I'm shocked by the numerous negative reviews regarding customer service and food freshness at this establishment, particularly since I've only had a great experience here. It's essential to note that this is not a high-end Asian fusion restaurant; instead, it serves classic Americanized Chinese comfort it's that food you want at 2 am and you're starving. Or it's the cozy comfort food when you just want to stay home in sweat pants and not care about your diet for just one day. My recent order, which cost around $28, consisted of vegetable lo mein plate with your choice of two appetizers: beef teriyaki skewers and an egg ro were mine. While I ordered that I asked them to make the egg roll well done because the last time I ordered one is was under cooked and a little greasy which of course meant it was a chewy,still eatabl and had I had an air fryer available it would have been 2 minutes to deliciously perfect. The lo mein was flavorful with a well-balanced sauce, while the beef teriyaki was tender and delicious. I also received two complimentary, perfectly cooked egg rolls as a nice little surprise for the mishap the last time I ordered. Additionally, I ordered crab rangoons, which had a well-balanced cream cheese and crab mixture. Unfortunately, my order was missing the chicken soup I was craving due to a sore throat. However, after contacting the restaurant, the manager promptly called me back, apologized for the mistake, and offered to deliver the soup quickly. It arrived within 20 minutes. Regarding complaints about requesting extra sauces, Im a saucy girl so I always ask for extra house made face melting mustard and duck sauce I see a few compliant about it being apple sauce it is not.It is however apple based.Duck sauce is usually made with apricots,plums or apples, it's true most places do use the apricot based.So they're not wrong in how they make their sauce it's just not the one you're accustomed to. The first time I ordered it I was a little confused myself because it was a little thicker. I googled duck sauce where they talked about the history of duck sauce and the differences between each variety of the sauce they had pictures and one looked exactly as the one from China Rama. So eveI have no issues with the amount of sauces I've always received four 2 oz containers of duck sauce and five 1 oz containers of hot mustard. I encourage others to keep an open mind and give this restaurant a try. They offer excellent, affordable comfort food, and I will continue to give them 5 stars. Plus 1 star for its ease of online ordering, where you don't have to sign up for an account. Plus 1 star for supporting local business. There are not a lot of (even Americanized) Chinese food options in this area. You have Shabu Lee and Panda Express. The menu is definitely trying to be Americanized Chinese food, but here are my opinions: 1. Crab Rangoon & Chicken Wings, definitely on the smaller side in terms of portion size. 2. Orange chicken. It is okay, probably decent. Sauce heavy. 4. Happy Family. It has the classic Americanized Chinese ingredients like baby corn and snow peas, but still just too sauce heavy. Crab Rangoon [7] - $5.75 Spicy Buffalo Wing [4] - $5.75 Happy Family - $13.95 Orange Tangerine Chicken - $11.25 For a meal that is $40 and we ended up splitting over three meals, I'd say the value was good. I like the online ordering system. You can choose the guest checkout option, and all you need is to verify your a code sent to your phone. It does not give you an online payment option, so either bring in cash or your credit card to pay in person. We've lived in Norwood for more than a few years, and from the beginning China Rama has been our go to place, so much so much so that our relatives in Canton and Westwood took our advice and ordered from here. Don't know what other reviewers are raving about. Spring rolls were disgusting and just an egg roll dipped in batter and fried again (this is NOT a spring roll). Ordered the Crab Rangoon because of all the positive reviews, there were just average...nothing to rave about here. Pancakes with the Moo Shi Pork were hard and stuck together, the Moo Shi was flavorless. The General Gao chicken was the only saving grace, the chicken was moist and fresh prepared, though overall taste was average. ABSOLUTELY AMAZING!! I knew I was in for a special treat when I spotted a little old almost run down looking place that was China Rama! Upon entering I was hit with an aroma that kind of smelled like an mixture of bitter melon and minced fish. I had to give this a try so I asked what the manager what that wonderful smell was! I ended up getting a seafood delight and a chicken wings and teriyaki chicken combo. The seafood was a pleasant surprise. The sauce was nice and thick and tasted like chicken. The chicken wings were nice and dry just the way I make them and the teriyaki chicken was decent as well. My favorite is probably the fried rice. It was nice and dark, almost kind of black. It had a nice crisp burnt taste and the texture was nice and hard. Will be back soon! I fully recommend it! read more

OH China Rama I love you so... you always make me smile when I take a bite into your chicken fingers with your pork fried rice on my plate as well. These are my hands down favorite chicken fingers ever!!! I always order the same thing... which are these two things on the menu. That's it. When I think Chinese Takeout, this is all I ever want to eat. The fiance loves the spare ribs and chicken wings. We order from here about every two months.
