Best in lake county I've found Hidden in a plaza behind Starbucks Good to call ahead order over the phone They have Singapore noodles! read more

Ordered shrimp and mushroom egg foo young. It was pretty good tasting but I don't think they give you enough gravy. Only thing I didn't care for was the taste of the oil after you're done eating. Ordered a vegetable egg roll and was not a fan. Young man that takes orders and gives you the food is a little grouchy and not very friendly. Seems to be common in these Chinese restaurants anymore unfortunately. I may try them one more time in the near future. Place is clean and well taken care of. read more

Good Chinese carry out food. Nothing fancy or exotic just good pot stickers and general tso chicken. read more

I've been going to Hop Hing for years and I find myself continually returning. Great food and service no matter how busy they are! They also have daily specials. read more

Decent little place. I've had more tender beef, but they are very nice and clean. I wish the would velvet their beef like other places so it is more tender. I also wish they would not serve their meals so dry. Very little sauce on each entree. read more

Just ok. Probably will not return. Because of the texture of the dough, I think the dumplings were frozen. Though fried, they also seemed soggy. Sauce was not flavorful. We also tried the egg roll which was good but did not come with sauce. This was take-out, so the sauce packets may have been lurking somewhere in the restaurant. If so, I just didn't see them :( The General Tso was just ok. No spice at all; not a pepper to be seen. The chicken was not crispy and the sauce not flavorful. The pork fried rice was just ok, nothing special. read more

We really love Hop Hing and it has become a go to place when we want to treat ourselves to something special or just looking for a great meal. We love their soups, especially the Won Ton or Chicken Rice and I love all their shrimp options. The combination dinners are a great value. In addition, the staff and owners are wonderful people that care about offering their customers great food and positive service. read more

We got a chicken chow mein combo, there was more rice than chow mein and there was only 1cup of chow mein and it was mostly onions. Very few other veggies like traditional chow mein. Our S&S pork was the size of a quarter and only a dime size piece of meat inside and it was horribly greasy. The pork egg foo young, was as thin as a pancake and it was FULL of all vegetables, again an over bearing amount of onion. The few pieces of pork that were in there, were tough and tasted old. The egg roll was full of grease and was inedible. The only good thing about our dinner was the spare ribs, they were delicious, what parts were not fatty. Spending $42 for dinner and having it taste like grease was a huge disappointment. They've really really gone down hill, from the first time we tried them a few years ago. Sorry to say, we won't be going back. It's a shame how they take advantage of their loyal customers. I hope they raise their stands and stop ripping people off. read more

We often get take out from Hop Hung and we always enjoy it. They are friendly and efficient

This is the first restaurant I came across that did not have a menu to order from on Yelp. How do they expect people to order takeout if there is no menu to choose from? Are we to guess what they have available? Not real inviting if you ask me. read more

Always good choice for a week night. Close to home and quick. People always nice when placing my order. The Phoenix and Dragon is a great dish. read more

We got take out and the food was remarkably bland. I've eaten here before and had a very positive experience but this one disappointed.

Best in the area making it a bit crazy during peak times. If you want good Chinese in this area other choices do not compare.

Food is ready really fast - the food is good - the menu is pretty much the same as other Chinese restaurants of this kind. The food is pretty consistent and we have eaten here several times. So I guess it is nothing special but a good place to fill that egg roll need that we all get sometimes. read more

The very best Chinese restaurant, food, fast service and the nicest people in at least 50 miles!

My family and I came to Hop Hing a little after they opened on Saturday. We ordered about $30 worth of food and it wasn't good. The lo mein smelled old and tasted that way too. The fried dumplings weren't fried at all and the pork inside tasted funny. The woman who took our order was rude and short with us when we had questions about the food choices. Overall, I won't be back. read more

Food is great, but so much inconsistency with phone orders. Sometimes there's no answer, other times it rings and rings ... or when they answer they ask you to pay cash bc system not working. Has happened multiple times w to-go orders. They need to fix the phone issue. read more

First-time visit! Food is typical American Chinese fare, served piping hot on 9" styrofoam plates. Diner tables, no tablecloths, very limited seating, mostly a take-out place. Most items marked spicy can be made with little or no spice, if desired. Lots of cold canned soda pop flavors, Coke, Sprite, Cherry Coke, Dr. Pepper, iced tea, etc., but bottled water (only $1) is unrefrigerated. Hot tea is not served to everyone automatically, but you can order it. We were uncomfortably cold inside the restaurant tonight. read more

Yum-mee. Quick and efficient , good portions and absolutely tasty food will definitely go back again read more

Wow. I've been to mentor to eat for the last 20 plus years and have never been to Hop Hing Chinese Restaurant! It just always looked like all the others and I generally eat healthier food now. It was 9:15pm on a Wednesday and I was hungry for dinner. I called and ordered steamed shrimp and vegetables with sauce on side. I couldn't believe how much I got for less than $10! The portions were great and shrimp and veggies were fresh , crunchy and delicious! Lots of green veggies which I love! I had three small plate portions and was stuffed and still had another serving left for the next day. Having sauce on side was great cause I could just drizzle a bit over my portion! Ordering and picking up 20 minutes before close I wasn't sure and they did amazing! Great COVID procedures with hand sanitizer, too for pickup! I will definitely be back to eat here again!$10 minimum on credit card purchases! read more

I drive 15 miles to get hop hing. It's the only Chinese food I'll get in the area. Love it!

