King Chef on Treeland Drive in Ladson is a great place to go for delicious Chinese food that is fresh and well prepared. I really like the location and how easy it is to get in and out with exactly what you need. The staff here is very friendly and I have been happy with all of the orders that I have made from here

I guess they just send the breading out and forget the chicken.

I've tried a few different dishes from here. The sweet and sour chicken was kinda like rubber. Basically my kids wouldn't eat it. I have had the general tsaos chicken at lunch and dinner and I can not recommend it. I've had the sesame chicken at lunch and dinner. At lunch its on point, but dinner time isn't so good. When this restaurant is on point the food is good, but they seem to have more off days than they do good days. When people recommend Chinese food on our community page all people talk about is how this place used to be good but is not now. Hope you get it together because you are the only Chinese place around that delivers

My family has ordered food from here for awhile yet when I received over cooked sweet and sour pork, the lady told me that is how it came. My fork would not go through, that's how tough the food was.

Mongolian chicken- not displayed on the menu but if you ask for it, you won't regret it. LOTS OF ONIONS!

Good Chinese on a budget. Ignore the one star review. Typical menu and slightly above average quality.

We came here for lunch on a Sunday afternoon and had a wonderful experience. We're new to the area, and our server was very helpful in giving us information about Summerville and its surrounding neighborhoods. The food was excellent. Everyone's fish was cooked perfectly; flaky and delicious. It tasted fresh and like how all fish should taste. I loved every bite. I also liked that they served the tartar and cocktail sauces in squeeze bottles. We tried the Flounder Po Boy Sandwich, fried, the Grouper Bites, and a Scallop Po Boy Sandwich, grilled. Everything was so good, although I think getting those scallops blackened would have brought the sandwich up another level. Still, it tasted great. Usually, I'm not a fan of seasoned fries, but these were addictive. A charming little shack of a restaurant! We will surely be returning!

The fish was flaky and delicious, and the chips were spot-on. Portion sizes are generous, ordering was quick and easy, and our food hit the table in about 10 minutes. Prices felt very reasonable for the amount of food we received, and the staff were super friendly and welcoming. We'll definitely be back next time we're craving fish & chips.

The restaurant is roomy and decorated with both English staples and salutes to local first responders. Unlike its originator they cook their fish to order so there may be a slight wait, but it is very much worth it. When I go, I like to order the Tennet's lager which is smooth and crispy and full of flavor. Instead of chips we tried the Manchester Special which are their famous chips with gravy and cheese. The gravy was rich and savory with plenty of ooey gooey cheese. Perfect on a cold winter's day! We tried the Battered Sausage which had a large smokey sausage fried golden brown. It was ok but I wished the sausage was spicier but that's just me. I have never had a Doner Kebob, but I discovered that it is basically a gyro. Now I went with the standard lamb with onions, lettuce, and tomatoes with a feta spread and tzatziki sauce, but you could also order different sauces and toppings. All in all, a pretty decent gyro with lots of meat. Finally, you can't come here and not try the fish. Nicely battered and cooked to a perfect golden brown this filet really hit the spot. We may be losing Park Circle but at least Codfather lives on in the Nexton area!

First off, it's not busy so you can easily walk in without a reservation. Next is that you get to experience more of the fun items on the menu that you don't order when you go to a big dinner. And lastly, I can spend fifty bucks on an amazing meal instead of $300. I'm still going to plan fancy dinners there for wonderful steaks, sides, and wine, but this casual early dinner is an overlooked option. This time around we had the wedge salad which they split on to two plates for us making it easy to share. I loved the whole strip of crispy bacon on top too. We also tried the stuffed mushrooms and the steak nachos. The stuffed mushrooms were fine, but not a favorite item so I may not get them again. The star of the show were the nachos! They didn't skimp on any of the ingredients and had a big scoop of guac and sour cream on the plus there was probably a whole steak cut up and spread throughout. The nachos are a must have. Next time I need to try the burger or the hot dog and report back.

The tartare was excellent! The oysters had a strange taste that I was not a fan of. However, I do want to mention my dirty martini was phenomenal!! For my entree, I ordered the 8oz filet mignon, medium-rare. As soon as the server put the plate in front of me, they whipped out a flashlight, shined it on my plate and asked me to cut into the middle of the steak to ensure it was cooked correctly. This bothered me for multiple reasons: 1.) for a restaurant of this caliber, I would expect the chef to know if my steak is cooked correctly and 2.) I like to cut into my steak at the end not the middle. It was cooked correctly but it was not as juicy/flavorful as I hoped it would be. The sides for our table were the most impressive part of my meal; perfect mashed potatoes and probably one of the best creamed spinaches I've ever had! Oddly enough, it was more crunchy than creamy but somehow it worked and tasted delicious. I've had both better and worse steakhouse experiences but at this price point, I expected just a tad bit better. I would still recommend checking this place out and deciding for yourself ;)

We had a bunch of apps including raw oysters and a smattering 3-4 small plates all were personally I found all to be underwhelming with the exception of one, just disappointing. They made us (Party of 3 with reservations) not want to order main dishes....and we didn't. The dozen raw oysters weren't shucked properly for the $42 price tag. Please make sure you sever the lower abductor Mr Oyster Shucker...I don't need to reschuck your oysters and could have done better with my oyster knife in my kitchen on those raw guys. Only gem for my taste buds was the small plate of short rib gnocchi which unfortunately has nothing to do with any type of seafood. This restaurant has been on my list for a long while and I have heard good things but definitely under-delivered on the food. Charred Octopus which was tender was more of a black eyed pea/bean dish with an octopus garnish, 1 of our anticipated apps was tuna tartare...and was extremely salty, totally over dressed with soy, and how many dishes do you need to garnish with zoodles? Give me a break. Many dishes were entirely too salty and meager with headlining ingredients with the exception of the aforementioned zoodles. If you like zoodles on everything by all means give them a shot. But for me please give the zoodles a rest. They are incredibly annoying to try and eat or fit into a lettuce wrap or on a crispy wonton. The service was very good and is the only thing that saved the meal and made it relatively tolerable. Hate that they had literally 14 people in the entire restaurant but sat everyone on top of one another. It's not a pub it's a restaurant. Thanks for the great service but personally not worth revisiting. I left tremendously disappointed in the food. Sorry just being completely honest here. Wanted to love it but left ...honest review.
