The cookies are gourmet and taste so fresh like they are right out of the oven! I prefer chip over Crumbl for sure! The place is nice and cozy and the employees too!

Saw this place on our walk into downtown. Dessert before dinner? Maybe. One luck at the display cookies and they looked so colorless and lifeless. I decided the OG nor the Biscoff cookie looked even slightly carb worthy.

Had the munchies while walking around Boise and came upon this yummy place for dessert. Enjoyed some cookies and walked on.

    Tip of rubber glove.

Hello everyone. A few weeks ago, I had left a not very good review for Chips. I had a problem with the quality of the cookies. The people were very responsive to the issue. Well, today I visited the same store and couldn't believe my eyes. I had suggested that they look at their process and seen that they changed. Very impressive at the response. Great people and management.

I love me a chocolate chip cookie so I had to make the walk downtown to Chip based on the reviews and looking at the menu but it fell slightly flat during my visit. Be sure to walk since they do have a parking lot but the area around is metered so you will need to pay. We came during a weekday afternoon so no line at all but when we entered we weren't really welcomed in and you could see the staff didn't acknowledge us. We were on the hunt for cookies so we still ended up getting 3 cookies (the og chocolate chip, biscoff, and I forgot the last flavor we got but it had marshmallows like lucky charms). For the 3 cookies it was $12+. After we left we saw they also had a deal for 4 cookies which we should have gotten but the staff didn't let us know about it :( I was excited when we left to feel the box slightly warm (who doesn't love a fresh cookie!?). When we finally sat down to enjoy they are pretty chunky cookies and wanted the cookie reveal of the melty goodness in the middle but it was more dough than chocolate. I usually enjoy a thicker cookie but it didn't melt in my mouth with each bite and felt a little dry. The OG was my favorite for sure based on the chocolate they put in the cookie. The biscoff was nice as well but would have preferred more biscoff in the cookie so I could have it throughout. The last seasonal flavor we had wasn't my favorite and felt like it had lucky charms marshmallows in the middle. Overall, worth trying just to try it and see what the hype is about but I would opt to try some other cookie shops before coming back.

I freakin love this place. I walk across town often to just grab a small treat to eat! Several times we'll get them delivered to the office... much better than crumble. Give 'em a try!

Parking lot chaos. Not a vacant stall last few times we have tried to come by.

So this place has delicious cookies. But 1. they do not offer a gluten/sugar free option and 2. THE PARKING LOT IS A PAID PARKING LOT, so there is literally never any parking!! We have driven away several times and gone elsewhere for dessert bc of this.

Kiddo was on the hunt for a cookie, so we turned to our favorite referral service, Yelp, which led us to Chip. We drove into downtown and were able to get parking right in the front of shop. The shop is simple and largely unadorned, save for a neon sign proclaiming "Chip happens in Boise". There was a small selection to choose from; we went with the classic chocolate chip and decided to add a few sugar cookies for good measure. The chocolate chip was ooey gooey and super flavorful, not too sweet and HUGE. Kiddo was able to wolf it down, as kiddos do, but I ended up splitting my cookie with my husband. Kiddo has now proclaimed that going to Chip is a tradition every time we are near Boise. Looks like I'll be back soon!

This is a cute place in Boise that I was excited to try! We ordered all four of the offered flavors: OG, Biscoff chip, monster, and sugar chip. They were all very different but all so good. The monster was my favorite kind of cookie - warm, gooey, and crisp on the edges. It was amazing. These cookies weren't the most aesthetically pleasing but made up it in flavor. Plus, they made an awesome road trip snack as we headed back home from Boise. Definitely give this place a try!

I couldn't sleep last night so of course I decided to do some research on some local bakeries in…read moreour area. I am always down for something sweet! I have driven by this shop a million times but never got the chance to make it in. After checking out all their photos and goodies off their website, making my way in today was a must. The shop is very small and intimate. You are immediately greeted by all the goodies as soon as you walk in. Colorful macarons, the cutest cheesecakes and beautifully displayed scones and muffins. The display case is nice and bright, allowing you to be able to see the details and coloring of each macaron. The pretty piping on the cheesecake. The fun layers of the cakes. It was hard not to want one of each thing out of the case. It was our first visit for my daughter and I. As a new customer, you're trying to absorb everything about this store. You want to look at all your options! The gal that initially was going to help us pretty much just stood there and stared at us. Didn't really talk to us. Didn't ask if we had any questions. She had the most unpleasant look on her face. It honestly made me feel so unwanted and uncomfortable to be at the shop. I offered to let another customer go ahead of us so she wasn't just standing there waiting for us to order something. The second customer also needed some time. Finally a gentleman came in and she got him some coffee started. Another gal was working and she helped us. At that point, I was so turned off about getting anything but we were already there so we decided to grab a few things. My daughter and I decided to share a 6 pack of macarons. We snagged lemon, birthday cake, coffee, chocolate, creme brulee and cookies and cream as our flavor choices. She also got a red velvet cheesecake for us to share after dinner tonight. On our ride home, we broke that box of macarons open and had to try them all. The lemon was sweet and tangy, I love the lemon custard in the middle. Birthday cake reminds me of a pink frosted animal cookie. The chocolate was my favorite! Very chocolate forward and sweet. Coffee reminded me of a vanilla latte in cookie form. Cookies and cream was much like cookies and cream ice cream. More cream forward and less chocolate cookie. Creme brulee had sugar toasted on top which created a slight bitterness to the cookie but it was balanced with how sweet the cookie was. All 6 macarons were fabulous! I look forward to having the red velvet cheesecake after dinner tonight. I like that there are so many gluten free options at this bakery. I adore how petite and prettily decorated the pastries were. I appreciate that this joint is local as I love supporting local businesses. But, first impressions are so huge for me and my first impression of their customer service wasn't there for me. You can push out great products all you want but how you make someone feel during their purchase can make or break your business. As fantastic as my macarons were, all I can think about was how uncomfortable I was when I was just being stared at. Macarons and cheesecake can be purchased at a few joints in our valley. I'm happy I got to enjoy some goodies with my daughter but I'm going to go support another local business that will actually make me feel like a valued customer and not a bother.

