Like a couple people said they do try to upsell you treatments and products. Just say no if you don't want them. I did a 90 minute massage with a body scrub and it was amazing. The masseuse was professional! I can tell she was tired at the end of the massage as I asked for a deep tissue. I believe her name is Angela. Without a doubt, I will try to return. read more

Great little spot. They try to up sell but hey, they're a small business trying to make some money. I didnt mind. I said, "No thank you" to some, gave in to some others. Walked away feeling awesome. read more

Lisa was amazing. She has a mighty touch with her small hands. She was very friendly, made me feel comfortable and gave me the best full body massage - worth every dollar. The place is clean and peaceful. We found this gem while waiting for breakfast nearby. She tried to up-sell a bit - understandableI. Will definitely be back the next time I am in Oahu. read more

Very friendly and clean facility... comfortable and straight-forward process They offer 30-mins, hour-long and 90-min sessions depending on the costumers needs Super Professional , very mindful and relaxing environment all together they offer couples massages as well. The owner Lisa is herself a great masseuse and her team also have a deep understanding of what they practice. very reasonable prices especially considering the neighborhood and the location recommended for winding down after a long day of hiking or surfing... or if you've just been laying in the sun and you need to feel your body again. we will be going back again in two weeks or so... read more

Wow I pass this place at least 10x a week and always wondered if it was a legit massage place or shady type. I kinda don't want to do this review as it's not too busy now lol it will be after this review tho. So I called and got an appointment right away. I got Katy. She's a petite Chinese lady but knows how to do Thai massage and deep tissue. Don't let her size fool you cuz she's very strong. I only had time for an hour massage and wish I had time for 90min or more cuz she's that good. She also did hot stone at no extra charge. They have cupping available for $30 extra. They have free private parking behind the building. Bathroom with shower is in their spa also. If you're in need of a massage this is the place to be! I know I'll be here weekly now! Don't forget to tip your massage therapist! read more

What a rip off. Scheduled a 1 hour massage for both my husband and son for $70 each. They left 35 mins later paying $350. How can you relax when the minute they get you on the table they continously try to upsell you. I was trying to do something nice for my family and they completely ruined it. If you are a tourist beware they will take advantage of you. You are better paying $350 from one of the hotels spas. read more

A great massage and friendly team! I definitely recommend you book your appointment today! Lisa and Jenny were both amazing!

Great place! My shoulders were tight and sore. My therapist Jenny is awesome. She communicated with me throughout the session to ensure I was ok. She has great hands and a very good technique. She worked out my knots and provided a soothing massage to relax. She performed a few stretches to loosen my muscles as well. The place is very clean and professional. I highly recommend Jenny. They provide free parking as well. read more

Great customer service! And amazing massage and cupping! Very Welcoming also did a body scrub! My skin and body feel GREAT!

Oh My God ! Maria Maria ! That was a great massage ! I recommend doing the 90 minutes massage . The reason I said Maria is because she did really well with my service . Thanks for making our last night in Waikiki very relaxing . read more

China Thai Massage - The sign - Massage Near Me - Honolulu, Hawaii

Great massage options from Swedish, Thai, deep tissue. We had a 90 minute couples' massage. I guess the only miss is the talk and banter going back and forth between our two therapists- I guess I like quiet sessions instead of talking, but that's just me. My therapist was attentive, hit all of the pressure points, hard on the calves and shoulders where I needed. Professional care, good therapists and great value, Waikiki locals d ample parking . Will be back read more

My friend and I went to China Thai Massage. The friend asked for Tradional Thai massage and the therapist didn't understand her, so she settled for a massage for 60 minutes. After the massage, the owner came in to do cupping which was painful so my friend asked her to stop and the owner kept insisting on doing it a couple more times. My friend said "No". During the cupping session my friend started to get hives due to oil being applied on her skin. Overall my friend didn't like the whole experience and never wanted to return to this place. Another complaint was that this place was NOISY since the owner and another therapist (?) in the front were carrying a conversation while patrons having their massages. If you don't mind the noise and that the therapists get pushy in getting the patrons to buy additional services like body scrub, cupping, etc. then this place is for you. Do your research before going to this place. read more

