Quick and fast preparation of enough food for 8 adults and 4 children. Everything was hot and ready for pickup in 25 minutes. This place has seating for about 3 people and the open kitchen is busy with activity. Strictly a takeout with great food! Too many items to list but we got fried rice, rib tips, Gen Tso Chicken, lo mien, combination egg foo yung, egg drop soup and egg rolls. read more

Hai Sun Chinese Restaurant - A SCREW WAS FOUND IN MY FOOD ..ON JULY 25TH 2025 .. - Chinese Near Me - Brooklyn, New York

I still order from Hai Sun at least once a week. Their delivery is freaky fast. My last order took 22 minutes to arrive at my door. I love their pork fried dumplings and egg drop soup. Their sweet and sour chicken is to die for. They were closed for a bit during COVID-19, but they are back with a vengeance. This is a small family business. They are pickup/delivery only. They recently began taking debit/credit (only for pick up). However, they prefer cash. Delivery is cash only! They recently raised their prices, but the quality is absolutely worth the price hike. You can also order on Uber Eats. I recommend calling and ordering rather than use Uber Eats. Uber Eats prices their meals several dollars above their raised menu prices!! Also, if you order $30 or more they give you extras - soda, egg roll, etc... it changes depending on how much you spend. This is only if you order over the phone! Like I said above, their delivery is freaky fast!! Totally worth taking a chance on. read more

Ordered via Doordash around 9pm last night. I always has a thing for Chinese American food, having grown up on it. I often try new restaurants just for kicks. Coming off a 10 hour gig, I was hungry. The food arrived fast and Dasher was fine. As I carried the bag from my front door to my apartment, I was very hungry and happy to not have to cook. The bag felt heavy so I was excited. The double egg rolls were ok. I enjoy mine with soy sauce, and since they didn't include it, used my own. It was greasy, and overly salty, as I was using the soy sauce sparingly. But edible. The Mongolian beef was a whole different story. The sauce tasted like ketchup like they used a cheap version of that and added cheap spices. Even worse everything tasted off. They packed the dish with vegetables, and nearly all of them tasted spoiled. The beef was also off, like it was several days past date. Lastly I tried the egg drop wonton soup. The soup was fine and familiar. But the pork in the wontons was suspect, and also tasted past due. Cut to 4AM I woke up and had to run to the bathroom. It was if I had taken a large dose of laxatives before falling asleep. My stomach is still in irons and I can't go back to sleep. I highly suspect the ingredients are rotten, and this contributed to my current state. DON'T recommend read more

Stopped here for a quick lunch while I was working in the area and it was amazing. I got the roast pork and mixed vegetable lunch special. I definitely recommend this place to anyone in the area. read more

Best Chinese Restaurant in PLG in terms of food & taste. Delivery super fast. I'm not speaking on customer service because that doesn't apply to these kind of establishments. Rule #1 for those moving into the neighborhood and new to the culture: You don't go to Caribbean or Chinese take-outs expecting 5 star customer service just focus on the food. read more

The food has been great every order. The service is also good. They make sure they get your order correct.

I've ordered here a couple of times and when I'm craving great rice with a variety of options, this is my go to spot! They're fast and not overpriced. While I do love their ride I am not a big fan of their meat! It's often a bit soggy or doesn't taste fresh. read more

Your typical neighborhood Chinese food restaurant. I moved out of the area years ago, and had it recently. The food is consistent, and fresh. Compared to my local place, they make the best sweet and sour chicken. I would avoid the General Tso's chicken. Very starchy and bland. read more

please don't buy any thing from here the food is old and they will be rude and no refund or exchanges

After years of ordering they sent no sauce for the dumplings no fresh duck sauce and no chop sticks We offered to pick it up for free but they said it'd be another 1.50 even to pick up. The delivery guy gets 4x that. I'm going to New Peking. They only take cash but they don't charge you for what they didn't deliver. The food there is better too. I only went to them because I didn't have cash on hand during Covid. read more

Food's good, but the service SUCKS! I've been going to this resturant for a while now, but never have i experienced waiting OVER AN HOUR to get my food. When I called they kept saying it was busy and j had to wait... no I'm sorry or anything. As soon as I told them I was calling yelp to cancel the order, the food came in 10 mins...smh read more

Ordered delivery from this place tonight. Ultimate yikes. General Tso's chicken -- mushy breading, no spice or flavor. Not even sure if it was real chicken Shrimp Chow Mein -- small, slimy shrimps with mixed vegetables. It was terrible. Oh! And did I mention there were no noodles... WHAT?! It was literally a box of broccoli and a couple of shrimp so I'm really hoping it was just a mistake Shrimp Egg Roll -- no shrimp featured. Am I sensing a pattern here? I was honestly not sure what I was eating as I bit into the spongy filling YIKES. Never again. read more

