I ordered honey walnut shrimp, sauce on the side, and pork-fried rice, to go. The shrimp looked like it had either been sitting out all day or had been previously freezer-burned. The sauce was supposed to be warm but it was cold with the consistency of jello. The rice had 2 pieces of green onion and one sliver of pork. They charged me $20 for that. I threw it out. ABSOLUTELY AMAZING! My family lives in Jerome and every year when I visit them, I have to go to China Village! The food there is spectacular. They have a mix of American food and Chinese food. The service is great and the meal size is bigger than you can imagine. My absolute favorite dish to order is the MONGOLIAN BEEF. I live in New York City where there is any type of food you can wish and have but all the Asian restaurants I have tried with Mongolian beef cannot compare to the one in China Village. Every time I'm craving Mongolian beef, I cannot get rid of the crave until I slowly forget about it. I just wish there was a China village in New York City. The proportion size of the food is incredible, especially with the non-expensive price. When compared to the proportion size of the food I get in New York and the price I pay, its like comparing a king size bed with a queen size. I love New York's diverse food but some of the dishes from China Village are so rare to find in New York. Their take-out and delivery is fast. The salad bar is not as big as a buffet but has everything a buffet would have. And when I asked for the brand of their thousand island dressing, they told me it was home made! I could not believe it. Every time I have a salad now, I always think about that home made thousand island dressing. Overall, service was good and the food was amazing! I cannot adequately describe my disdain for this place. Oh. My. Word. Never, ever have I gone into a dirtier, more rundown restaurant. I'm honestly shocked by the other reviews- I double checked the address just to be sure we were talking about the same place. It smells like feet and something else I can't quite put my finger on, and would probably contract some sort of illness if I did. Then came the food. The chicken chow main was.... My husband and I are from Twin. We wanted to try something different, so we headed to Jerome. We found this restaurant on Yelp. We arrived forty five minutes before closing. We were able to sit back and enjoy our meal without feeling rushed. And enjoy it we did! The food was AMAZING! Besides the family meals, everything was priced between 6.95 to 9.50. The portions are HUGE! We ordered three entrees so that we could taste some different thing and ended up with two full meals to take home. It was better than anything in Twin. Believe me, we have been to every Chinese restaurant in Twin. The lo mein had a great sauce. The spicy Mongolian beef was full of flavor. We met with the owner, Mrs. Hong, which means red . She purchased the restaurant a year and a half ago with her husband. She was so friendly and easy to approach. My husband and I will for sure be going to back. I've been staying in Jerome at a local motel. My first order I ordered online and it was flawless, quick delivery and pretty good food and gave a great tip. Couple nights later I ordered the same way, but different items. It's been a hour and a half and nothing, no call or food at my door. Stopped in on a Friday night for dinner on our way to Boise. Don't let the outside deter you. The food was great and Deborah was a delight. Egg flower soup was possibly the best we've ever had. I swear I posted this already, but for some reason it didn't take. By the way, anyone who says this place is good, probably considers ramen out of a cup is manna sent from heaven. Holy Crap, this food was pathetic, and soggy. I've moved to the magic valley from Utah a little more than a year ago. Chinese food down there was competitive and good. Since moving up here I tried the China Garden next to Ridley's, and while not as good as in Utah, it was still decent. So we decided to try this place to compare. The prices were more expensive, but the portions were larger. We ordered the sesame chicken and the hong kong chow mein. The whole meal was soggy as if it was boiled instead of fried/pan fried. The sesame chicken was boring, and the hong kong chow mein looks like they threw previously boiled beef strips with prepackaged vegitables from the super market. It claimed to have pan fried noodles in it, but I couldn't find the noodles until I ate most of the beef. When I finally got to the noodles, they seem nothing more than a slab of cheap ramen noodles. I also bought the wontons and the egg roll. The wontons had a centimeter sphere of meat in about 4 inches of tortilla, then deepfried until it became brick-like. They were so tough with so little meat that I had to toss the rest. The egg-roll was large, but also soggy. How everything becomes soggy, I don't really know (though with the wontons I wish they were soggier, that way I could actually bite through them). I should have known this was going to be bad when the waitress yelled back at the chef to not burn the pork this time. Overall, the meal was pathetic, and we tossed the left-overs instead of saving them for later, which we have never done before. Don't waste your time here, there is a reason why no was there when I went at 6:00 on a Saturday Night. But I do have to say, it was very clean. read more

We got an order to go. I ordered there and they were very quick and nice. The food was as expected and the portions big, but DON'T use the packets of soy sauce. It was a brand I've never seen before and it was all salt. There was no soy flavor and once I had poured it all over my fried rice (and my wife did the same) it was inedible. They need to spend the extra pennies for Kikkoman so you can use the soy sauce. I'd still go back, just carry my own soy sauce packets. read more
