Hole in the wall.. Sorry, but I will not be going here again. The food was not good at all. I was very disappointed. I was excited to try it considering I love Chinese food but this was just terrible. My son got sick from eating it to; he had the beef fried rice. Poor kid was throwing up. I've ordered take out for over 3 years now and have never been disappointed in the food taste or quality! In the beginning I also got some rude tones from staff but honestly it was only once and ever since then I find them to be very friendly. This is my go to place! The food is always fresh , delicious and so filling! There is always lots of meat in the chow mein and rice, it's a really good meal for a really good price! The staff is so friendly and kind, I love that they provide a home cooked meal that is always consistent and flavorful! Very nasty place. They lie and yell at customers who are placing simple orders. Maybe I was there on an off day but I swear I also saw a cook spit in my food which is totally over the line. Food was ok, service was horrible! To start the greeting was very cold and unwelcoming. I know it was because they were getting ready to close, but if that is the case, turn your sign off and no one will bother you. Yesterday I bought $35 of food plus tip they only gave me one hot sauce, come on I'm Mexican. I asked the lady if I could have more she rolled her eyes at me and give it to me with a bad attitude. We go here all the time. Owner is nice and loves her regulars. Her lemon chicken is killer and my children cannot get enough of the chow mein. My one discrepancy is I wish they would deep clean the place. They need some major scrubbing of tables. Other than that, no complaints! read more

This is a prime example of convenience and price outweighing quality. It's practically next door and it's cheap so I find myself calling for take out a few times a month. It's cheap and it hits the spot when necessary but I do (lovingly) refer to it as "Shitty Chinese". It's become somewhat of a Sunday night tradition - DH and SC do go hand in hand. It's not so "shitty" that I stop eating there but in a town of only 1800 people and 8 restaurants what are you going to do when you are too damn lazy to travel afar (a whole 4 miles to the next town!) To be fair I do enjoy the BBQ pork, egg rolls and potstickers and I find the Szechwan dishes to be better than the Gen Tao or Kung Pao. The latter two have the little chili pepper next to them but don't actually qualify as spicy in my book. Also, when I ride my bike to pick up my order, as I typically do weather permitting, I have to bring my own plastic grocery bag because they only use brown bags - not so conducive for bike transport. But at least I'm recycling! Also, one order typically garnishes two meals (although the second is a little short on rice) so if I know I'm going to be too busy on Monday to grab lunch it works out well. In short, if you are looking for a fabulous food experience, this isn't the Chinese restaurant for you. You'd want to make the trek to Ketchum and visit either Panda or Golden Palace where both the food and ambiance is much better (and of course pricier). If you just need some quick cheap takeout and aren't looking for a gourmet experience, this just might do the trick. read more

Fast and inexpensive lunch, the price and convenience are a good value. We order spicy garlic chicken every Tuesday, I always get extra spicy, they know us by name and expect us every week. This is a great place for workweek lunch to stay in budget and still fill the belly! read more

I think the prior reviews are a bit unfair. A nice ambience has no correlation with the quality if the food. It's a nice mom and pop restaurant in a very bland setting. I think it compares favorably with anything in Ketchum or Twin Falls for food quality. read more

My girlfriend and I both ordered shrimp chow mein, it was a dead dish , we received a big bowl of mush. The noodles were smothered with too much sesame seed oil and soy sauce. We were hungry and they were open. Huge menu with all my favorites but unfortunately there was no flavor found here. We won't be going back. My husband ordered the pork with sesame seeds as an appetizer and it was extremely dry. The mooshi pork was awful. My family and I adore this restaurant and usually eat there at least once when we stay for a weekend. Authentic Chinese food at its best. Their dishes are all excellent, my favorites being their sesame chicken and their chicken chow mein. Their atmosphere is a little lacking, but the service is good. Called in a order of sweet and sour shrimp, it was ready in 10 minutes for me to pick up which was nice. When I got my food they put steamed white rice in one box, fried shrimp in another box and then a box full of sweet and sour sauce! I thought that was a little odd but I went ahead and mixed the shrimp with the sauce and the shrimp tasted really funky, almost old. I couldn't finish the meal because of how odd the shrimp tasted. I don't think I will be ordering from here again sadly. read more

This is a quiet little Chinese restaurant.. me and my friends wanted a place to go for lunch and wanted Chinese but couldn't go all the way to ketchum. so we found the silver dragon. the food was OK it wasn't great but it was fast and what we wanted. i haven't been back since because i thought it was to much to pay and not that much food, and not that good either. i would recommend this place to people who want Chinese and want it fast. i think its to overpriced for what you get and isn't worth it, and the food that you get isn't great. read more
