The restaurant is clean, spacious, and beautifully decorated with a traditional Chinese touch that even changes with the seasons. The manager is incredibly nice! I had a large to-go order, and he had someone help carry everything out to my car! I really appreciate that level of service, it really stands out. Their dim sum is definitely the BEST in town. I highly recommend the siu mai and the dry beef rice noodle. The siu mai are huge and super juicy, and the beef rice noodle has that perfect smoky, charred aroma from high-heat stir-frying! They are truly the King of Dim Sum!

The carts carrying small dishes of delicious tasting morsels, sort of a tapas experience with Chinese food rather than Spanish. The food is solid if not spectacular. The ambiance reminds me so much of my experiences in Hong Kong. Not to mention the good housekeeping seal of approval when you see how many Chinese and Asians are there dining! If the people who know what 'real Chinese cooking' is all about are eating there, you know you are getting as close to the real thing as possible. Friendly staff will help you on ordering if you ask, but as a rule they will assume you know what you want when you sit down. If you are unfamiliar just ask. I've never had any issues getting answers. So, if you are looking for 'real' Chinese food, served in a unique way, please check out Dim Sum King...but be careful. The plates are small and the food is delicious but don't get too carried away trying everything because it is surprisingly filling. Which is nice because you'll want to come back again.

It added to the flavor without being the only thing to the food. I think everyone's favorite thing of the night was the Sichuan Mala Dry Pot. It had amazing flavor, good spice, and everything in it was just awesome. I genuinely hope it's on the regular menu but I'm not seeing it on the online menu so it will just have to haunt my dreams. I loved the Thai Curry Shrimp Wontons but they aren't as shareable as I was expecting. I was thinking they'd be special dumplings but it was more like a dumpling soup. I really liked the Ma Po Tofu which was unexpected because I usually don't like tofu. But this tofu was super soft and decently flavorful. The Egg Drop Soup was very flavorful and doesn't have the weird aftertaste that some of them have. I wasn't as impressed with the Ma La chicken as I hoped so I wouldn't get that for myself again but everything else was delicious and I'd get it all again. The Vietnamese Coffee was really cool. It reminded me of one I'd read about recently in a book about Vietnamese restaurants. Surprise, I'm a nerd. It was cool to experience IRL something I'd just been reading about. The Thai Iced Tea though was not my thing. My friend who is into that specific type of tea said it was really good so please listen to her, not me since I am really weird about tea. BEST FRIED DUMPLINGS!…read more I still love this place and drop by for their dumplings whenever I'm in the area. Their spring rolls are also yummy. The Dragon and Phoenix was just meh. The shrimp was good but there wasn't as much as I would've liked. But the breading on the chicken was too much for me and I just wouldn't get that again. I can confirm, having tried two more breaded chicken dishes, that I do not like the breaded chicken here. I will stick to the grilled chicken.
