I'm very disappointed. This China Wok in Imperial has went downhill for sure I don't know if new people has taken it over or what. The food has absolutely no flavor like it tastes like it had been watered down gristle in most of the meat crab rangoon was undercooked doughy and greasy. Online it said my total including delivery fee and service fee was one amount and then when I got the food it said much more. Shame on these people , no one seems to care about good service anymore or good food . I definitely won't be eating there again lesson learned . ​ read more

Big Mistake! Don't go here.......Waste of Money! Place smelled like sewage...should have been my 1st clue! Glass door window was all dirty, smeared and disgusting. Very unfriendly lady at the counter, didn't act like she cared if you were there or not! Not sure if she understands English. Food is way overpriced and pretty tasteless! Asked for extra green onion, with beef fried rice, beef was all hooked together and no green onion at all, had a bunch of large white onions in there. Spring rolls had no taste. I wanted to make this Christmas Day even more laid back and after watching Bad Mom's Christmas I decided to order Chinese this holiday. This isn't where we usually order from but it was recommended and open so we tried it out and we are converted. I like variety so we ordered a variety. Sweet and sour chicken, beef and broccoli, sesame chicken, house fried rice, beef lo mein, egg rolls, crab rangoon...it was all so good!! My biggest complaint is usually the almost raw vegetables- and these were all cooked perfectly. Each dish was full of flavor, the best of its kind and not greasy. I was so pleased with my Christmas dinner decision...we may have started a new tradition. read more

Hole-in-the-wall type of place that has stood the test of time while most other businesses in that plaza have changed hands or gone out of business. While the prices these days make me want to lean closer to a 4-star review, the food quality is amazing and outside of a few order mishaps that were mostly minor, I have never had any true issues with this place. I have never had better fried rice or crab rangoon than I have had here. My go-to is Lobster fried rice (which they also throw crabmeat into). Their eggrolls are top tier. The Szechuan Triple Crown is excellent. Their sweet and sour chicken is on par with anywhere else (and better than Happy Wok's). The teriyaki chicken is also very good. The wait times for pickup are almost always very fast as well and they also offer delivery. read more

We have been ordering food from this location in Imperial for several years. They are always courteous regardless of how super busy they always are. We have never had a problem with our multiple orders.. the Hunan chicken with black bean sauce and Happy family is always perfect. The rice is spot on. The pot stickers and crab rangoon are perfect. The soups are good. too. The restaurant itself isn't much to look at but the food as I said is always good. I hope they stay around for a long time. read more

Most Chinese takeout places are carbon copies of each other and there is little that separates them. I have eaten Chinese takeout in St. Louis from places in north county, west county, south county, south city, and even downtown St. Louis. None of them can touch this little place in Imperial. Hands down, they make the best pork friend rice I have ever had. Cooking rice properly is an art form and they have it down. In the six years I have been ordering food from this place, the crab rangoon has always been moist without a grainy texture and it is a welcome flavor blast in the mouth. Personally, I am a General Tsao fan and they do a very good job using chicken that is not overly breaded and just the right amount of sauce that doesn't turn it into mush. My wife loves the sesame chicken there for one special reason: they offer a white meat serving of besides the dark meat. Not too many places will accommodate a request for white meat. There is indoor seating but it primarily is a takeout place. They usually have orders ready within 10-15 minutes of calling. I do recommend calling ahead because they are almost always busy, especially on the weekend. read more

Pretty good for take out Chinese. We get food here often not only because it's close but their lo mein is good. It's never too salty and they don't skimp on the good stuff. We are also a fan of their General Tao chicken although I wish it was spicier. The shrimp and scallops in garlic sauce is great too. My husband always gets the spare ribs appetizer. Definitely call ahead. It usually only takes 10 min but on the weekends it can take up to 30 min. The people that own/work there aren't super friendly but they are always busy taking calls and getting orders out as fast as they can. They only take MasterCard and Visa which I didn't know the first time I went and still took my Discover. That was probably the nicest gesture I received. As long as the food is good and they get my order right that's as much as I expect out if a carry out. read more

The food is good. Only Chinese food delivery in town. Usually takes 45 minutes to get the food. I live 10 minutes from the restaurant. The part that bugs that heck out of me is the incredibly rude delivery man. And he is an older man that should know better. He's been delivering here for years and has never been polite, said thank you, or been gracious. And we are always polite to him. Just a rude person. read more

I'm giving 1 star solely on the service aspect. The food was pretty decent, and I'm picky about my Chinese food. I ordered bourbon chicken, white rice, fried wontons, shrimp lo mein. All were pretty good. When I called, the lady was very short and snippy. At the end of the convo, she stated it will be there in 45 minutes and hung up, and didn't give the the option to pay by credit or to pay by cash, or even say goodbye. This is what really takes the cake: when the delivery man got to the door, he rang the door bell. My dog started to bark, and with any delivery person, I put her in another room. It probably took me less than 2 minutes to do. I guess I was taking too long so the delivery man kept ringing the door bell, which made my dog more anxious. While walking back to my door, I'm yelling "I'm coming, I'm coming!" So he would stop. He didn't. I opened the door and he stared blankly at me with his hand out. I asked how much I owed him, and he turned the bag around like I annoyed him. $3 service fee for less than a mile. Total was $21.56. I only had $24. I apologized and said no one told me a total. His reaction made me feel very uneasy. I will not order from here again. read more

When you order 2 egg rolls and special fried rice. I stopped the delivery driver before he left my driveway and let him know they gave me the wrong food. He said he would be back and never returned. This has been my family's go to Chinese food place for years. Besides the ONE time the delivery guy THREW our bag of food at us through the car window (he called very mad after trying to deliver to our house and made us meet him at a gas station to pick the food up from him), everything has always been excellent. The food is always hot and tasty, the staff are short and to the point but that's ok in my book with this type of pick up n go place. I feel like the price is comparable if not cheaper than their competition. They also have a very big menu, which can fill any craving.