I worked late and was feeling extreme muscle tension that was making it hard to breathe. Called many places that were either closing or booked. I browsed for cupping and cakme across China Thai. I called desperately and Lisa took me last minute and was very gracious of my "being stuck in traffic" heading to Waikiki. Parking was accessible and off the street which was appreciated. She did tell me over the phone its Cash Only and gave me the amount to bring which I appreciated. The place was clean and very Zen. Lisa identified all my tensions and affected areas and applied pressure just as i liked it and listened to my requests. She did a Thai Combination with traditional Cupping. She is very skilled and accurate, has strong soft hands and was really just great at what she does. She went over the time because she didnt want to not complete but took longer as i was really needing it for no extra charge. I left there with instructions on "what not to do" (never was told in my numerous cupping sessions elsewhere and never researched) so yeah!! Again much appreciated and i felt like a brand new woman Mahalo Lisa for such a fantastic job! I will keep coming as suggested until all the spots are lighter :) read more

China Thai Massage - Now thats some bad ass Cupping the darker the more toxins! Feelin' a nice relaxing soreness - Massage Near Me - Honolulu, Hawaii

First: when you make a reservation make sure to confirm at least 3 times the service and the price. They will do things you didn't ask and then double charge you. Secondly: only the owner is a real masseuse, the others are just hanging around and don't have a clue about massage. There are plenty of cheaper and better places around. read more

I've had pretty good experiences with some Chinese massage places in the past, so I didn't hesitate to come here, especially because my feet and body were just killing me! Well....let's just say that I highly, highly regret it. The lady on the phone suggested that my husband and I choose the massage that would touch upon our necks, backs, legs, and feet (as opposed to just a foot massage) for $120 for the both of us. Okay, we're game. Decent price for two for 50 minutes (certainly a lot cheaper than at a hotel). I also did want to say that I am currently pregnant; although I didn't mention it on our phone call, I let the message therapist know and she said it was perfectly fine. Pros: - The massage therapist asked me about the pressure; I told her I wanted it harder, and she adjusted accordingly Cons: - The pro that I just mentioned...well, she had stronger pressure for approx. 10 minute before reverting back to REALLY, REALLY minuscule pressure the rest of the time - It seemed as if she only knew how to massage a couple of places; she worked on my knots on my upper shoulders. And then on other parts of my body, she was literally doing the same thing over and over and over and over again - When she got to my foot/leg massage... oh man. Where do I even start. I could tell when she was using one hand vs two. There was one moment where I somehow thought that she was on the phone while massaging me (she was massaging me in one place, over and over and over and over again, with no pressure...see a pattern here?). Well, it was only minutes after that when there was a vibration on my table right where she was so I was right - she WAS on her phone, and she had the audacity to place the phone on the table and received a text/whatever it was during. Her two hands suddenly changed to the one hand/same maneuver again as she obviously picked up the phone - She massaged my right foot for a decent amount of time. When she got to my left foot, however, she barely touched it. As in, 5 minutes of foot massage and (I'm not exaggerating) she rubbed my left calves up and down (with no pressure, mind you) close to 75 times. SEVENTY FIVE TIMES. No one needs their calves rubbed that many times, especially when there was NO PRESSURE - During my initial call with the boss(?), she told me that we needed to pay in cash. I told her that I didn't have that much cash on me. She then said "Okay, credit is okay for the $120. However, the tip must be in cash" to which I responded that that was perfectly fine. Well, when we went to pay, the two massage therapists were the ones to collect the money. I told them that we didn't have $120 in cash, but they couldn't understand English that well. Eventually, they told my husband to go to an ATM machine that was nearby and literally pushed me into the chair to wait read more

