people working at 6 pm at night?!?!? So 25 minutes later and a few PhDs of the line, a new not so friendly email to the corporate office and I've decided that I am done with chipotle for a while. Lie and behold a coupon for buy one get one free shows up, bring the thrifty people we are, we head back. Make a plan, go right after work, 5:15- can't be too many people there then right? Wrong! That same scenario where the line is doubled back onto itself. So we walk in at 5:30, the wait is no lie,30 minutes!!!! How does that happen when everything is made ahead and in a steam table? So after 20 minute we get close to the spot to order and what do we see? 6 people and 2 managers setting up a training demo, 2 people working the line and a cashier.... So you guys decide that yes, let's train 6 new employees at 5:30 at night, and take up 2 managers time. So thus chipotle is known for the small portions and un-fair treatment of what you get size wise. I get up to the line, eager, it's lime a hot restaurant that you've been wanting to eat at, and the guy scoops a legit 1/2 cup of rice in the bowl.... Come on dude! You can raise your prices and then skimp out on servings, especially since it's only thus one chipotle! Finally go to cash out and I asked, why have 6 trainees and 2 managers doing nothing? I get the coined BS answer of how they're so busy and they are hiring more blah blah blah.... I'm sure if Steve Ells were to walk through the door, those managers would've tabled the training until, say there wasn't a 30 minute wait for a damn burrito with pre-made ingredients. I think it'd be worth the drive to downtown, pay to park and get better service at the other chipotle! Here's a thought, maybe open another store, close by. There like 4 Starbucks in a 4 blink radius,they know people will go, take a hint from another millennial fav Chipotle and open a new store! read more

Wow. Busy place! Just don't try and help whoever is making your burrito by pointing and extending your arm over the glass barriers- you'll be admonished and when she subsequently gets the burrito wrong she'll look even more annoyed! I love this chipotle for many reasons. The food is always great and they absolutely have to have the hardest working, friendly staff of all time. I've never waited for long, even with lines out the door and they always take their time to ask how you're doing - even in the madness of Boulder lunch hour. I love this place, but depending on who is working I often feel cheated out of a decent portion. Some of the line workers have started a trend of making you the smallest burrito possible. Vegetarian-friendly burritos. Great for a large lunch/dinner and you'll always get the same good quality. Fast and fresh.

This is one of my favorite Chipotle locations. The service is always speedy and they load up the toppings on your burrito. Other Chipotle locations are usually stingy about that. I usually order the burrito bowl with corn taco shells on the side, which is great because they usually don't charge for the taco shells. If you crave quesadillas, you should definitely try Chipotle's and get it with carnitas. It's delicious! read more

It is a typical chipotle with better than average views from the patio. It you need good food quickly this is a safe bet.

Although I love and support Chipotle as a business, I have mixed feelings about this particular one. There have been several times I have ordered a burrito here and the corn salsa was still frozen or parts of the steak tendon's that should have been cut out and discarded were served to me. There was one instance where I had what seemed to be uncooked corn in my burrito, which was still very hard, and it was mixed in with everything else. Because of this, I had to throw the whole thing away, as it was pretty much inedible. When I told an employee about this, they ignored me completely, and I never received any compensation for this waste of money. read more

Very fast and efficient service, even in the longest of lines. They always have a smile no matter how busy and the food has yet to be anything less than stellar. The phone app is awesome, no matter what store you're near, allowing you to bypass the line. I'm surprised I don't see more of that when I am in line. read more

Unlike any other chiptole, this chiptole is no bueno. The amount of food they served me was preposterous. I've never seen such a skimpy burrito bowl in my life. To make matters worse, shortly later when I made it home I blew up my toilet. My rectum was destroyed. Who knows what they're putting in the food. read more

I go to chipotle at least twice a week, sometimes in Denver and sometimes in Boulder. While this Boulder location has the most efficient line I've experienced, they are by far the stingiest location. If you ask for extra rice at any other location they will give you a decent extra half scoop. Here is like a tablespoon, and then they get annoyed when you ask again. Portions here are consistently smaller than any other location I've been too, and I've been to A LOT. It doesn't surprise be because it is Boulder, but may be useful looking into consistent serving sizes that correlate with every other location. read more

No changing tables in bathrooms that each have three full walls with plenty of room to fit one. Skimp you on everything, but if you ask for "a little more," they sarcastically dumo triple the normal amouny on your food. My bowl was basically sour cream with a little bit of everything else. I came in expecting a normal Chipotle brand experience and was disappointed. The staff was very un-energetic and unwelcoming as I was working down the line. The cashier did not make eye contact as she was ringing me up and was very short. I took my under-filled poorly wrapped burrito into the dining room and looked for a seat. The dining room was filthy with no apparent action to clean it up after my food was prepared. With so many options around I figured there would be more effort in the way of customer service. It will be a long time before I return to this Chipotle. read more

This location may be super busy but the employees are great! I got in a car accident on my way to pick up my order the other day :( but I had a friend go pick it up for me! She told them the situation and they made me a whole new order and gave me the cold order as left overs. They even wrote "feel better" on it as a kind gesture. Thank you to those who did this for me! PUERTORRICANS NOT ALLOWED We are a family of four relocating from Puerto Rico into Boulder and we just had the worst experience ever in a restaurant. Me and my husband asked for two beers and the manager "Jessica" also a latin women, requested us an ID, wich I understand and I glad the law is enforced. She rejected our ID's (Puerto Rico's valid drivers licence), she specifically said they were'nt valid in this specific store in Boulder CO because it is not a US ID. This was said in front of every custumer and employees at the store. We have our food already serve and that was the only reason we did not leave. We can travel to any state with just our drivers licence but we can't purchase alcohol with it at the Chipotle Boulder location as the manager stated! So sad a large food chain is so ignorant when it comes to geography and did not or acknowledge that Puertorricans are born US citizens! We will never step foot again on this or any other Chipotle store again. read more

I have been eating here regularly since they opened. As long as you go at a time when they are busy, you will get good food, but if you ever go at any off hours (say 3:00), the food will almost be guaranteed to suck as it will be old. I still give them four stars because once I realized how to game the system, I really have not had any bad experiences since. The food always tastes different it seems (no consistency in that respect), but it is still good so I can't complain. read more

This location has seriously gone downhill. Maybe because they're training new people, but the last few times I've stopped in here, the trainees who made my burritos were slow, inefficient, couldn't WRAP the burrito, so I ended up getting a mess of a creation. My kids love the taco kit that comes with 2 soft tacos, chips and a drink for under $5. Most of the staff are very friendly but I must admit, I have come across a few rude employees on the front line. There seems to always be a line but the service is pretty speedy. The staff was incredibly unenthusiastic and slow working while there was a line out the door at 8:30. I waited in line for probably 15 minutes before I was greeted and it took another 5 to finally finish paying. This is unnacceptable since every other chipotle ive been to is really efficiant and the employees are speedy and energetic. No one working looked like they even knew what they were doing and the line defeated them to the point that they didnt even care how long customers were having to wait in line. Easily the worst chipotle experience I've ever had. I've worked at 4 different food jobs and I can easily say that these employees should be held to a much higher standard in customer service, especially with how busy this location is. This chipotle is going downhill fast. Watch them close the burritos are turning out taco size. The employees rush the orders and neglect your input. Seems to be a trend having been a regular customer for years. Additionally the last few times I have been in I am being charged for things I do not order.