Headed to gym event, but needed doughnuts haha! Did they have them? Nnnnnnope! Made me very sad. This place sells their cookies in WinCo and I think Whole Foods. Their cookies are RIDICULOUSLY AMAZING! I could easily eat a bag of 8 in probably half a day lol. Then I'd get all depressed because my bikini wouldn't fit right :( So when I asked about the doughnuts she said they haven't been making them and I think she said it was because of staffing issues. Thanks to the virus and people now refusing to work because the government is giving them too much in unemployment, this is the case with way too many restaurants, bakeries, etc. That's my subtle jab at the current government and what they're doing to the country lol! So I left without doughnuts BUUUUT I did buy a bag of cookies. The same bag I could have bought at WinCo or Whole Foods. She said basically everything they did that morning was make the cookies for the stores and she watched them leave to take them to the stores. Exciting! I felt all guilty as soon as I bit into one of the cookies but OMFG THEY ARE SO GOOD! Have y'all ever been to a crumbl? If you have one where you live GOOOOO! This places cookies are basically they lower calorie version of Crumbl because some Crumbl cookies have 850 calories in ONE cookie hahahaha! Is it worth it tho? Absolutely lol So are these cookies, but if you are trying to watch your calorie intake then maybe stay away because you can tear through a bag of these with ease. Chocolate crinkle and snickerdoodles are my go-to's! Ooooooh! Ok, y'all, WTF is with the twist ties you used to tie up the bags of cookies? STOP using those! They are literally THE WORST! I'm sure they're cost effective but stop! I'm also sure with selling to those two major grocery stores plus selling them in your bakery that you can absolutely afford to use better ties, ones that we can actually open and reuse vs these where you can't just open them, you have to cut the top of the bag and then basically...the bag is useless after that. I know this sounds petty, but ugh they're they worst! Aside from that, this place is super nice. It's in a very weird location tho, I was surprised by that. It's like the only sit down place on this street. Across from them is a warehouse of some sort, half a block up are homes, it's just seems like it would be better on the north end, or NW Boise, basically anywhere other than where it is lol. The staff is super sweet, the ones that were there lol. I'll definitely be going back. Glad my first experience there was a decent one even if they didn't have doughnuts for my heffa ass hahahaha! Thanks for reading, Yelpiiteees! Cheers!

I was pulling onto Orchard by the Idaho Youth Ranch and saw their sign. I needed to stop in and see what kind of goodies they had. Walking in, you're greeted by their menu. Lots of goodies to choose from. I appreciate that this bakery uses gut friendly sourdough. My friend who I normally buy my sourdough from decided to take a break from baking. So now I'm trying to find someone who can compare to her delicious sourdough. The store is awkwardly set up. Racks separating the bakery from the store front. If someone is standing in front of the bread rack, you're pretty much stuck until they move. The front of the bread rack is what leads to the front door. But, as congested as it was, the racks and shelves were perfectly stocked loaves of sliced sourdough bread, cookies and rolls. It was overwhelming trying to check everything out without fearing you might bump into someone. They only had a couple options for the sweet goods, I honestly thought there would be more for Valentine's day. There were quite a few options of savory goods. The lady behind the counter said they had a late start so that could possibly be why there weren't many sweets available. I did grab a red velvet cinnamon roll and some chocolate chip cookies for a couple of my Valentines. I was interested in getting a loaf of sourdough for my husband. The only loaves they had available were kinda small. I was hoping for something bigger loaf that would last us for more than meal. The cookies were a hit with my family. I did have some of my daughter's red velvet cinnamon roll. It was killer. The cinnamon roll was soft and flavorful from the chocolate. The frosting on top added an extra touch of sweetness. I only had a couple bites but I could have polished it off easily. Not gonna lie, those 2 things I got were pricey. The singular cinnamon roll was 7+ bucks. It was a decent size but pricey for just 1 roll. The cookies were 4 to a package and at a similar price point or more. For those 2 items my total was 20 bucks. With people budgeting their money now a days, bread and pastries from this joint would be considered a luxury. People want a good amount of bang for their buck. What I got today was good but I don't see myself coming regularly when there's other local bakers that can make the same product for a portion of the cost. My interaction with the gal behind the counter was ok. She was more chatty with a couple regular guests. I'm happy I got to stop into this local bakery and grab a couple things.
