Always a great meal. General Tso and the Rangoons are amazing. Highly recommend checking them out

Big Mistake! Don't go here.......Waste of Money! Place smelled like sewage...should have been my 1st clue! Glass door window was all dirty, smeared and disgusting. Very unfriendly lady at the counter, didn't act like she cared if you were there or not! Not sure if she understands English. Food is way overpriced and pretty tasteless! Asked for extra green onion, with beef fried rice, beef was all hooked together and no green onion at all, had a bunch of large white onions in there. Spring rolls had no taste. Crab Rangoon okay but again way overpriced! I suggest Happy Wok on Vogel or Great Peking on Jeffco. read more

I'm very disappointed. This China Wok in Imperial has went downhill for sure I don't know if new people has taken it over or what. The food has absolutely no flavor like it tastes like it had been watered down gristle in most of the meat crab rangoon was undercooked doughy and greasy. Online it said my total including delivery fee and service fee was one amount and then when I got the food it said much more. Shame on these people , no one seems to care about good service anymore or good food . I definitely won't be eating there again lesson learned . read more

If you like gooey and snotty food, this is the place for you. They love using way too much thickener in their sauces. Lady at the counter was very rude and didn't seem like she wanted anyone to be there. read more

Just don't. Go spend your money somewhere else, hell, just pay someone to punch you in the stomach and you will have spent good money. This place has got more chances from me than they deserve. I had the pork lo mein last night and decided that was it, no flavor, just nasty. Couldn't finish it, and what I was able to eat, well.... Now I am paying for it. Save your time and try somewhere else, the food is bland, and the establismneht itself just poor condition, should have known better read more

I wanted to make this Christmas Day even more laid back and after watching Bad Mom's Christmas I decided to order Chinese this holiday. This isn't where we usually order from but it was recommended and open so we tried it out and we are converted. I like variety so we ordered a variety. Sweet and sour chicken, beef and broccoli, sesame chicken, house fried rice, beef lo mein, egg rolls, crab rangoon...it was all so good!! My biggest complaint is usually the almost raw vegetables- and these were all cooked perfectly. Each dish was full of flavor, the best of its kind and not greasy. I was so pleased with my Christmas dinner decision...we may have started a new tradition. read more

See all

The food took over an hour to deliver and it was all wrong. Gave me Mongolian beef instead of chicken. Completely missed the crab Rangoon and was charged for it AND was told they would NOT drive back out (?) I'm good for next time. Lousy food and lousy service ! read more

So good. Was recommended this place by a lot of my customers. Ordered delivery and it was fast and super good!

We have been ordering here for 5 years. They are friendly, VERY quick to deliver - we've never waited more than 40 minutes and it's usually only 20 - and the food is tasty and plentiful. The prices are great and we always order a lot for their variety of dishes that are always cooked perfectly. read more

Crab Rangoons are to die for! Their food and quality is very consistent and always a good amount for the money!

Great food and super friendly! Highly recommend! Food was ready super fast and it was big portions

We have been ordering food from this location in Imperial for several years. They are always courteous regardless of how super busy they always are. We have never had a problem with our multiple orders.. the Hunan chicken with black bean sauce and Happy family is always perfect. The rice is spot on. The pot stickers and crab rangoon are perfect. The soups are good. too. The restaurant itself isn't much to look at but the food as I said is always good. I hope they stay around for a long time. read more

Small mom and pop business with excellent food. Never called in an order that took more than 15 minutes to be ready. I am a regular customer. read more

Food is good but every time I order and the lady that might possible owns place always messes up my order. I am tried of that. Probably look for a new place because of this. Again food isn't bad at all though. read more

We found a metal shaving in our chicken fried rice my mom chewed it and almost swallowed it, lucky I didn't get it since I'm PREGNANT! When I called to tell them NO ONE ANSWERS, NOT OKAY CHINA WOK. read more

Hole-in-the-wall type of place that has stood the test of time while most other businesses in that plaza have changed hands or gone out of business. While the prices these days make me want to lean closer to a 4-star review, the food quality is amazing and outside of a few order mishaps that were mostly minor, I have never had any true issues with this place. I have never had better fried rice or crab rangoon than I have had here. My go-to is Lobster fried rice (which they also throw crabmeat into). Their eggrolls are top tier. The Szechuan Triple Crown is excellent. Their sweet and sour chicken is on par with anywhere else (and better than Happy Wok's). The teriyaki chicken is also very good. The wait times for pickup are almost always very fast as well and they also offer delivery. read more

Courteous staff, homemade crab rangoon, and they substituted the chicken with tofu in the General Tso's dish for me. And everything was SUPER tasty! read more

Worse Chinese food I have ever eaten. My date agreed. She couldn't even get a second bite down. The egg rolls were even bad. How do you ruin an egg roll? read more

