No longer the Jade tree, but similar food, more for take out. They do have table and service inside though, not as nice as used to be.

The War Sue Gai is fabulous. Highly recommend!! We have had many dishes and they are all good but this is my favorite.

My wife and I ordered takeouts again last night. My wife had the honey walnut shrimp, she loves this dish. This is the second time she has ordered it and needless to say she was not disappointed. The shrimp was done to perfection. Her only negative of this dish is the white rice. Huge amount of rice that one cannot eat in one sitting. I tried the green pepper steak with white rice for the first time. The steak and peppers was very flavorful and tender. The peppers had a little bit of crunch to them, which I like. Again the white white rice is a huge amount and sort of bland, so I jazz the rice up a bit to add some flavor. I loved the dish and will have it again. The order was on time and maintained the heat for quite some time. I have included pictures of what was left after eating our meal. As you can see there is enough leftover for one, maybe two more meals. read more

Very clean restaurant. I've been here once before and I think they serve good Sesame Chicken and General Tso, if it weren't so sweet. These dishes are very much the same thing, chicken battered crisp and kept juicy. No veggies come with these dishes. Perhaps only a garnishment in the general tso, but making the meal a combo is a great idea if you want to have one of the better eggrolls in the area. (You came for the guilty pleasure so let's not put on airs..) Today, Best had their popular Walnut chicken and I took a chance on their combo lo mein. He described the Walnut chicken as, "It tastes like candy." So if you like candy, raise your hand! :D My shrimp and beef lo mein was alright. I don't think this is the best deal on the menu at $13 with beef that was a tad chewy in texture and noodles that would be improved with more stir-fried veggies for contrast/bit of brightness. Chicken dishes seem to be the safer bet for texture around here. Fried rice that came with Best's combo left much to be desired, as I found it dry and plain. I might consider requesting steamed rice next time if I were to order a combo for myself. Keep in mind that they serve authentic Chinese-American fare and not Traditional Chinese cuisine (Cantonese, Sichuan, Hunan..etc.) The menu items are the familiar dishes found in ubiquitous Chinese takeouts, but I commend them for offering a very well kept dining area and curt but pleasant service. Recommended for a cheat day, when it feels good to be a little naughty and not have all your vegetables. We will definitely come back. Do choose a chicken dish over beef if you want to share your plate with me. Skip the wonton soup... read more

I don't usually leave reviews. My experience Was horrible . The photo Provided depicts depicts a wire/metal that was coughed out after ingesting their food. Thank goodness there was little to no damage done to the inner lining of my throat so following through with small claims would be a waste of time. I raise this issue to their attention only to be Continuously hung up on and treated like they were the victim and I was the aggressor they followed with placing a report on me in attempts to Discouraging me from pursuing any further . Food was horrible. Couldn't even eat it. Owner later credited meal. Nothing looked traditional. Sweet n sour soup looked like noodles in beef gravy. Fried rice was very dark brown and tasteless. Lo mein noodles we're spaghetti. Service was ok. Ambiance was 1960ish. There are too many other quality places to dine in the area. Go to one of those. Hope they get it together. Great location right by the mall. Busy road, easy access. Just really, really disappointing experience. read more

Typical Chinese food, very good, clean place will definitely do it again. My spot closed so I gave them a shot. Very happy, will go back again read more

Not good Not good at all Waste of money Could barely eat food Orange chicken is hard to mess up You'd think read more

Pros: Vegetables were fresh and crisp. General Tso's chicken was loaded with chicken. Fair amount of beef in another dish. Ample serving of rice. Medium: Crab rangoon was crispy, even though this was a delivery. But there wasn't much filling and it was dry. Cons: Not many veggies in General Tso's, and the "Spicy Szechuan Beef" didn't have any spiciness -- and not much flavor. Would agree with another reviewer that dishes are a bit too sweet. read more

Owner is very rude. I just went there last night and there was 4 tables being eaten at, and me and my mother came in and she said "no more dine in" but we had just called and asked how long a wait would be if we came in and she said "no wait, just come in" so we wasted all our time driving there just for her to be like "no dine in" and shake her head till we left. Not to mention it was kind of embarrassing to the people that were already there eating...Terrible service, don't go here. Disappointing experience, didn't even get to try the food read more

This place has been around for years and they have fairly decent food. Place is always clean. I've noticed recently though that a lot of their food has been having increased "filler" in it... extra veggies... lighter on meat, etc...I mean when I order cashew chicken, I want lots of cashews and lots of chicken.... not a big pile of filler carrots, pea pods and water chestnuts. Also, the only other complaint would be that they put green peppers in things that they don't belong in as filler.... Shrimp w/ lobster sauce, lo mein, chow mein, etc... read more

Fun apt some good Chinese food. The menu has a small selection, but the food is tasty and fresh. They had little selection of vegetarian dishes, but were nice enough to make a dish vegetarian for my partner. Great food, can't wait to go again! read more

