I constantly give this place another try because it is right around the corner from my house and it always seems to disappoint every time... it used to be better. It is not near as good as it used to be, not that it was great, but it was at least average. Too much sesame oil is used the rice taste like it's all the noodles taste like they're old. I don't even know what the vegetables are in the lo mein. I had to pull out the very little bit that was in there because it was horrible, like an onion peel.. it's a shame because it used to be an acceptable place to eat, and I feel that it no longer is. read more

Yall this food is mediocre at best and for $50 I would expect a larger portion or it to be crispy and on point savory General Tso... This was sweet and soggy like a buffet lol. The customer service was lacking as well. I didn't know he was on a Bluetooth in his ear so ordering was confusing and picking up he was still on it talking to a friend so i was clueless if he was talking to me or the person on the phone. Very small portions for the price and I think the food court in the mall is the same quality so I was disappointed. $50 for fried rice and general tso, crab ragoons, and 3 egg rolls. I expect it to be great quality orrrr enough to eat tomorrow cold for breakfast. read more

Finally found my favorite Chinese takeout place in the area after what seemed like trying every other spot and constantly being let down. Service is always quick, packaged well, fresh and most importantly HOT. They actually read and follow meal notes/substitutions. The beef chow fun, chicken and broccoli and egg rolls are amazing! The typical Chinese Restaurant in Publix plaza. (There must be a law that requires a Chinese Restaurant be in a Publix plaza as there are very few without one.). Anyway, I had the General Tso Chicken dinner combo. Tso sauce was a bit tangy and I could see the red pepper flakes abound making for a nice spicy dish (a good thing). It was good. I ordered an extra egg roll (one comes with the combo). They were cooked well, but there was a bit of aftertaste. Not sure if it was the duck sauce or the roll as I don't eat them without duck sauce. It wasn't bad. Just a bit weird. The white rice was cooked perfectly. I wish I could make rice like that at home. When I called in my order, I was pleasantly surprised that the girl spoke perfect American English. That doesn't always happen when ordering. Nothing at all against Asian accents, it's just hard to understand at times. When I arrived, low and behold, an Asian girl with no accent presented my order. Second or third generation Asian American I would guess. Good for her! I'm in town for 18 more nights and this place is on my way back to the hotel. I will definitely be back. read more

This place is pretty good for take out Chinese food. They do not deliver, we normally call in our order and pick it up. Staff is friendly enough, if your lucky you can get someone who can speak English! But no worries just give them the food number and they have yet got our orders wrong. We have been ordering take out from China Star II for many years. Always great! The fried dumplings were excellent last night. They had a lot of filling and the dipping sauce was perfect. We also love the fresh and crispy vegetable spring rolls. My husband cannot eat onions or scallions and they will willingly modify any of their recipes upon request. The food is always fresh, delicious, and hot off the stove. We love this place! read more

I've been ordering Chinese food from this restaurant and the food is mediocre as it's the only Chinese restaurant in the area ( Ibis shopping plaza) affwr receiving the wrong dinner. The restaurant refused to exchange my $9.95 combo. Terrible customer service therefore I WILL never order from that place again !!! Rude and do not care about their customers! You know...it's pretty darned tasty. They advertise that they are a New York style Chinese take-out establishment and they live up to that promise. The place has zero atmosphere but the food is hot and fresh and quite reasonably priced. If you live in Ibis it's super-convenient. Just bring the food back to your home! read more

I ordered the beef chow fun, chicken fried rice, spring rolls and egg drop wonton soup. The noodles in the chow fun were a bit over cooked for my taste, however they were all very tasty! It reminded me very much of the Chinese food I used to get in Brooklyn!! I would definitely return. read more