By far the best massage I have ever had. I got a one hour massage and also asked for cupping. Even though they close at 9:30 PM, they took me in at 8:45 PM and completed the one hour massage and cupping meeting. I was there past closing time. I really appreciated them taking me at that time anyway. My massage included traditional pressure as well as deep pressure, the masseuse standing on my back and walking around, as well as Thai stretching, and then I paid for cupping ($30). I literally feel like my Adams were rearranged. And I mean that in the best way possible. They also regularly checked in to see if they were applying too much or too little pressure which I appreciated. Overall, very polite, clean, professional, and fantastic service, I will probably go twice in one week read more

Finally able to make it back and it was WONDERFUL!!!! This little gem just on the edge of Waikiki is where I go whenever I need to get my body reset and ready to go. Lisa is AMAZING!! The staff here is always so nice and kind, there's parking in the back, and the prices are also an added bonus. read more

Average massage at best. The therapists were very friendly and very accommodating. She even texted us a picture and directions to get there. We had just come from the beach so she allowed my husband to get a quick shower. Unfortunately being accommodating, does not translate into a great massage. read more

Cindy is very, very strong. If you have a lot of knots and tension to be released she is the one you should ask for.

Walked in today for massage. Katy did my massage and my body feels refreshed. Very attentive.

Went in with my boyfriend for two individual 60-minute massages. The massages were good despite the fact that we both got completely different treatments that we didn't request. But we went from giving China Thai a 4 to 5 star rating to nearly zero stars when the women who treated us were so aggressive about tipping! Being from NY and in the service industry- we were ready to tip over the recommended 15%. But my massage therapist literally reached into my wallet as I had it out, after tipping $15 each, and took an additional $20 as she rambled something. We went to relaxed to very tense in an instant. It's not worth calling the police and wasting their time over $20 but it was basically robbery. Before the incident, I was thinking to myself that we would come back again before our trip was over but because of $20- it cost the owner $120 for our return patronage. read more

Hands down this was the WORST massage / experience I've ever had. Did more harm than good. 1) The "therapist" was rubbing my body aimlessly with zero precision and not listening to me when I told her to lighten up the pressure / focus on certain areas / trigger points. 2) She kept on trying to upsell me during my massage for cupping and to extend the session - this is annoying. 3) She took a phone call during my massage 4) They overcharged my method of payment by $100. 5) YOU DO NOT CRACK A PERSON'S BACK OR NECK WITHOUT FIRST ASKING THEM IF THEY ARE COMFORTABLE WITH THIS TYPE OF TECHNIQUE. There could be serious injury especially if you're not a properly trained. These people are not licensed massage therapists - pure amateurs and UNPROFESSIONAL in every sense. Would give zero stars if I could and will be definitely be reporting them to the better business bureau. DO NOT COME HERE. UNPROFESSIONAL. UNLICENSED AND HIGH RISK OF INJURY. read more

I visited China Thai massage for a 60 mins massage and cupping combo. The massage from Gina was great! However, I feel like I got overcharged/swindled by Lisa (who I believe is the owner). I went in and looked at a brochure on the front table that said 60 mins massage/cupping was $80. Lisa rushed me to a room and made me wait for 10 mins maybe more only to have someone else come in (Gina who have me a great massage). But she didn't know how to cup. Lisa came back at the end and spent less than 5 mins massaging/scanning my body to know where to place the cups and administered the cupping. And she did not wipe the oil off my back at the end. When I went to pay after she had scanned my card the price read $94 and I couldn't find the brochure I read on the desk when I arrived and she told me suddenly that the price had changed. I had a great massage from Gina. But I definitely felt like Lisa scammed me and did a very rushed job on the cupping and didn't even bother to take the oil Off my back or massage me a bit when I was done, which has never happened to me before. read more

