I ordered for pick up. I arrive about 15 minutes later my order was ready. Hospitality and service was excellent.. from what I saw the restaurant was pleasant. I ordered the General Pao Chicken (medium spicy) this was delicious. It was covered in a sweet salty sauce. The chicken was crispy on the outside and tender on the end sorry.. very happy with proportion size. It came with a choice of fried rice or white rice. I had the fried rice, which was a good choice. The fried rice was moist, flavorful and tasted freshly made. Next, Combination Chow Mein. Beef, chicken and shrimp was very tender tossed in chow mein, brown sauce and vegetables. This was also delicious.! again the portion size was excellent. Overall, this restaurant hit the spot. I can't understand why this restaurant was empty. There was only one other guests eating on site. The food I had was excellent. Everyone should give this restaurant chance... you won't disappointed. read more

Just tried China Panda after putting it off due to the mixed reviews. I'm so bummed that we haven't been here sooner. We really aren't of the chow mein / general tso's chicken ordering types - so old school "Chinese" places are typically avoided. That said, we had a wonderful meal! I just have to say that we stuck with some standard dishes for our first visit - since this IS Idaho still. I started with hot & sour soup and my wife tried the crispy rice soup. Both were very good, and we were pleasantly surprised since most versions of hot & sour soup that I've tried since moving to Idaho have been rather disappointing. We then ordered the potstickers which were great. They were freshly made and we could clearly taste the ginger and pork in the filling. I've eaten plenty of potstickers in my life and these were memorable. We then ordered a bunch of dishes since we obviously needed to obtain a good sampling of the fare. We got the beef with snow peas - which I really enjoyed. My wife ordered the combination fried rice - which we thought was good but not great - having had slightly more flavorful versions in the past. The kung pao chicken was good to very good. Overall we were really pleased with our meal and intend to frequent China Panda more often. In future visits, I will definitely be ordering the hot & sour soup, potstickers, and beef with snow peas again! My wife relays that she would get the crispy rice soup and kung pao chicken again. I really do want to try some of their other dishes with our next visit. Will report back! P.S. Katie our server was great. We had such a nice conversation with her and she really took care of us! Thanks Katie! See you soon when we return. read more

Take out experience. The service was prompt and friendly. My meal was very good. I got the $15 lunch special with Mongolian beef and paid the extra $3 to upgrade to the vegetable chowmein. I also got the potsticker appetizer. The Mongolian beef was tender, the chowmein was really good. The potstickers were ok. My biggest issue was the takeout portion for the price. They put the Mongolian beef in its own styrofoam container so the sauce wouldn't make the crunchy noodles it is usually served over soggy. That container was then stuffed inside the takeout container with what seemed like a child sized portion of chowmein. The dine-in guests portions seemed very large. My lunch was $29 before tip, a little steep to be left feeling hungry in my opinion. But tasted great for what I had. read more

Issue with adding unapproved charges has been fixed and has not occurred in over a year. I am revising my review to give a higher star rating. Food is good for Chinese in a mountain town. We always get takeout and eat at home, so I cannot comment on the ambiance. The portions are large and the food is tasty. read more

We went into the restaurant, starved from a days journey in the mountains. Prepared for an authentic Chinese dining experience. When we entered the hostess let out a big sigh and said "right at the cutoff... well come on in I guess" Note this was at 8 Pm, which according to there website they close at 9:30PM. We then heard the two women working there talking about us poorly in the kitchen. We decided to leave and when we were sitting in our car out front, we could see the two workers staring and pointing at us. Very unfortunate experience. read more

For the price you pay it's what you get. It's not gonna be the best. It's good tho but you'll probably be on the toilet later. Service is great, super happy people and nice and friendly. Atmosphere is nice as well, very open and not really any privacy. But design inside is cool, and it's kinda relax/chill. I can't honestly describe it right. read more

We ordered a bunch of dishes. Second time in two weeks. We enjoyed the first time so much that we recruited other family to join in the feast. Most dishes were huge hits (Shrimp and Lobster dish, Sesame Chicken, Mushu, Fried Rice, Crispy green beans) while some were just OK (spring rolls, dumplings). The food tastes fresh and the prices are good. We'll definitely return. read more

Really good food and service! It's the first Chinese restaurant in Ketchum and has been there for decades! Was nice to enjoy the ambience of one of the original restaurants of Ketchum still operating! We enjoyed our food very much! read more

Nice service Yucky food Got chow menu with chicken. Was not very good at all Can't ever remember farting so much. Not my first time getting this meal. So not sure what deal was. Sorry guys. read more

Probably the best Chinese food I've ever had. It's funny that most Chinese restaurants have about 2.5-3 stars and I'm okay with it because it's greasy Chinese food and, when we are wanting a quick bite to eat in our room, Chinese is our goto option. This time around we we were smart and only ordered one entrée and two appetizers. We got egg rolls, pot stickers and chicken chow mein, all of which were exceptionally good. The chow mein, in particular, was fresh with lots of vegetables cooked just right. The egg rolls were made just the way I like them and they weren't greasy at all, which is sometimes the case with egg rolls. Next time we are in town China Panda will definitely be our stop for our in room meal. read more

I've ordered here a lot and has always been a fan of their food. I like to order their bundle for a single person because it gives me just the right amount I'm looking for. For the price, it's a good meal. read more

Service was great and food very tasty. I had sweet & sour pork and my husband had Peking Beef.

