This place is great! I always order from here. You can't beat the lunch specials. Plus the lady in there is super sweet.

The worst hot and sour soup I ever had. Not spicy at all. Ordered two quarts just to flush down the toilet.

I was looking for a quick take out/Mediterranean spot and this place came up in my search. I was…read moresurprised that it was located by a gas station store. You can order food all the way at the back of the store. They also have ready to eat food and sides in the refrigerator section. I grabbed a big slab of spanakopita for $10 (delicious once I threw it in the air fryer for a couple of minutes at home), hummus (also delicious - it was very smooth), and stuffed grape leaves/dolmas. I also ordered a double shot of ginger juice (which seemed more like a single shot in a tiny sauce container for $5), chicken shawarma platter and chicken Greek salad. For almost $17, the chicken shawarma was a bit disappointing in terms of portion size - it came with two sides, which we did French Fries and grilled veggies. Taste wise it was it was decent but I didn't get full from it. I went on a weekday afternoon and they had a steady stream of customers but only one guy manning everything so service was not the fastest. There were several tables available to dine in but most do take out.

A friend recommended this place to me, so I decided to try it out. I ordered the kibbe, baklava…read morewith pistachios, lamb shawarma, and Turkish coffee. The kibbe was very crispy and firm, the baklava was sweet and flaky, and the lamb shawarma was the highlight--absolutely delicious! I highly recommend it; it tasted incredibly fresh. The Turkish coffee was a bit of a letdown. I usually enjoy black coffee, but maybe I just haven't acquired the taste for it. The service was great--the server was friendly and always had a smile! The restaurant itself looks a bit run-down from the outside, but the inside is relatively clean. It's nothing fancy, but it's a comfortable spot to enjoy a meal. I'll definitely be coming back for the lamb shawarma and baklava, and I'd love to check out more Lebanese snacks and goodies!

Love their pastrami sandwich! And almost all the other too…read more But my most favorite is a Rachel. Try it! It's delicious!

Usually I'll…read morego for lunch and or dinner and enjoy their hot pastrami on rye and matzo bowl soup combination. Which, by the way is excellent. Today I stopped by the Stuart Florida Toojay's this time to try breakfast. I chose the pancakes platter which included two pancakes. (added the blueberries as an option) Scrambled eggs and link sausage dish. I also ordered my traditional breakfast tea with honey. Service: When I walked into the restaurant there was no one at the hostess counter. Since the sign stated to wait for the hostess be seated, I waited a few minutes before one of the cooks noticed me and told me to grab a table and he'd have someone come out as soon as possible. About five minutes later someone finally showed up. Not a great start. My server... let's just say was efficient. However, it would've been great if she served me with some type of a resemblance of a smile. The atmosphere Toojay's has a pretty nice atmosphere with booths, dark wood trim and an interesting eclectic mix of music that was low enough to speak with and hear your dining partner. The food. Of course the restaurant did not have steamed milk for my tea and had to hunt around for honey but eventually we got an acceptable serving of tea. The pancakes and scrambled eggs came out pretty quickly. However, they rested on one dish a fact that I hate as the syrup inevitably migrates to the eggs. Fortunately I had an extra small plate under my tea which I used to separate both. The eggs were okay and the pancakes were okay but, the link sausage were small and a bit undercooked. The bottom line: The bottom line or as I call it "the customer so" what, would I come back? Probably not. Not because it was terrible simply because it wasn't anything special or to be more precise, I would most definitely come back for the pastrami on Rye just not for the breakfast.
