Visiting from out of town- after a long day outside we decided to order in and found this gem. We had cashew chicken, kung pao chicken. Beef with snow peas. Szechuan wontons and lo mein noodles. Everything was delicious. The chicken dishes had a little more filler than we prefer but still everything tasted great. Good price, and great food. May even go back before we leave town. Would definitely recommend. read more

If I could give zero stars I would. First off, there's a horrible smell right outside the front door of this restaurant. It smells like a dumpster. That should have been my first clue to not even go in. I ordered the hibachi chicken and the total came to about $15. It was about 75% rice and 25% chicken. The chicken itself was chewy and fatty. When I first received the order, I did ask the cashier if that was the correct amount of rice? She just pointed to the menu and said something I couldn't understand. I have been told that Yang's Kitchen restaurant is the very best in the area. The price for the hibachi chicken there is about $10 as well. They will get my business from now on. read more

Friendly and treated me with respect! The food is amazing! Will recommend definitely. It's fresh and good amount of ingredients.

I just wanted a quick meal and this place hit the spot. I ordered 4 wings and friends rice and it was made to order. The chicken was crispy and flavorful. The rice was good, but it had too many white onions (personal preference) and they could've been cut a tad smaller. The menu is big and I will probably return for a lunch special. The people were nice. read more

chicken had no flavor, was dried and looked old. Rice was bland bland should have ordered China Palace on Dorchester road

I went in around 2:00 and there was no one else eating in there. I ordered a large chicken fried rice and received this. The main issues I have with what I received is that I was expecting there to be vegetables others than onions, maybe even just a frozen carrot/pea/corn blend, and I was expecting there to be more chicken. The onions are larger than the chicken. I think based on the amount of chicken in the container it must've been one chicken tender cut up and thrown in. I will say that the service was fast. read more

I feel cheated. I ordered Uber Eats and got the house hibachi without vegetables. This is steamed rice, pepper steak, two pieces of chicken chunks and 4 baby shrimp for $16+ ! Never again read more

Last night we had take out from this location. We've eaten here a several times and have never been disappointed. I had the Shrimp Mei Fun. Plenty of shrimp and it was delicious. My daughter had the Shrimp and broccoli. The shrimp was big and again plenty. I ate some of hers as well. For take out Chinese this place is very good. Sorry no pictures, I ate them too quickly! read more

Service was fast, no wonder my fried chicken wings were soggy. Ordered lemon pepper and didn't taste a lick of lemon pepper. Told her no onions in my rice, looked like they cut up a whole onion. I live 5 mins maybe not even that away so no way my fried chicken wings should have gotten soggy that fast. read more

The food is ok, I don't care too much for SC Asian food, being from NY. Their customer service is horrible. The only reason I'm usually there is because they're closest to where I live. read more

Ordered large chicken and broccoli meal, when I opened it to feed my family, it had about 7 pieces of chicken and a box full of broccoli. It was a spare of the moment decision to eat there but it will never happen again. It's all about the money to these people. read more

China Wok in Ladson is a really good choice for Chinese food. I have been very happy with all of the orders I have made here and everything has been fresh and tasty. They make it really easy to pick up your order and you can be in and out quickly when you are in a rush. The staff here is very cool and works hard to make sure that you get everything you need. You get a lot of food here for a good value. read more

Food is decent, attitudes so fucking terrible it's not even worth it. I came here 3 times because I believe everyone is human and have their bad days. Three separate weeks and times.. hire someone else to work the counter if you have that bad of a attitude. read more

Generic Americanized Chinese food. I get take out here every so often because it's conveniently located, and it has been consistently good. I have always had my order correct. Averaged priced, never waited more than 15 minutes, always hot. read more

This is my go-to Chinese spot for take out. I have never been disappointed with anything I've gotten from here. The service is fast and the food is good. I usually get the Seafood Delight, which comes with white rice. I would recommend this place to anyone in the Ladson area. read more

It's eh. Visited this establishment 3 times. It's lacking in the flavor department big time. The wonton soup was actually good this visit though. They robbed me of stuffing in my spring roll. It was basicly a fried wrapper. The crunches that come with the soup were stale (consistently). No napkins or sauces out for the customer. You have to ask for every little thing. I'll stick to my regular establishment in the Ladson area. read more

China Wok - Spring Roll. Scant amount of matchstick vegetables with a lot of crispy wrapper. I could see to the bottom of it. - Chinese Near Me - Ladson, South Carolina

This restaurant is horrible! The food was terrible! They served us stale tasting egg rolls and the food was really not good either. Will not go there again! read more

It's rare to find something so disappointing that I'm even willing to entertain the thought of giving it such a low star rating but China Wok was certainly unimpressive enough to accomplish this feat! This is the first Chinese food restaurant I tried after moving to the area and WOW was I disappointed. Ignoring the fact that I was spoiled during my 12 years living in Hawaii by the tasty balance between Americanized Chinese food and more traditional takes on the cuisine, this place is still disappointing. I can't remember exactly what I ordered because I made it a point to toss out the menu (it was that bad!) but everything was a disappointment. The meat dishes were either flavorless or wrongly sweet. The noodles were bland and they failed to tell me that every single dish comes with white rice so ordering fried rice and a side of white rice was insane. The sides of rice amounted to probably 3 full cups alone! Though according to bringmethat.com they will deliver to my home, I don't know if I'd ever be that desperate for delivery. SO disappointing! Also, very irritated that a restaurant that offers delivery service has ZERO web presence. It's one thing to have bad food but another thing to make procuring that bad food as inconvenient and difficult as possible. read more