Man, did this hit the spot!!! Take out was right on time. Ordered the sesame chicken, beef chow mein, Mongolian beef, and egg drop soup. I have a crazy full belly. Also, I am half Asian and incredibly picky so maybe my opinion counts more? Just putting that out there.... read more

Was very good! Wouldn't say it was the best ever but was very pleased with it. My wife loved her vegetation options! I enjoyed the Mongolian beef more than orange chicken. I wish they had a location where we live! We will definitely go back! read more

Simply outstanding food at this family run restaurant! We had general's chicken, Mongolian beef, orange chicken and chicken chow mein and it was all excellent. Prices are absolutely reasonable. We took ours to go but plenty of space to eat inside. Well done! read more

Its okay, the drink options are crap and canned honestly mid is an over statement. Lots of these place manage to stay open because they dont have competition. If this place was anywhere else it wouldnt make it a year. read more

Love Panda. The mandarin chicken is so good. Also hot and sour soup yum yum. Very good potstickers. Very good good egg rolls.

My go to to go Chinese restaurant in town. Never a bad meal. Always on time. I recommend the bachelors dinner

I wish I could give less than one star. I could have microwaved a better meal. Easily. On top of that the women at the front forgot an app. I called and she said "oh yea I have them".. I called in my meal.. she could have called. Wasted gas for more microwave food. NEVER AGAIN! #local read more

Food was over cooked chicken was yellow small portions never again and nobody had masks on not even the cooks very bad would not recomend

Best kept secret in Ketchum! I had 4 servings in a span of 8 hours. I recommend dangling the chow mein directly over your mouth and slurping the noodles. read more

This was probably the worst customer service I have ever had. If I could give a big fat zero star review then I would. Ordered for delivery, was told that this would be delivered in 40-50 minutes. Order arrived in over an hour and a half. Order delivered was incorrect and when originally ordering I DOUBLE checked the order out loud to ensure accuracy. When trying to reorder the correct food, person on the phone continuously interrupted me. I then drove to get correct order because obviously this place is incompetent at delivery. After all this drama over Chinese food I was CHARGEd for the correct order of chow neon. Can not believe the service provided here. DO NOT eat here. Rude service and worse employees. read more

Really nice restaurant, best Chinese food in town. The food is fresh and taste really good. I recommend this place. read more

Love this hidden gem. Does not have the panasche of some other Ketchum asian restaurants but everything was wonderfully flavored and served in very large portions. We had the B combination and at $18.95/ person a bargain. read more

We've always had a great meal . We enjoy the sweet and sour chicken, Snow White chicken and three ingredients. We always can get a seat.

I won't be back. My expectations were not very high judging on the looks of the place. I'd say my meal fell below those very modest expectations. Plus the prices seem high even for a resort town. I'll try another place next time. read more

Came in on a business trip and had the BEST general's chicken of my life...who knew that Sun Valley, ID could have such good chinese food? Decor was a little dated, but the staff was super nice. I recommend this! read more

BEST Chinese food I've eaten in Idaho. Kids loved it, very authentic flavors. Tremendous, friendly service.

This is like a Chinese restaurant from many years ago. Think placemats with the Chinese zodiac, and forks (chopsticks on request) The restaurant is clean and quiet. Service was prompt and pleasant. We ordered Hoonan Tofu, Mu Shu Vegetables, Green Beans with Shrimp and Chicken, and the Black Pepper Beef. Black Pepper Beef was the best of the bunch. Vegetables were fresh and crunchy (not overcooked). Food portions are generous, with reasonable prices. This would be a great choice for takeout as well. read more

The food was not fresh. We ordered the family combo B. It was disgusting and overpriced.

If I could give it no stars, I would. It was absolutely terrible. The fried rice had no flavor whatsoever. Just sad.

orderd Mongolian beef..not very good...went there on a Saturday early evening and the place was empty..i travel a lot and know good from very mediocre..the Mongolian beef was very overpowered by some kind of soy based sauce..probably took in enough sodium to last me for a week or more..I'm not a mean reviewer..but was very unimpressed by the quality of food..not sure what recipes they use or if its frozen food they heat up and serve as dinner...my business partner ordered something different and said his was ok..but can only go by what i had..just saying..the white rice was good..but white rice cant cure an overpowering salty sauce with little flavor..the service was prompt but not overly enthusiastic..the place looked clean and all ok otherwise.. read more

Really yummy Chinese food and on those busy tourist nights you will always be able to find a table here.

The food here was terrible, the sweet and sour pork tasted like it was frozen then deep fried, it was as tough as jerky. Broccoli Beef tasted like meat from a can....and the chow mein had no flavor.....sad as its been several years since we've been here, it was so good sometime ago....what happened? read more

Two days ago I went to there order general chicken, the tast awful I think I never get back again!!!!!!