This food was DISGUSTING. We spent $47 on Postmates to get absolute trash literally. We ended up throwing basically everything away. The fried wontons were completely inedible weird dough that was like the glue from a hot glue gun, the dumplings tasted like complete ass. Sweet and sour chicken looked like chicken nuggets with sweet and sour sauce. VERY disappointed. Do not order from here. We ended up throwing all the food away basically. read more

Hai Sun Chinese Restaurant - All their gross food in the trash, in the wrapper are the disgusting fried wontons. - Chinese Near Me - Brooklyn, New York

I've ordered from this restaurant more than a few times. A few times in store, a few times call in for delivery and even through seamless. It's Chinese food but not above average. The house special fried rice is hit or miss. It's been great on two occasions, dry on one order and I don't remember it being dry the other times but it wasn't great... or even good. In store I ordered an iced tea and a lemonade. The lady called out the order and the guy stood in the same spot. She called it out again and he turned to her scratching his gut then looked at me. She shouted it one more time but I was already on my way out the door. I ordered delivery and when the delivery guy came my order was $17.25. The delivery man gave me $2 change. His math was off because he was missing my .75¢ which I was going to give to him with the rest of the change, but since he decided to tip himself with my money that was the last time I'll be doing any kind of business with these guys. read more

I don't care about service, I care about my time and my food. I order my food on the way there Skinny Cheese fries and more on deck. I get there 5-10 min later no matter how busy, my food is always ready or is finishing. I pay, get my shit and bounce. I don't understand why people expect anything more when your not even breaking bank. Your expecting people whose English is probably their second or third language to kiss your ass? I think not! Enjoy! read more

I like these guys for their vegetarian dishes. I like the vegetarian beef with Broccoli. All of the sauces are good, I like the spicy garlic. I also like the Mapo Tofu. My GF, who is not vegetarian, likes the shrimp fried rice, the BBQ Ribs , and the Beef Fried Rice and the sesame Beef. Don't get me wrong this will not be the best food you ever had but it is tasty and cheap ( good serving sizes) and fast. Always fast. Even though they come from further away than some of the other places that I order from. The serving sizes end up, especially the mapo, getting me through two or three meals. And the rare time when they make a mistake, like they forgot the hot n sour soup or the soda, they always send someone back in an unbelievable amount of time. I order from them on Seamless. read more

I've lived in this neighborhood for over a decade and the food served here has waxed and waned in quality. The portions are massive and the prices are fairly inexpensive for basic American takeout fare. I've never dealt with impoliteness here, but occasionally, the staff can be a bit brusque from the high amounts of orders they receive. Anyway, back to the food. It's cheap and yummy with dangerously large portions (this is NYC we're talking about here). I ordered General Tso's chicken a few weeks ago that felt inedible because of the massive amounts of viscous sauce and breading disguising meat that seemed to be chicken. It was too much to bare, but their plainer foods, such as shrimp with broccoli and white rice is perfectly inoffensive. read more

I ordered food from this restaurant through Uber Eats. The restaurant took about half an hour to prepare my food and when it arrived it was still fresh and firm . Often times freshly prepared food that is packaged quickly sweats and becomes soggy . However this restaurant mastered how to package and deliver steaming hot food. I ordered the General Tsos Chicken , Chicken Lo Mein , Fried Dumplings and an Egg Roll. The General Tsos Chicken was spicy but delicious with a side dish of pork fried rice which had a very soft texture. The Lo Mein was lightly seasoned with no traces of oil. The Dumplings were almost raw on the inside but they were edible . I would definitely order from this restaurant again . read more

i have given this place several chances but they just can't seem to get it right!.. the first time i ordered a small young chow fried rice with no pork, no chicken, no bean sprout and not spicy with the shrimp and beef sauteed.. they sent me spicy with my shrimp and beef steamed.. okay i decided to give them another try.. i ordered a large young chow fried rice with no pork, no chicken, no bean sprout and not spicy with the shrimp and beef sauteed.. they sent me a small order, spicy with the shrimp and beef steamed so i paid $16 and they gave me an $11 order (not to mention i always tip their delivery guy) .. the last time which is today( right now) i ordered a small young chow fried rice with no pork, no chicken, no bean sprout and spicy with the shrimp and beef sauteed... they sent me NOT SPICY with my shrimp and beef steamed smh.. i spoke with the manager explaining all these incidents and he assured me they would make a new order and drop it off in exchange for the old one.. only to have an employee call back and tell me that they will not be sending out another order and if i wanted i should come into the store and place a new order.. so if you like an establishment that doesnt give you what you pay for or that doesnt care enough to rectify a situation then this is the place for you.. as for me I WILL NOT be ordering here again and I WILL NOT be recommending them to anyone EVERRRRR!!!! read more