Eh, slow service...overpriced for what you get. Really bad phone connection too, had a hard time getting my order across to them. Food was mediocre. It'll work in a pinch, but not my favorite. read more

I gave this 4 stars based on my expectation of what I think good Chinese takeout is. This obviously isn't going to be the same as a steakhouse, I think some people compare it to a fine dining experience. Decent for something quick and close to the house. My Szechuan beef and my wife's General Tso's chicken were both pretty good. The order was correct and that's about all I can ask for in a pick-up dinner when no one feels like cooking. read more

Most disappointing Chinese takeout I've ever had in my life. This was the first place I've tried after moving to Summerville, but I will definitely be going elsewhere next time. In my opinion it is quite hard to mess up Chinese takeout, especially when you don't have high expectations to begin with. I mean I know I'm not getting the same quality of food as if I went to a nice sit down restaurant. I ordered kung pao chicken and it was in no way kung pao chicken. All they gave me were a few pieces of unflavored heavily breaded chunks of what I guess was chicken in a pile of peanuts and celery. There was literally over 100 pieces of celery with about 8 pieces of chicken. So gross. Not the least bit spicy, nor did it have any kind of sauce. My boyfriend ordered beef lo mein. All he got was a pile of greasy noodles with a few tiny slivers of beef here and there and a few pieces of carrot. Also, they don't even deliver. Unless you're desperate, I would not recommend going here. read more

Our fave go-to chinese take-out restaurant when we're craving chinese food. It's the average take-out chinese restaurant that doesn't have all the bells and whistles. They're super fast and the food is delicious. I completely adore the family that owns this place. They are so sweet and nice whenever I see them. I'm a loyal customer and will be for the years to come. read more

The food is your pretty average Chinese takeout, but they have gotten our order wrong every single time we've ordered from them.

The best Chinese around. I've lived in different states in the USA and 20 years in Western Europe. This is the closest to real Chinese food you will get around here. Their sauces are much richer than most places. read more

Again, it's hard to find a good chinese restaurant...but this is awesome! I always get the chicken terryaki sticks with pork fried rice and it's always fresh and hot when it's delivered. My husband likes the egg rolls, and the crab rangoons are pretty delicious too! read more

Great go to take out, crab rangoons are just like the ones I grew up with they're not chincy at all. Standard menu. Very quick.

Food was disgusting. Ordered sweet and sour chicken, chicken fried rice, and veggie lo mein. Chicken fried rice smelled horrible. I tastes it and threw the entire thing away. Sweet and sour chicken was almost equally bad. The veggie lo mein was alright but it was too late at this point. I will never go back and don't recommend it to anyone. read more

Such great Chinese food and friendly staff! Very reasonable on pricing and always quick to get the food cooked!! Every Time I walk in there I'm always greeted with a smile!! Good Chinese food, not the best, but very good. Always friendly on the phone and when we pick it up.

This place is terrible! They charge you for every little thing you change and then they don't even give it to you! It is definitely run down, but since I just wanted to try it and was getting take out it really didn't matter what the decor was. The prices are about the same as other Chinese places in the area. I had General Tso chicken which came with fried rice and eggroll. My son and I split it since their was quite a bit. Didn't like the eggroll definitely not to my taste but the rest was fantastic. I will definitely stop in again. They had it ready in less than 15 minutes. I have now been back multiple times and still love it. read more

first timer and sceptic at first. delivery time was reasonable. i was happy with order. would call again.

Sweet and sour chicken was good. My wife likes the cheese wontons. I'm never expecting much so I wasn't let down. I don't see why this place gets such bad reviews. They are just like any other takeout Chinese food joint, maybe a little better. I rated 4 stars only because their pricing is confusing and seems to vary with every purchase. They also allow upgrades from white rice to shrimp fried rice one day, but then will give you both at additional cost another day. This is also typical with the language difference. All in all China Wok is a good place to pickup Chinese food. read more

Absolute worst Chinese take out in Summerville!! When there are many Chinese take outs in a town one would want to be on top of their game at ALL times!! We keep giving them another chance only to be taken every time. One time we called and wanted sweet and sour chicken and were told they had no chicken....they are in the same strip mall as Food Lion, they should never be out of chicken. Tonight we ordered beef & broccoli and what did I get...a container of broccoli with 3 slices of beef and no brown sauce at all. We also ordered sweet and sour chicken again, this time chicken but did not get the sweet & sour sauce. Forget about the fried dumplings...pan friend on one side only. I think they need to suck it up and close their doors once & for all. This was so not money well spent. China City or Dragon House from now on! SMH read more
