Ordered take out for lunch from this restaurant. I decided on chicken and vegetables lunch combo with steamed rice and a spring roll. The spring roll was fantastic, very flavorful and the egg roll wrap was crispy and golden brown. The chicken and vegetables however, were not my favorite. It had a slight sweetness to the sauce that threw me off, and the vegetables tasted as if they were not freshly made and added on site but taken from a premade mix. The carrot pieces were very large and thick. The restaurant itself was underwhelming in atmosphere, the music was nice.. but in addition to the music was a very loud soundtrack of birds chirping that made it sound as if a family of birds had moved into the ceiling space. It was a bit much. I couldn't find where they kept the sauces (soy, duck, etc..) and when I asked the lady said that they were already included in the takeout bag.. which seems a little wasteful to me, considering not everyone wants every sauce they have... and when I found them I was disappointed to only find two packets of soy sauce.. as I order steamed rice and like the soy on both that and my main meal.. but overall it was a decent place to get Chinese if you are in the area and really craving it. read more

We used to love this place, and don't get me wrong, they have wonderful food. When Covid hit, they had to go to take out only like many places, and they are still that way. What is frustrating though is their prices are more expensive than the other places nearby (who also have wonderful food), AND they now charge 5% extra if you don't pay by cash. Sorry... if you are charging more for your food to start with AND 5% extra, that's just too much... we will go to the other place and save money. It's a shame, as the people at Jade Garden are very nice and I wish them well. read more

I went there once when I was exploring GOTL. They have a very large menu; however, I felt like they use the same dishes with just different sauces. I dint find any differences in the different dishes. Apart from that, they are reasonably priced. The owner was very nice and friendly. I loved their service. Just for the food I'd have given a 3, but for the warm service and the pricing, I'd go with a 4 star. read more

The lady taking and giving orders out at the window was monumentally rude. She demanded cash when the website clearly specified pay with a card. When I mentioned I didn't have enough cash with me she began making gestures towards my wallet and making comments about the cash that I had. She was then rude to the next customer that handed a card to her and she acted like she could only accept cash, but she then took a card no problem. Good...but not great. We ordered bourbon chicken and it was hard...like crispy hard and it's not fried. The sauce was also way way sweet... So um yeah I wouldn't recommend that. Not that I had to wait but the food was not good. 2 completely different dishes ordered but looked and tasted the same. Only difference was the protein. It's been awhile since i ate here food quality went down a bit I don't like the breading it's kinda soggy and the flavor is bland. My favorite thing now seems to be potstickers very tasty egg drop soup isn't too bad as well I used to really like the sesime chicken it's ok at best will try again at another time. read more

Ordered take out this evening from Jade Garden and what a disappointment. Eating on site is definitely a completely different experience. Eating in, food is fresh and plentiful. Take out however I will never order from them again. I ordered sweet n sour chicken, when I got home the chicken was over cooked and mostly just fried batter, and hard chicken. This restaurant is a hidden gem in a small town. We will be back. Pot Stickers had great flavor with the right mix of ginger and garlic and meat. Vegetables all right texture of crisp but cooked. Party of two: First time visit - most definitely NOT THE LAST TIME. Had the House Special Dinner. Came with fried or steamed rice (we had fried). Choice of soup (wonton soup, hot & sour soup or egg drop soup (we had wonton) and come with ALL the appetizers (Spring Roll, Crab Rangoon, B.B.Q Spare Rib and Shrimp Chip). Spring Roll was good, Crab Rangoon was HEAVENLY, B.B.Q. Spare Rib was awesome - meat was so tender and sauce was very very good. We had a large choice of main dishes - chose Shrimp with Lobster Sauce and Sweet and Sour Chicken. Both dishes were tasty and full of meat. The shrimp was full pieces - not cut up and there were plenty of them. We also ordered hot tea and an a House Special Egg Foo Young. Three large portions and full of pork, shrimp, beef and chicken. Plenty of gravy too. We both had dinner - stuffed ourselves and came home with three lunches (which were gone for breakfast the next morning. Worth the drive - the trip & the cost. I have enjoyed Jade Garden for many years, since they were originally located near Route 20, behind Crandall ford. Great food, good price, friendly staff. Now is it the aboslutely best that I have ever had? Close...I have had some really good chinese at some other restaurants. Well, to clarify....this is very good "americanized" chinese food. My favorite Chinese restaurant! Love their chicken lo mein, cashew chicken & sweet and sour chicken! I always get fried won tons with pork as well and they are great. Nice people; a family owned business and I like to support them. They are in an out-of-the-way local so that may turn some people off but they are definitely worth it. My co-workers and I go there for lunch and always get awesome service. Large portions and we are always catered to with refills of tea, napkins, water and whatever else we need. Was craving Chinese and this was the closest place I could find with decent reviews. What a pleasant surprise! As others have said it is a no frills place but it is clean and everything was great. Excellent service, and the food was as good as any I've gotten anywhere in Los Angeles. The chef even came out to check on us. I've never had that happen before. We had spring rolls which were obviously freshly made and left me wanting another one. For main courses, we chose Shrimp chow mein and Orange chicken. Both were cooked to perfection, and delicious! The portions were generous and I can't say enough good things about the food. I've been disappointed many times by cheaply run Chinese restaurants. When I'm back in the area, I will definitely make the trip to eat here again. If you are looking for fancy this isn't it, but if you want great food, look no further. read more

Jade is one of the best kept secrets in Madison. The food is very good, you won't go wrong dining here. Service is good also, they do everything to make your visit enjoyable.
