Wok of Life! This was on Uber Eats and when you want Chinese take out, places like this fit the bill. Prices were reasonable and I later learned the portions are a little smaller than some of the other places. However, I wasn't disappointed by that as the fridge wasn't filled with leftovers. The Hot and Sour Soup was one of my favorite version of this. It was super thick and had a nice spice and sweetness to it. It was loaded with all kinds of goodies too. The Fried Wontons were a steal at under $6 for 12 of them. They came with the bright red sauce for dipping and it fit the bill for a nice appetizer. The sesame chicken was good and came with white rice. The House Lo Mein wasn't my favorite as it had round noods and was more yellowish than brown. I'd order from here again for sure. read more

I don't know if I was just starving but this food hit the spot! the low mein actually blew my mind and the steamed dumplings were delicious. I tried China Wok for the first time and my opinion is it's very decent takeout Chinese food. The staff took my order and were very polite and friendly. They didn't talk over you so the order turned out exactly how I wanted it. The environment is a typical takeout place. My order was received very hot and fresh. My only complaint about the food was that the soup must have been sitting for a while because it didn't taste fresh and had kind of a burnt flavor. The Mei-Fun noodles and vegetable egg fu young were very delicious. You could tell the vegetables, eggs, and noodles were very fresh, and were seasoned to perfection. This is very good quality for takeout food. We will definitely be returning to try other dishes, especially since we do Chinese on family movie night. read more

Was on my way to Publix to get a bowl of soup on a cold chilly day and when I parked I noticed China Wok in the same plaza and suddenly had a hankering for hot and sour soup instead. I checked Yelp to see if the place was any good or if there were any pics/reviews of the soup. It looked good to me and there was a pic of the menu that showed lunch specials at $5.95 that came with rice and an eggroll or soup. That was literally cheaper than a bowl of soup at Publix so I was sold. I ended up getting chicken and vegetables with pork fried rice and hot and sour soup to go. The wait was less than 5 mins so I ended up just eating it there. Food was hot, fresh, delicious, and the portion was huge! It actually ended up being $9+ after tax and then I realized the prices had gone up to $7.95. Apparently the pic of the menu I saw on Yelp was from 10 years ago so that made sense with today's food prices. Regardless, it was still a good deal and good food with good service. Easily the best Chinese takeout spot in East Orlando! I've ordered from here more than a handful of times and the food has consistently tasted fresh and delicious! The combination General Tso chicken is my go-to as it is sweet, tangy, and the portion size lasts for days!! The ingredients are fresh, portions are generous, only $6.35 out the door! Definitely worth considering for takeout. The owners are from Fuzhou, China. Fuzhou cuisine is one of the four subsets of Fujian cuisine, which is one of the Eight Great Traditions of Chinese cuisine. Let's start with the service, which should have received less than one star. My son and I arrived and stood at the counter while the woman behind the counter was on the phone. Shut hung up and without even an acknowledgement towards us, began what I could only term "busy work", like putting a paper bag within a plastic bag for a to go order that was not even on the table yet. Finally, after about a minute (no exaggeration) of her ignoring us and literally yelling at a guy seated some indiscernible question, the gentleman cooking asks us if he could help. We state we called in a take out order, so he asks what we would like. We explain we already called it in and were told it would be five minutes. Now when it comes to the collection of the payment, the lady who ignored us was right there demanding payment. Now for the food. I started with a cup of wanton egg drop soup which was pretty good and stuffed with four wanton (most places give three). A good start that, unfortunately, would not be the trend. The egg roll was abysmal, completely horrid. I went with the pork lo mein. A good portion, but at best it would be described as mediocre. My son had the General Tso's chicken combination dish and said it was bland, as well, and the fried rice was horrid. Good Chinese food has become difficult to find in East Orlando. I was not in a happy mood when I arrived because I popped into Steak n Shake because I was in the mood for a one of their burgers and a bowl of their chili but after waiting for over 15 minutes for someone to take my order, I left. I had Chinese for lunch so I was not really in the mood for Chinese for dinner so NOTHING on the menu popped at me. After about 10 minutes I decided to give the Seafood Delight a try along with some of their yummy Spring Rolls and a bottle of water to wash it down. Yes, I know I usually get tea but I was at Vespr all afternoon drinking tea and the last thing I wanted was more tea... My Spring rolls were brought to me with my water and as usual, they were piping hot and golden brown. I had to let them cool for a bit and just a little bit of soy sauce on them makes me happy. Now for the Seafood Delight... The portion was very nice and I was only able to eat about half of it. The flavor was good but my only two complaints are that the lobster was a tad bit overcooked and they used imitation Krab instead of REAL Snow Crab. If you are going to use REAL lobster and REAL shrimp and REAL Scallops... Use REAL Snow Crab as well. It was still good but the addition of REAL Snow Crab would have made a huge difference in flavor!!! MY wife and many in her office are regulars here for lunch. One... They are close to Research Park so it is convenient. Two... They usually have the order ready and waiting when they arrive... Three... The food is CONSISTENTLY good. Nothing is more annoying than going to a place and the quality of the food varies visit to visit. The Egg Drop Soup, Hot n Sour Soup, Spring Rolls and wings are things my wife and I order on a regular basis and have yet to have had a complaint. They substituted wonton soup for my egg roll which other restaurants will not do for you. The only thing was there was water chestnuts in my food after I asked for "no water chestnuts". I got the typical American favorite, General Tso, and was not disappointed! Very nice and crispy without being too "bread-like" the way a lot of these types of places are.