Delivery arrived on time and the order was correct. As for food, the good thing is they do not skimp on adding veggies or meat. But the flavor is just not there. It's more of a hit or miss. First time the chicken and broccoli was not bad, scallion pancakes too dry, so we decided to give it another try. But second time around, the roast pork with Sichuan sauce has no flavor whatsoever plus it tastes like old cooking oil... So I agree with other reviewers, if you must order here, stick to the basics. read more

If I could give negative stars, I would. My friend and I ordered about five different dishes and appetizers to share including Age Tofu, string beans, sesame chicken, flat noodles, and scallion pancakes. When we received the food, all of it was tasteless and inedible. We picked at it a tiny bit because we were starving. But ultimately we tossed it in the trash because it was that bad. (And we are honestly not that picky). We ordered through seamless and called them first to ask about a refund. They reached out to the restaurant told us they required to pick up the food before they would refund us. We told the restaurant we had already thrown it out, but they insisted on picking it up. We explained that it was in the trash, but they still insisted. So we waited an hour. Finally, after another call to Seamless, a woman from the restaurant called us and screamed at us, hung up, called back and screamed again, three times. She demanded that we send her a picture of the food to her cell phone. So we texted her a picture of the food in the trash (we explained to her what state it was in, but she probably didn't hear us because she was constantly screaming at us and wouldn't take a second to listen). She called us back screaming again to call us liars and say there was only rice in the picture. She demanded we pick through the garbage and put it back into the containers to prove we had not eaten the food. So I literally sat on the floor...and picked through the garbage. They never came to pick it up. We never got a refund. This place is absolute garbage and so is their food. Literally go anywhere else. read more

At first th this was my favorite Chinese store I recently ordered food for my sister and I she got boneless spare rib tips and I got chicken wings with french fries her boneless spare rib tips looked like mini rats chopped up and my chicken wings tasted terrible. They still had feathers in them. My French fries were uncooked and very frozen like when I had asked them to be well done just to avoid this. When I called them back to complain about it, they simply didn't care. Also they mixed pork and shrimp fried rice together in the order of only SHRIMP FRIED RICE. Terrible spot. read more

I ordered from here a couple of times and the food is sometimes good and sometimes off. Recently I ordered Crab sticks which were amazing !!!! But I also order spare rib tips with plantain as well. Used to be one of my favorite places in Flatbush, I don't know what happened. They are rude, they always rush you off the phone and the food is always inconsistent. Today was the final straw though. I ordered General Tso Tofu with white rice. What I got was 4 pieces of soggy tofu in flavorless brown sauce with white rice. When I called to compl the guy said "well that's what you ordered. What do you want?" and hung up. Horrible. And let me also add, I live about 7 blocks away and they took over an hour and a half to bring my food. NEVER AGAIN! Great food for such an affordable price. I've been working in the neighborhood for about a year and at least once a week I HAVE to get take out from this place. The food gets to me in less than 15 minutes, always hot, and the staff are super nice. I'm in love with the chicken wings, they're always so well cooked, crispy, and delicious! I'm really into Chinese food and I must say this is probably if not the BEST Chinese food I've ever had. 5 stars for sure!! read more

Mr. & Mrs. "Chan", as the owners are affectionately known, are the best in the neighborhood when it comes to Chinese-American food in the area. The diner style setup is quite welcoming, and is much more appealing than the usual 2-inch bulletproof plexiglass that adorns most other Chinese takeout places. I dare say that they are just as good, if not better than, Kum Kao. read more

I ordered shrimp and broccoli and paid an extra $1.50 for them to add scallops. I got my food and there were no scallops in there. So i called up the restaurant and they had the NERVE to tell me I paid $1.50 for the little piece of scallop that I eventually found that is on my fork. They also had an attitude with me as if i got their order wrong. I'm super pissed because I really wanted some scallops and this ruined my whole night. Never ordering from here again. read more

Ordered from this restaurant all the way from Florida for my elderly grandmother in Brooklyn via the Yelp Delivery app. She wasn't pleased. When I called to see if she rec'vd her delivery she did. Asked how it was, she said the chicken wings were old like they were fried earlier today and lacked seasoning. The Sautéed Vegetables with Sauce was barely sautéed and the sauce had no flavor. I was disappointed. read more

Pretty standard American-Chinese spot. I order from here all the time, and it's really the only one in Lefferts Gardens that tastes good. Great take out joint. Get them delivered semi-frequently, foods always delicious, fresh and fast. Everything you could ask for.

It's your basic Chinese take-out joint and my go-to for LOTS of food for $7 or less that's ready in less than 10 mins since it's just around the corner from where I live. Out of everything I've tried so far, I like their Triple Delight and Beef & Broccoli. You also can't beat their lunch deals that include white or fried rice and a soda or egg roll along with your meal, all for the low low price of $5.75. Thank goodness for you, Hai Sun. read more
