UPDATED 12/25 BEWARE…read moreof your credit card! My meal item was $14.95 and it is what I was charged on my original receipt upon checkout (w an email to confirm). After delivery they sent me an updated receipt and CHANGED meal price from $14.95 to $17.95 without my consent. I had already paid for the meal and confirmed the total - and THEN they changed the price and charged my card an additional amount. I was also missing the egg roll with my meal. Second time we have tried this place and BOTH times have been ripped off . ------ Ordered $50 in take-out and it was the most basic Chinese food we've ever had. First off - for an establishment that specializes in "take out" - they need to put some money into appropriate take-out containers. We ordered the Family Complete dinner which came w/ soup, ribs, egg rolls and two entrees. The ribs, eggs rolls and chicken for the War Sui Gai meal were in BAGS. Not containers to keep them crispy - but in white bags that were soaked thru with grease. Egg rolls were super soggy as was the chicken "tenders" as part of the War Sui Gai. So many better Chinese restaurants around - don't waste your time on this one.

Although the prices have nearly doubled over the past couple years, the food has quality has gone down. A recent order for curried tofu was very disappointing. Instead of the many slabs of curried tofu with smaller amounts of zucchini, carrots and onions, this recent order had huge amounts of onions and less tofu. Instead of having broccoli or any Asian vegetables, it had cheap American onion. The price is now $10. That's too much for an order of mostly onions.

The service is nice, not extremely friendly but not bad.

Walked in to pick up my order and was appalled at the conditions of the inside. I actually looked for a health code rating on the wall bc there was no way this passed an inspection. Boxes stacked all over the waiting area, dirty windows, floor looked like it hasn't been cleaned in months and the two men working were bundled in hats and winter coats bc there was no heat. My egg roll was decent, but the wonton soup was terrible. The broth was like yellow water - no flavor at all. I was weary eating the wonton meat after seeing the inside of this place. I would never order from here again based on what I saw inside.

A very kind man recommended this place to us, so we had to try it during our trip. My first…read moreimpression of the place was that it's so cheap. $13 a person for the all you can eat lunch special is unheard of in Utah. As we were walking to our seats, the host instructed an employee to clean up a mess and threw a paper towel on the floor. I'm not really sure what that was about but it made me feel like we were in the navy. At least I know they keep it clean. As for the food, everything I tried was very solid! The honey chicken was the highlight for sure, but the mushrooms were amazing as well. I wanted really badly to enjoy the hibachi section, but I found that our meat lacked seasoning. A super easy fix, just allow the customers to season their own servings before throwing it on the grill. Other than that, I really can't complain. Oh and the tubs of ice cream you can scoop for yourself were great. If I was a local, I'd be coming here pretty often.

I seldom go to buffets, but every so often I do get the urge, and as Asian buffets in the area go,…read moreFuji Buffet in Mentor is one of the better ones. Located in a shopping plaza on Mentor Blvd. you will find a clean, well organized and well stocked buffet. The decor is modern and fairly generic, seating is comfortable and the restaurant is large with several seating areas. As with most buffets you pay as you enter, prices are somewhat reasonable given the way inflation has gone. Once seated you have your choice of the serving stations. Up first is the salad area which is well stocked and includes fresh fruit, boiled shrimp, mussels and artificial crab salad. The salad station also has plenty of dressing and sauces. There is also a soup station with 3 or 4 soups, unfortunately they do not have shrimp chips which I always think is a bonus. There are several buffet stations of hot foods, mainly Chinese with a small selection of American standards. For me I usually get some rice noodles, lo mein or fried rice and then stock up on the shrimp, clams, mussels and the baked artificial crab. Overall the food is fresh and they do a good job of keeping things stocked. Where Fuji comes up a little short for me is that the flavors are a bit muted; the food is under seasoned for me. I usually to use quite a bit of the spicy oil from the salad bar to add some flavor. The sushi station is ok, they make the sushi fresh, but it is only maki rolls and the selection is about 5 or 6 varieties at lunch. Most of the sushi is made with either the crab sticks or shrimp, no fresh fish. Next to the sushi station is the grill station where you pick the raw ingredients and then have the chef cook them. Obviously this food is cooked fresh, although once again I find the sauces to be a bit under seasoned. Once you are ready for dessert there is a pastry section and a scoop your own ice cream. All of this is sweet and pretty good, but nothing really great. Overall Fuji Buffet provides decent food, there is a good variety and you should be able to fill up as much as you want. For me the flavors could be better, not bad just a bit muted. Of course your mileage may vary.

Tried out this buffet for the first time and of course it was almost impossible to not compare it…read moreto Fuji Buffet in Mentor. This place is smaller with less choices but their price is also less- about 4 bucks less than Fuji. So the question is... Is the cheaper price worth coming back? I say No. Why? Because of the quality. Fuji has higher quality food. The food is hotter and it just tastes better. The food at New China buffet was oily. The eggrolls, and even the broccoli had a coating of oil on them, which was very un-appetizing. And several of the dishes were lukewarm instead of being hot. That was yucky. The restaurant is definitely older and out of style, but if the food is great, I would not care. It all comes down to the food!! They do have sushi and it was good. But it wasn't any better than the sushi at Fuji. So we probably got our moneys worth, but if I really want to go to a China buffet again, I'm pretty sure I'll end up back at Fuji Buffet. So if you're in the area and want a decent buffet, I guess you could go here but if it were me, I would drive to Mentor

This is the second time she has ordered it and needless to say she was not disappointed. The shrimp was done to perfection. Her only negative of this dish is the white rice. Huge amount of rice that one cannot eat in one sitting. I tried the green pepper steak with white rice for the first time. The steak and peppers was very flavorful and tender. The peppers had a little bit of crunch to them, which I like. Again the white white rice is a huge amount and sort of bland, so I jazz the rice up a bit to add some flavor. I loved the dish and will have it again. The order was on time and maintained the heat for quite some time. I have included pictures of what was left after eating our meal. As you can see there is enough leftover for one, maybe two more meals.
