By far the best fried chicken wings I've had in Brooklyn! I came here a couple of times after hearing so much about it and decided to order 10 wings with a small shrimp fried rice to test it out. The second time around, I ordered about 20 or 30 wings with 2 orders of shrimp fried rice. Each time I ordered in person as opposed to calling ahead of time. It only takes about 15 to 20 minutes to receive your order. Requesting a large quantity of the Yellow Hot Mustard sauce is a must. By far one the most popular Chinese food restaurants in Brooklyn. I think they sprinkle a little bit of coke on the wings because they are so addictive. Anyone that has tasted them will concur. They are marinated in soy and fried crispy but still has moisture and flavor. The lo mein is greasy but the fried egg and chives drizzled with soy gives you a false sense of healthiness (protein and veggies). You can buy pans of food at reasonable prices, perfect for parties and large gatherings and can be ordered the same day. Very convenient. The soy wings are amazing. Here's the trick... you should probably go before 7pm because I believe they make the last batch of wings kinda early. So if there's extras, assume they have been sitting under a heater and they might be a lil dry. Otherwise they are really solid chicken wings(pieces cause they precut them). I really love the wings here and they are seriously one of the best wings in Brooklyn-EVER! Even King Kong has nothing on these wings or better yet, not even the Kernel himself. You order the wings a day or two prior to your event and they provide you with a number after you tell them what time you need the wings ready. The issue I have is that they never have the wings ready. I always have to wait 15-20 min, which tells me they aren't preparing the wings until they physically see you there. As a NYC native and a long time resident of the East Flatbush area, I can guarantee you that the wings served at China Restaurant (yes, that's the name) are some of the best you will ever have in your life. They're not your average wings. I doubt you'll find anything like it anywhere else. The restaurant refers to them as "soy sauce wings." I've referred to them over the years by their nickname, "Snyder wings," since China Restaurant is on the corner of Utica and Snyder. To this day I have no idea what the process is for cooking these wings. I know soy sauce is incorporated into the batter somehow. And I've tried to figure it out. But to no avail. I don't know why because I doubt I'd ever try myself. But now, I'm cool with keeping it a mystery. I like the mystique that surrounds these wings. I've put many people on to them and no one has ever disliked them. Wings are 50 cents each. A $5 order of wings (10 wings) can feed two people just fine. And then they do pans. $10 pans, $15 pans, $20 pans. Those are great for large gatherings. You can also ask for extra stuff like soy sauce, scallions and hot sauce. The only downside about the wings is that they don't hold that well any longer than a day. If you have leftovers, reheat them in the oven on a low temperature the next day. Any longer than that and they kinda lose their flavor. The absolute worst time to order wings is on big sporting event days such as Super Bowl, fight nights, wrestling nights, UFC nights, NBA All-Star weekend, etc. Family holidays are rough as well (especially New Year's Eve). You can call ahead and place an order as early as the evening before you want to pick up. Make sure they give you an order number before you hang up or else it's going to be hell retrieving it. If you call the day of to order and get a busy signal, best believe they have taken the phone off the hook. You're going to have to order in person and wait it out. Make sure to speak up to get the employees' attention behind that glass. It's easy to become invisible in here. The longest I've ever waited for a pan of wings is an hour. Be ready to meet some characters while you wait. I've also seen some fantastic arguments and near physical altercations. This place is not for the weak. You're in the hood. But it's all worth it. Don't ask me how the Chinese food is here. I've never tried and probably never will. read more

I heard about Snyder wings in Flatbush and then found the place on Yelp, so decided to try it out. For $3.50 I got served quickly with 5/6 wings and a good serving of rice, which I thought was pretty good value. I don't usually like chicken wings at all but these were enough for me to get over my usual distaste for not knowing what kind of chicken is under the skin. There was plenty of meat on the bone and it seemed to be really good quality. The soy is really tasty without being too salty or overpowering and they loaded on ht sauce at my request.