Most Chinese takeout places are carbon copies of each other and there is little that separates them. I have eaten Chinese takeout in St. Louis from places in north county, west county, south county, south city, and even downtown St. Louis. None of them can touch this little place in Imperial. Hands down, they make the best pork friend rice I have ever had. Cooking rice properly is an art form and they have it down. In the six years I have been ordering food from this place, the crab rangoon has always been moist without a grainy texture and it is a welcome flavor blast in the mouth. Personally, I am a General Tsao fan and they do a very good job using chicken that is not overly breaded and just the right amount of sauce that doesn't turn it into mush. My wife loves the sesame chicken there for one special reason: they offer a white meat serving of besides the dark meat. Not too many places will accommodate a request for white meat. There is indoor seating but it primarily is a takeout place. They usually have orders ready within 10-15 minutes of calling. I do recommend calling ahead because they are almost always busy, especially on the weekend. read more

Tonight we had a wonderful dinner from China Wok. The beef with vegetables and chicken fried rice kept me going back for more. Everything was cooked to perfection. We will definitely go back again. read more

Pretty good for take out Chinese. We get food here often not only because it's close but their lo mein is good. It's never too salty and they don't skimp on the good stuff. We are also a fan of their General Tao chicken although I wish it was spicier. The shrimp and scallops in garlic sauce is great too. My husband always gets the spare ribs appetizer. Definitely call ahead. It usually only takes 10 min but on the weekends it can take up to 30 min. The people that own/work there aren't super friendly but they are always busy taking calls and getting orders out as fast as they can. They only take MasterCard and Visa which I didn't know the first time I went and still took my Discover. That was probably the nicest gesture I received. As long as the food is good and they get my order right that's as much as I expect out if a carry out. read more

food was so over cooked that not even a knife could cut it and the taste was really bad. I will never eat here again

Worst place ever! First they took an hour and half to get our food then they over charged my card by $14 (they did bring me the difference in cash) high prices definitely won't be back read more

Good food for the value. Wish they wouldn't have forgot to pack my order of Crab Rangoon.

The food is good. Only Chinese food delivery in town. Usually takes 45 minutes to get the food. I live 10 minutes from the restaurant. The part that bugs that heck out of me is the incredibly rude delivery man. And he is an older man that should know better. He's been delivering here for years and has never been polite, said thank you, or been gracious. And we are always polite to him. Just a rude person. read more

New to the area - I am happy to say that his is our new Go-To Chinese restaurant. Best crab Rangoon I've ever had, and the shrimp lo mein is delish. Great food, service, and price. We will be back. read more

They have great combo plates and lunch specials everything is delicious and they have fast service.

We love this place! Best Crab Rangoon!! Everything we order is great!!! Chicken Sticks, Noodles, wonton soup!

I'm giving 1 star solely on the service aspect. The food was pretty decent, and I'm picky about my Chinese food. I ordered bourbon chicken, white rice, fried wontons, shrimp lo mein. All were pretty good. When I called, the lady was very short and snippy. At the end of the convo, she stated it will be there in 45 minutes and hung up, and didn't give the the option to pay by credit or to pay by cash, or even say goodbye. This is what really takes the cake: when the delivery man got to the door, he rang the door bell. My dog started to bark, and with any delivery person, I put her in another room. It probably took me less than 2 minutes to do. I guess I was taking too long so the delivery man kept ringing the door bell, which made my dog more anxious. While walking back to my door, I'm yelling "I'm coming, I'm coming!" So he would stop. He didn't. I opened the door and he stared blankly at me with his hand out. I asked how much I owed him, and he turned the bag around like I annoyed him. $3 service fee for less than a mile. Total was $21.56. I only had $24. I apologized and said no one told me a total. His reaction made me feel very uneasy. I will not order from here again. read more

Food was ok, restaurant was hot and dirty. The worker was worst I have seen in a long time. Don't waste your money

The Food Is good but the service is HORRIBLE! Waited almost 2 hours and 6 phone calls only to get hung up on when I asked for a refund. I would not recommend this to my worst enemy. Maybe if they hired people that would be a more courteous and friendly it would be a plus but sucky service will decide wether I go back or not. read more

When you order 2 egg rolls and special fried rice. I stopped the delivery driver before he left my driveway and let him know they gave me the wrong food. He said he would be back and never returned. I called the store as I was rudely told they gave me what I ordered which was incorrect and refused to fix it. I've been ordering from here for over 10 years. Horrible service. read more

This has been my family's go to Chinese food place for years. Besides the ONE time the delivery guy THREW our bag of food at us through the car window (he called very mad after trying to deliver to our house and made us meet him at a gas station to pick the food up from him), everything has always been excellent. The food is always hot and tasty, the staff are short and to the point but that's ok in my book with this type of pick up n go place. I feel like the price is comparable if not cheaper than their competition. They also have a very big menu, which can fill any craving. Definitely the best egg rolls around town and their crab Rangoon is A1! We will continue to fill our MSG taste buds with this joint! read more

Love this place! I have been going here for years, the staff is so friendly, they even remember my order when I come in to eat. The food is fantastic, my entire family loves it. They accommodate vegetarians with several different choices. The food is always fresh and cooked while you wait, its very flavorful and not greasy like many take-out Chinese places. The price is very reasonable for the hearty serving sizes! Must try, you will love it! read more

My wife's favorite bourbon chicken is here. And sure the place is shabby but it's not bad food. My advice don't eat in take it home.

Do not buy food from this restaurant. We just picked up our food and had extremely rude staff who threw our credit card across the counter as well as the place having dirty counters and floors with nasty food on the floors. There are way too many good Chinese places to go to this dump. read more
