We ordered the Chicken with Garlic Sauce and the Chicken with Cashew lunch specials. My experience yielded very friendly, personable service and the food came out hot and flavorful. For a lunch special the quantity was also plentiful. I had to get a to-go container. We had no issues with our food whatsoever and even commented this is actually good. The inside of the restaurant has room for improvement. There were boxes and other clutter. I see this establishment as more of a take-out place, even though there is a dining area. I gave them another chance because I was literally in the shopping center at lunchtime and I was hungry. I decided to go with the Americanized General Tso's chicken lunch special, with an egg roll and white rice. I am exactly 4 minutes away, so food should still be hot. The egg roll was barely warm. Mostly wrapper with very little filling. No amount of duck sauce could help. My next question is how can a Chinese restaurant serve overcooked, mushy rice? Half of it seemed okay, but half was mushy. It's like they mixed old rice and new rice. The chicken had 2 tiny pieces of broccoli! The chicken itself was mostly breading - very little actual chicken. The sauce was gloppy. They get an extra star because they are friendly and quick. The restaurant could also use some updating - although that could be overlooked if the food was better. Oh, their portion sizes are generous. Too bad it's not very good. Next time I'll just grab a frozen dinner in the supermarket and cook it myself - it's just as good! read more

I always get my steamed dumplings and shrimp egg rolls. So very good. Not stuffed into a thick shell but a thin shell and it is filled. Nice size portions I also like the beef with garlic and it is always enjoyable. Rice is fluffy. Just enough brown garlic juices to make it good the day after also if I'm unable to finish in day one. Hi! I got delivery from China Town the other night and I was very pleased! My delivery person was friendly and prompt. My wonton soup was hot and tasty. The Chinese noodles were fresh, light & crispy! My diet chicken & broccoli was freshly steamed. They sent lots of sauces and fortune cookies. My only comment would be the brown sauce on the side of my main dish was small, and the scallion pancakes were greasy. I had plenty for leftovers on all and enjoyed it the next day too. Came here on Christmas w/ the wife & In-Laws. Staff is very friendly, and we appreciated the fact that they were open on a holiday. My wife and I shared a Pu Pu Platter, my Mother-In-Law ordered the General Tso's Chicken, and my Father-In-Law had the Shrimp Lo Mein. I felt the Pu Pu Platter was very underwhelming, I've had better. Had a taste of the General Tso's, I thought it was OK, pretty average. My In-Laws come here often, they like the food served at China Town, but for me, it just seems to be another mediocre Chinese place. In a word, "DISGUSTING!" Wow, I've never had Chinese food this bad. If I could give these maniacs a zero I would. I'm really shocked that Chinese food could be made this bad. Absolutely terrible. Fried rice was flavorless. Egg roll was flavorless. Egg drop soup was a congealed lump of foulness. Sweet & Sour pork was tiny bits of pork and lots of breading; no peppers, no pineapples, no veggies. The lumps of breaded pork were accompanied by a side bowl of congealed flavorless red sauce. I threw it all in the garbage. I could have fed it to my dog, but I love my dog. Do yourself a favor. Run from this dump. I'd cut my own throat before eating this swill again. It is, without a doubt, bar none, the worst excuse for Chinese food that I've ever had. These folks should be arrested for selling this poison. Yelp describes two stars as "Could've Been Better" and being used to Chinese food from San Francisco, Philadelphia and New York City I would say that it could have been MUCH better. That said, the owners are pleasant, the food is typical for American-style Cantonese food, and they cater to the elderly population with its accompanying enthusiasm for easy to digest (i.e. overcooked) and middle of the road cuisine. Your mileage may differ. Worst I have ever had and I been eating Chinese for forty years. Cheapest ingredients couldn't even get the pork fried rice even close to being right. I read reviews but still wanted to give a try. I was even warned by a local and still tried. I asked for a lot of extra mustard and they sent two. I reminded seven (7) times for extra mustard and still only two. I called and they brought me more mustard (a lot). Only 7 more. Good grief. Nine total mustards for four people Crab Rangoon was edible but everything else went in the garbage. UN EDIBLE for sure. I have ordered from here before and the food was ok to good but tonight we ordered chicken and broccoli and it was sitting in oil looked more like a soup and I had chicken chow fun the noodles were under cooked . We took the food back and they gave us a full refund which was expected . Two stars are for the previous times . 5/20/16 Went to CHINA TOWN RESTAURANT IN WHITING for dinner they brought out my dinner with a little extra something a dead mosquito with a little blood. I told the waitress about it, she said looks like the pepper. She took the plate to the back came back with and said yes it was the pepper. They just scraped it off the piece of onion it was on and left the onion on the plate. This restaurant is disgusting & the food is garbage. Should have walked out when they served water in dirty glasses that were sticky. Only got worse from there. Ordered chow mei fun & the noodle was overlooked and gross. Ordered beef with broccoli & it was made with frozen limp broccoli and there was about 4 pieces of beef in there.
