I was impressed with how clean it was and the amazing variety of food they had. Ordering was easy, seniors eat for 9.99 M-F. I believe non seniors were $12. I looked online for latest prices and took a pic since there's older prices online. They have something for everyone and not just Chinese/Japanese food including a sushi bar and hibachi. Soups, salad, pizza, wings, desserts and ice cream. So many things, probably the most variety I've ever seen. Staff were friendly and picked up your empty plates as you finished. I seldom go to buffets, but every so often I do get the urge, and as Asian buffets in the area go, Fuji Buffet in Mentor is one of the better ones. Located in a shopping plaza on Mentor Blvd. you will find a clean, well organized and well stocked buffet. The decor is modern and fairly generic, seating is comfortable and the restaurant is large with several seating areas. As with most buffets you pay as you enter, prices are somewhat reasonable given the way inflation has gone. Once seated you have your choice of the serving stations. Up first is the salad area which is well stocked and includes fresh fruit, boiled shrimp, mussels and artificial crab salad. The salad station also has plenty of dressing and sauces. There is also a soup station with 3 or 4 soups, unfortunately they do not have shrimp chips which I always think is a bonus. There are several buffet stations of hot foods, mainly Chinese with a small selection of American standards. For me I usually get some rice noodles, lo mein or fried rice and then stock up on the shrimp, clams, mussels and the baked artificial crab. Overall the food is fresh and they do a good job of keeping things stocked. Where Fuji comes up a little short for me is that the flavors are a bit muted; the food is under seasoned for me. I usually to use quite a bit of the spicy oil from the salad bar to add some flavor. The sushi station is ok, they make the sushi fresh, but it is only maki rolls and the selection is about 5 or 6 varieties at lunch. Most of the sushi is made with either the crab sticks or shrimp, no fresh fish. Next to the sushi station is the grill station where you pick the raw ingredients and then have the chef cook them. Obviously this food is cooked fresh, although once again I find the sauces to be a bit under seasoned. Once you are ready for dessert there is a pastry section and a scoop your own ice cream. All of this is sweet and pretty good, but nothing really great. Overall Fuji Buffet provides decent food, there is a good variety and you should be able to fill up as much as you want. For me the flavors could be better, not bad just a bit muted. Of course your mileage may vary. read more

2 seniors lunch buffet weekdays 21.38 plus tip (water as drink) we enjoy the vast choices between asian, fusion, american, sushi, hibachi, huge fruit and salad bar...we go for the seafood as we enjoy black bean clams, steamed and cold mussels and shrimp, steamed fish. We find it better to go at opening 11 am versus 1 pm they do restock items frequently and are attentive to beverages and removing dirty plates. They have 4 soups, ice cream and dessert bar. I enjoy their egg tart that is served in phyllo paper and has a little pineapple juice..yakitori chicken and the seafood casserole (artificial crab chunks with a cheese sauce) lots of choices including meatloaf, ham, chicken a little for everyone not 5 star dining but still good and a value for the price. read more

We are glad that this buffet survived Covid! One of our favorite things here is the sushi. The sushi is wonderful and it is included in the buffet price. When we have a group of people, this is a great place to go because there is something for everyone. The sweet and sour soup tasted strange. The chicken and broccoli was not fresh. There were 2 different colored broccoli pieces but both looked like leftovers. That's all I eat when I eat Chinese so I was really disappointed. the food was just warm, not hot. if you like all the unclean buggy eyed creatures with their eyeballs and heads on then this is the place for you. Lots of that. The coffee squares from dessert section were dry and stale. I really enjoyed my salad and the sesame seaweed was good, never had that before. Oh, and did I mention the people watching that takes place there? What a riot that was! As for the expansive buffet, some of the highlights were the coconut shrimp, the hibachi stir fry and surprisingly, the lemon meringue pie at the dessert buffet. Overall decent, American Chinese food was hot and fresh, same for the American cuisine but that portion was extremely lackluster! Don't go here for the American food stick to the fusion. Possibly the best buffet I've ever been to. They have an unbelievable selection of Asian and American dishes with salad, sushi, hot entrees with seafood, chicken, beef and veggies. My daughter and I dined there yesterday to celebrate my grandson's birthday. Everything went well until the end, when the young woman who had been removing our used plates came to clear away our final plates and she decided it would be appropriate to fat-shame us. She leaned in, looked us in the eye, and snorted like a pig, saying "peegs." This was our first time here as a family, 4 of us had an enjoyable experience. Our bill came to $51.and change.... Not the cheapest of buffets if you're on a tight fixed budget.... BUT You do get your money's worth... The selection was amazing... Our 7 year old kept on piling food on her plate and actually ate it all. The main meats was a good selection, Roast, Ham, BBQ Ribs, Fried Chicken, Baked Chicken. The sides was a mix of Chinese and American dishes... Count the old staples of egg rolls, Crab Rangoon, Sushi, Hibachi ect. Desert station had a decent selection, Cakes, Cheese Cakes, Cookies, Pudding, Jello, Ice Cream. Frozen onion rings not even remotely hot. Ribs, not hot. Pot stickers not too bad, mashed potatoes, not too bad. The choices that weren't seafood were frozen pizza, dried up beef, some sort of pork, Mac and cheese. They charge $18.97. For $10 bucks more, I'm at longhorn steakhouse . Our family of 8 came her for dinner last night to celebrate a birthday. The service was very good from start to finish and the hibachi chef was fun and entertaining. I have to say, with the price of food increasing over the last couple years, I thought the prices were very reasonable. The food was very good and you get a good amount of it. We started with soup, then salad, then they start cooking on the flat top and that included rice, noodles, your meat and vegetables. It really was more than enough food. Never going back to this place... i had 3 things on my plate that i had enjoyed out of atleast 10 things i had gotten one thing that was absolutely disgusting was the mac n cheese it was 100 percent EXPIRED, and during my visit here i got told to be quiet AT A PUBLIC RESTAURANT WITH PEOPLE. Fuji is under new management and it shows. The sushi bar has much less selection that before. The buffet does not have some favorites that used to be there, like the delicious Korean style grilled beef ribs and the dim sum. I used to eat at Fuji all the time and the food and service is usually good, however, I went there last night for dinner and I had the worse service ever! When I ordered hibachi, it was a different guy who cooked the food.The new guy messed up my order. Not only did he mess it up, the way he plated the food was sloppy. When I told the guy behind the counter (who usually cooks the hibachi), he asked me to bring back the plate, which is UNSANITARY cause I already took it to my table. I informed the manager and he didn't seem to care. After all that, I went to get soup and there was lipstick stains on the cup! Not just one cup but multiple cups! Also, they also didn't have kalbi ribs. I don't understand why it's more expensive on Sunday's if they have the same foods as the other days. I no longer recommend this place. If you're looking for a good Asian buffet, avoid this place at all cost. They're overpriced with terrible food and service. The cheaper buffets have better food and service. They don't deserve a star but my review won't post unless I have at least one! TLDR: this place sucks, don't waste your time and money on terrible food and service. read more

There are some things there that are surprisingly ok. My Mom is a huge fan of Chinese buffets, so when she was out visiting I took her here. She really loved everything and she can get finicky about certain things (like mushrooms...at a Chinese buffet. I have no idea) but she seemed pretty happy. There was a decent amount of things I could eat and they were ok. I'm not a fan of Chinese buffets so it's not somewhere I would frequent, but it was a good experience with my Mom so it was a nice time.
