Take out experience. The service was prompt and friendly. My meal was very good. I got the $15 lunch special with Mongolian beef and paid the extra $3 to upgrade to the vegetable chowmein. I also got the potsticker appetizer. The Mongolian beef was tender, the chowmein was really good. The potstickers were ok. My biggest issue was the takeout portion for the price. They put the Mongolian beef in its own styrofoam container so the sauce wouldn't make the crunchy noodles it is usually served over soggy. That container was then stuffed inside the takeout container with what seemed like a child sized portion of chowmein. The dine-in guests portions seemed very large. My lunch was $29 before tip, a little steep to be left feeling hungry in my opinion. But tasted great for what I had. read more

I ordered for pick up. I arrive about 15 minutes later my order was ready. Hospitality and service was excellent.. from what I saw the restaurant was pleasant. I ordered the General Pao Chicken (medium spicy) this was delicious. It was covered in a sweet salty sauce. The chicken was crispy on the outside and tender on the end sorry.. very happy with proportion size. It came with a choice of fried rice or white rice. I had the fried rice, which was a good choice. The fried rice was moist, flavorful and tasted freshly made. Next, Combination Chow Mein. Beef, chicken and shrimp was very tender tossed in chow mein, brown sauce and vegetables. This was also delicious.! again the portion size was excellent. Overall, this restaurant hit the spot. I can't understand why this restaurant was empty. There was only one other guests eating on site. The food I had was excellent. Everyone should give this restaurant chance... you won't disappointed. read more

Just tried China Panda after putting it off due to the mixed reviews. I'm so bummed that we haven't been here sooner. We really aren't of the chow mein / general tso's chicken ordering types - so old school "Chinese" places are typically avoided. That said, we had a wonderful meal! I just have to say that we stuck with some standard dishes for our first visit - since this IS Idaho still. I started with hot & sour soup and my wife tried the crispy rice soup. Both were very good, and we were pleasantly surprised since most versions of hot & sour soup that I've tried since moving to Idaho have been rather disappointing. We then ordered the potstickers which were great. They were freshly made and we could clearly taste the ginger and pork in the filling. I've eaten plenty of potstickers in my life and these were memorable. We then ordered a bunch of dishes since we obviously needed to obtain a good sampling of the fare. We got the beef with snow peas - which I really enjoyed. My wife ordered the combination fried rice - which we thought was good but not great - having had slightly more flavorful versions in the past. The kung pao chicken was good to very good. Overall we were really pleased with our meal and intend to frequent China Panda more often. In future visits, I will definitely be ordering the hot & sour soup, potstickers, and beef with snow peas again! My wife relays that she would get the crispy rice soup and kung pao chicken again. We went into the restaurant, starved from a days journey in the mountains. Prepared for an authentic Chinese dining experience. When we entered the hostess let out a big sigh and said "right at the cutoff... well come on in I guess" Note this was at 8 Pm, which according to there website they close at 9:30PM. We then heard the two women working there talking about us poorly in the kitchen. We ordered a bunch of dishes. Second time in two weeks. We enjoyed the first time so much that we recruited other family to join in the feast. Most dishes were huge hits (Shrimp and Lobster dish, Sesame Chicken, Mushu, Fried Rice, Crispy green beans) while some were just OK (spring rolls, dumplings). Probably the best Chinese food I've ever had. It's funny that most Chinese restaurants have about 2.5-3 stars and I'm okay with it because it's greasy Chinese food and, when we are wanting a quick bite to eat in our room, Chinese is our goto option. This time around we we were smart and only ordered one entrée and two appetizers. We got egg rolls, pot stickers and chicken chow mein, all of which were exceptionally good. The chow mein, in particular, was fresh with lots of vegetables cooked just right. The egg rolls were made just the way I like them and they weren't greasy at all, which is sometimes the case with egg rolls. Next time we are in town China Panda will definitely be our stop for our in room meal. read more

This was probably the worst customer service I have ever had. If I could give a big fat zero star review then I would. Ordered for delivery, was told that this would be delivered in 40-50 minutes. Order arrived in over an hour and a half. Order delivered was incorrect and when originally ordering I DOUBLE checked the order out loud to ensure accuracy. When trying to reorder the correct food, person on the phone continuously interrupted me. I then drove to get correct order because obviously this place is incompetent at delivery. This is like a Chinese restaurant from many years ago. Think placemats with the Chinese zodiac, and forks (chopsticks on request) The restaurant is clean and quiet. Service was prompt and pleasant. We ordered Hoonan Tofu, Mu Shu Vegetables, Green Beans with Shrimp and Chicken, and the Black Pepper Beef. Black Pepper Beef was the best of the bunch. Vegetables were fresh and crunchy (not overcooked). Food portions are generous, with reasonable prices. This would be a great choice for takeout as well. read more