Probably the best Chinese food we've had in a long time. We'll definitely be coming back.

Really tasty food, first time being here and we were super happy with our order. We will definitely come back again!

ordered the general tso chicken. you get exactly what you're looking for and at a good price. great food.

Really good food and a great selection. I would say the food selection stands out among other fast/ convenient Chinese food restaurants. The real Advantage here is the friendliness and personality ( which are not the same by the way) of the staff. They're professional and attentive while being funny and personable. Depending on the level of the restaurant in the atmosphere this may or may not be desirable. And this case it's a very pleasant and welcomed surprise. To the point of the food it's above-average, very good actually! The selection is very good and the food quality is exceptional as compared to other similar restaurants. read more

Always consistent and tasty! Great deal for the money! And they give you a discount if you pay cash!

This is one of my favorite Chinese places. I believe it's family-owned and it's authentic. The quality of food is amazing and the preparation is quick. read more

Great food and reasonable prices, Can't tell you how glad I am I found this place. Moved here from FL where you can't get good Chinese food. Will be getting food from here probably weekly. read more

It's always been my favorite but my sister just moved here from Virginia and I think she's ordered from here at least three times this week. She says it the best Chinese food she's had in years. read more

My wife used to get lunch from this place all the time. She used to work nearby so it was convenient. We live about 20 minutes away so cannot go here all the time, unfortunately. Tonight we decided to go and boy are we glad we did. It is just as yummy as my wife remembered. I am not a frequent patron but the food I ordered was very tasty. My 5 year old also enjoyed the shrimp lo mein. Thank you! read more

Best Chinese Ever!!! The Zheng Family makes wonderful food! I would recommend to anyone in the mentor area!

I go there every time I go to the ups store. I love the won ton soup, pork egg rolls, mushu pork, pork lomein, boneless spare ribs. Not perfect but very good and fast. I always order and wait in store. read more

It was ok. Wonton soup was good. Ordered the ribs as an appetizer. just so so. Felt like the sauce was just poured on after cooking. Fried rice was not so good. It was very yellow in color and barely any pork. Couldn't even see any egg. Only small pieces of onion. Very little of flavor. main dish was supposed to be Szechuan in flavor . But it wasn't. Probably won't stop again. I had I hopes too. read more

I called ahead and asked if they had a noodle that was called something like "fan" The girl answered no. So I ordered my normal shrimp lo mein and egg rolls. When I picked up I saw the daily special on the wall as chicken mei fun. I asked the girl why didn't you offer fun when I asked. She said you asked about fan not fun that'll be 26.50. Then proceeds to speak to other workers in her native language and dismissed me. Once I got home and tasted the egg rolls and fried noodles that came with the shrimp lo mein I tasted the same flavor old grease I have been a customer of this restaurant for 5 years. I will not go back. read more

I was very disappointed with the quality of the food. For the money paid ,you would think you' d get better quality.I spent 15 minutes hugging the toilet-and I don't ever get sick after eating Chinese food!! That was from pork egg foo young. The sweet and sour pork came without any sauce. The shrimp chow mein came with minimal amount of noodles.I expected a lot better .Won't be going back any time soon. read more

Don't be fooled by the strip mall area that this place is in. I wasn't too sure about going in when I first saw it but I'm glad I did. My wife and I ordered General Tso's chicken, some fried potstickers, and a couple of eggrolls to share. The eggrolls were nice and crunchy on the outside and full of flavor on the inside. The potstickers were full of meat and delicious. The General Tso's was exactly the way we like it. A little more sweet than spicy and lots of sauce with large chunks of chicken. This place will definitely get our repeat business. read more

Best in Mentor!! We absolutely love this place and eat here regularly! The sweet and sour chicken is fantastic! We also love the soup!

This is my favorite Chinese restaurant in Mentor. Consistent and delicious! Never have had a bade experience.

This is our take out Chinese spot. Not the quality of Imperial Dragon but less expensive and still consistently very good. They have no problem with vegetarian options. Don't be afraid if a ten year old picks up the phone, that young man has never messed my order up once. read more
