When you first get to the table, they ask you what you want to drink the only thing that's included in the buffet is hot tea and water (we asked they did not volunteer that info) . They try to upsell you on a soda or other beverage just so you're aware. They have Christmas decorations up and they keep it very clean in here. There's a guy that's walking around with a electric sweeper. It's virtually silent. I think it's battery powered. But anytime anybody leaves he's over there cleaning the table and making sure that there's no crumbs which I really appreciate. The restaurant is family friendly. They have chicken tenders, macaroni and cheese, and other kid friendly foods.... as well as high chairs. They have both booths and tables even large tables that can fit up to eight people. I would definitely come back if I was in the area. I wish they made it easier to search for this restaurant online because it' is a really nice place. The parking lot was completely jampacked and the restaurant was 90% full. The food was all hot and fresh because they were consistently filling it. Definitely recommend dining here!

The Special Pan Fried Noodles with Shrimp were in a creamy sauce and the noodles were very good. The shrimp (always hard to cook right) was perfect. When we were done, my wife had leftovers. Our server took the time to explain how to reheat them, and still have the shrimp taste good. She also explained how to open the package and really lay out a colorful Chinese leftover meal.

They have changed up the appearance of the place - adding artwork in the building to tie it into the theme, and some curtains between the counter and the back area where the food is cooked. You walk in, look at the menu, make your order and pay. They will provide you with a pager so when you sit down, you know your food is ready. They will set off the pager and call your pager number out. They then had you a plastic bag or bags (depending on your order size) with your food, and you go back to your table. The bag had napkins, 1 fork and 2 sets of chopsticks in it. We found more of the same in the old buffet cart, which is just south of the drink dispenser. With the logistics handled, let's talk about the food. There is the Hibachi section, where they have Chicken, Steak, Shrimp, Salmon, Scallops, Vegetable and Filet Mignon, along with combinations of those. There is the Special Yatta section, which has combinations of Hibachi Chicken and California Roll, with a drink. There is a noodle combo section with all sorts of noddle combos, and then they have a respectable sushi section with 29 different rolls available in "basic", "Special" and "Traditional" varieties. So what did we have? We ordered the Hibachi Combo Fillet Mignon and Shrimp, along with 2 Special Rolls - Torch Salmon and Washington Roll. The Hibachi Fillet Mignon (sic) and Shrimp was good - it came with vegetables, rice (not chicken fried or pork fried, just fried which is fine with me) and then a good portion of both meats. This would be great for one person with an appetite. We shared it and the sushi. The Torch Salmon was heated with a torch - you can hear it when they start it up. It was a warm roll, and was quite good. The Washington Roll was also very tasty and was served chilled (not torched). Both sushi rolls came with ginger and wasabi. The wasabi was respectably hot, as expected. They also have appetizers on the menu. To help you out, I have included both sides of the menu in the photos. The drink machine is your typical 8 or 10 selection unit. The drinks tasted fine. This is a restaurant we need in Rochelle. It offers variety that is much needed. Give it a try!

We were shown a table away from the door as it was really cold that day, so the staff were quite considerate. There was also a sushi bar area. We opted for ordering from the menu which comes with appetizers. When inquired about gluten free options, the staff explained clearly what could be gluten free. When the food arrived, we were quite impressed that they do take allergen seriously. The put a gluten free indicator on the dish to make sure it was clearly marked. In term of the taste, they were delicious. I particularly like the soup, it was flavorful, and definitely good for a cold day!