PROS -organized and clean massage & spa facility -friendly and accommodating owner (Lisa) -affordable prices -knowledgeable masseuse with decades of experience in a wide array of massage specialties (ex: Thai massage, Swedish massage, hot stone) -masseuse targets your troubled areas -degrees of massage firmness available upon request -shower provided -free candy/tea/water -cash/check/card accepted CONS -wish it was open 24/7 Been coming to this new location for almost a year now. Used to frequent Lisa's old location at Century Tower but she moved to this location, which is much better (see reasons stated above) and easier to find. First met Lisa several years ago and followed her here. Stayed with Lisa since she provides the firm massage I need for my upper and lower back knots I accumulate from my day job sitting at a computer for hours on end. I've had my fair share of massage providers (within the US and internationally) and they pale in comparison to Lisa. Lisa is very accommodating and listens to you. If you tell her the location of the tense area, she will focus on that and in the process improve it's range of flexibility and mobility. Lisa also provides hot stone massage to relax your muscles while providing something unique along the way. Once you get a massage from her, you will never go back to another masseuse. She has decades of massage experience under her belt and is still working to provide exceptional service to all her customers. Mahalo for everything you do Lisa! I hope your business continues operating in these unprecedented COVID times. read more

Went there a few days ago wanting to get a massage cause I had so much tension in my neck and shoulders. My therapist spoke very little english, every time she would ask if I'm ok, I would reply with what I wanted more done or telling her it was too hard. She just kept going like I never said anything. That's when I figured she didn't understand me because she couldn't understand english. When she was massaging my neck her nails kept scratching me. Also while massaging me she kept burping. I wasn't relaxed at all I felt so disturbed, my neck and shoulders still felt the same when I left. I was so disappointed. My therapist kept going out of the room the get things she needed. I felt so uncomfortable there with my body being on the table and her opening door and not saying anything. I have to say was my worst massage place that I have been to. Not professional at all. read more

I recently spent two weeks in Oahu and just like last year, I stopped in a few times to get a massage. Lisa (owner) does a great job! She is very attentive, listens to your needs, pressure preference, and often asks for your feedback. Lisa was able to accommodate my date and time requests. If there was a conflict, she offered other therapists or times when she was available. If you would like a legitimate professional massage and you are in Waikiki, give Lisa a call and make an appointment. I plan to visit China Thai Massage on my next vacation visit to Oahu. read more

I do not normally write bad reviews but unless you speak up, they will never fix their problems in the future. Where do I start? They only take cash (even though it says they take credit card at the door) but they don't inform you of this till you've already agree to treatment. I go to a lot of massages, and I've never experienced one like this. The technician left without saying anything mid treatment for 5 minutes. Then she proceeded to have a loud conversation with another employee in the next room, sometimes shouting. But the worse part was when I checked out and gave her a tip. She actually looked at the tip in her hand to see how much I gave and pointed at a sign that read: Tips appreciated, suggested 20%!!!! First off the massage was a bad experience. No has ever asked me for more money as a tip. I was in shock. She actually wanted almost demanded 20% for a bad massage. read more

I will definitely go back to loosen up when im feeling tight. Thanks for the great service! read more

China Thai Massage - Massage Near Me - Honolulu, Hawaii

Please whatever you do, do not go to this massage facility. The staff are not professionals, slap hazard training. The girl really tried, she really did, but when I started to feel her nails, that was not good. She asked if I wanted hot stones in the middle of the massage after I already specified I wanted just a massage. I ended up paying the 10 dollars anyway, and the stones were too hot, she didn't know how to use the stones correctly with massage. I gave a good tip only because I felt sorry for her as she thought she was a skilled professional. The massage bed needs to be changed/renovated as I could feel the base when she pressed down my forearms into the bed. The linens need to be made new as they were old and I don't like placing my face, head on old, very used towels. Won't ever go back. read more

Go somewhere else... Laziest massage ever received. After arriving they placed a towel over my eyes; a few minutes later the pressure being applied felt nonexistent. I could slightly see from under the towel that was placed over my eyes and noticed a faint light ... she was using her phone while performing the massage. I figured it would be momentarily but she continued and would switch hands. Poor service - when asked to leave a tip when I was leaving - I explained to the woman at the front desk the displeasure / unsatisfactory professionalism and she just said oh, and patted me on the back as I walked out... I would not recommend this place to anyone read more