Ordered chow mein with veggies with tofu.....I ordered with the crunchy noodles...I got home looked at what they gave me which I should have checked before leaving...half of the container was filled with white rice which I didn't order..the tofu was cut in BIG pieces of steamed tofu which had no flavor...I didn't get sauces thinking this would be full of flavor.....the tofu was really the largest amount of anything in this chow mein...totally disappointed I will never go back... read more

This spot allows for take out via phone or online. We got the chicken friend rice, crab rangoon, general Tao, and green pepper steak. It was all really yummy, I especially liked tur crab rangoon. I like this place because there are so many options. Definitely recommend! read more

I've been here several times, and I say this place is solid. They have tasty food, it's reasonably priced, and the service is quick and right on the money every time. I highly recommend it if you want some good Chinese food. read more

Solid place for Chinese food. Prompt service, very nicely decorated and clean interior. Would recommend coming here to sit down for a meal. The lunch menu was somewhat limited with about 15 different entree choices. No formal appetizers or sides were offered for lunch. On the menu there were no real vegetarian options; however, they are able to make dishes without meat. I ended up ordering the Moo Goo Gai Pan without chicken. The meal tasted great and was served nice and hot. It could have been a bit spicier for my liking, but overall was quite satisfying. This place is relatively inexpensive with quick service and good food. I'm not convinced its the greatest Chinese restaurant in the area, but it is a good one. read more

We got takeout. The food was bland, almost tasteless. The styrofoam containers leaked.

The food was average at absolute best. At the most I would give this 2.5 stars. The woman, who I'm assuming is an owner made the experience very uncomfortable and awkward. I ordered at the counter and she was yelling at the young girl who was taking my order. I felt like if I wasn't there she'd have slapped this girl. It was really weird and I promise I'll never return. read more

Delicious. We got the Spicy Black Pepper steak and Kung Pao Chicken with Fried rice and eggroll. Everything was hot, fresh and flavorful. I thought it was much better than Imperial Palace. Not a huge menu, but it has all the favorites. Service was great as well! Will definitely be back! read more

Like this friendly restaurant a lot. Recently, of course, it has been all takeout, but it's still great. We like the honey walnut chicken, pork lo mein, cashew chicken and my son is a big fan of the Jade Tree feast. Always carefully prepared food and a squeaky clean restaurant. read more

This is one of the best chinese food places i've had in a long time! the portions are very big and the prices aren't super cheap but they're not expensive at all. a regular plate of food with rice and an egg roll is around $11-$15 which isn't too bad considering the large portion you receive. the egg rolls are delicious and the people are super nice!! read more

Awful. Ordered Hot & Sour soup & got a soup with chicken, vegetables, potatoes. Called to complain & was told that was their take on hot & sour soup. I fully believe they gave me the wrong soup & would have rather lied than admit it was wrong... or they just have no clue how to make hot & sour soup. Also crab Rangoon was over fried & barely had any filling. Will never go to this place again. read more

My family has been going to Jade Tree since I was born. The service has always been wonderful, and the food has only gotten better with age.

I stopped here for a Sunday lunch, not really sure what I wanted among the many choices in Mentor, and I'm so glad I did! It's a quiet place with great atmosphere. I started with the hot and sour soup, which was probably the best I have ever had. Rich thick broth with barbecued pork and fresh vegetables. Delicious, and super fast! At the server's recommendation, I had the honey walnut shrimp. It was absolutely wonderful! Battered fried shrimp, tossed in a sweet honey sauce, topped with crispy candied walnuts. I would have added a screenshot, but I attacked it as soon at it got to my table. I recommend this place. A true gem in Mentor. read more

I'm sorry, but I was bitterly disappointed with the Sesame Chicken I took out. The sauce was gummy, only sporadically poured over the chicken, and there was no crispness in any of the batter, the fried rice was hard, dry, and cold. I can see why I was the only one there, and I won't be back!!!& read more

Very nice interior. Nice vases and wood interior. I was disappointed on the menu. There is not a single vegetarian item. Menu is very limited and all in the pictures. Expect to have entree and rice on the same plate. It's like a dinner special option if you want to add on egg roll or soup. The chicken lomein was not my favorite. Noodles are very wet and very saucy. Noodles very broken and not in long strain. Not my favorite. The flavor is okay but not authentic Chinese food for me. Great for a quick Americanize Chinese Food version. read more

went here for lunch on 2-5-20. it has been some years since we ate here and the quality has really gone down hill since. we started with tea which all Chinese restaurants serve with small cups and a pot of tea. not so here, you get a slightly larger cup and no pot, refills not even offered. now the won ton soup, far too salty. now the mu gui pan with fried rice and egg roll, all tasteless!!!!!!!!!!! don't waste you money on this place!!!! read more
