Shrimp foo young
L V.

I like their food.. it always comes out hot and fresh.... I'm a fan of their egg drop soup as well.. nice and thick with lumps of egg and it actually has flavor! ... when I went, I got the egg foo young.. (as you can see from the photo) it was actually a LOT of food compacted into that one cake, the presentation was nice and it tasted great. The 2 stars missing I based on the service... they aren't that friendly (the older Chinese lady) Victoria is nice though. if you get her you'll have a good night. The California valley girls that greet you when you come in are always friendly too.

The happiest bartender in the world makes the best Mai Tai's anywhere on Cape!

Want the best Mai Thai on Cape? Look no further. Want to go nuts with a Scorpion bowl for one or two? Belly up and knock 'em down. (In the center of the scorpion bowl there is a hollow that they will put Bacardi 151%, but you have to ask.) Good "Chinese" food. Boneless or Bone-in ribs are great, Crab Rangoons are good as well. This place has the brown, appley tasting dipping sauce so it's up to you if you want it or not. I have never sat on the restaurant side but there really is no need as the bar side has ample table space as well as a clean bar. They did lose their liquor license a few months back, but it was probably due to serving minors rather than any food violations. (not that serving minors is ok, but at least no one found a rat in their chow mien.) Sandwich is a small "townie" place so the young en's don't have much to do most evenings.

Simply the best in the area. Try their mai tais and chicken friend rice to die for. You won't find better over the bridges.

Mai tai. Too sweet

I come here occasionally for drinks as Asia palace behind this place doesn't serve alcohol and is mostly takeout. This place is clean and service is just ok. Typical Chinese/American generic food. I usually have the vegetables with white rice which is pretty good. The mai tai was a bit too sweet as I like mine a bit sour. Three stars for serving drinks. Update: went here today and again mai tai was good but sweeter than most. But the luncheon special was better than other times food wasn't too greasy. Pleasantly surprised.

Great food, great service, great atmosphere. The only problem is the owner seems to never smile. But the staff is very friendly and the food Is always delicious!! I tried the hun noodles and they were so good!

Food and drinks were just horrible. Don't waste your time. The food was so bland I needed to add so much soy sauce to make it barley edible.

Mind you granniehudsoneatsout is reviewing based on 2 things! I just moved here from Hudson,…read moreleaving my Lotus Blossom in Sudbury behind... WAAA, BAWL, WAIL. Walked out of a fantastic yoga class at Centerville Yoga and went over to find an eggroll. After reading all the reviews, I figured, what could the harm be. Let's try the eggroll and take it from there. Many years (1980's) there was a Chinese restaurant in Shrewsbury, before it was the gross Chumlees (defunct, THANK GOODNESS!). They had THE BEST eggrolls I had ever had. As much as I love Lotus Blossom, their eggrolls are good, but never THOSE. So, I walk into GHZR and ask for a large order (=2) eggrolls. And steamed peking ravioli (AH HOW I MISS MARLBOROUGHS China Taste, an unfortunate victim of Covid, who had ALMOST perfect eggrolls and the best peking ravioli, the ones my toddler grew into a teen eating...). One of the owners was so cute when she said "Our eggrolls are ok. Eggrolls are one of those things that people have one they love and then they get that one stuck in their heads forever. And our peking ravioli are good, but maybe not the best you've had. I will give you the best ginger sauce. Mine is better than my uncles!"... Out came my order to go and out I went. Into the car. Hungry. Pulled it out. Munched on it. AND ANGELS SANG! What are you talking about girl? YOU GOT IT NAILED! If I eat nothing else from your place, it will only be eggrolls and you will still get a 5 star review from me. NAILED IT. Ravioli? Meaty, not salty, doughy, and delicious. I think I found my new Chinese crave joint, only 6 minutes from my house! REDEMPTION for moving so dang far away from my always Hudson. THANK YOU GUYS!

Met up with friends here and had a lovely shared meal. We opted to order 'family style' and shared…read morea variety of dishes. We started with a pot of tea which was very nice. We asked for waters as well and let the waiter, who was always available, know when we needed a refill. Everything we ordered was tasty, fresh, well prepared and nicely presented. I had expected a bit more spice on some of the dishes, but they were all very mild, so if you are worried about Sichuan spiciness or heat, you can put that worry to rest. Chopsticks only are at the table and although we didn't ask for forks, I suspect they could rustle some up for you if needed. The hot & sour soup is good according to my SO who gets it everywhere (and will let me know if it's a thumbs up or down). The décor is lovely and everything is clean, including the gender neutral restroom. The staff we encountered were all very pleasant and service was excellent. They did a good amount of take out business during our visit. Free on-street parking was easy to find during our week day lunch visit.

Also got an egg drop soup. Food was ready when we got there, service was good All the food was good, General Tso and the 3 cup chicken were stand outs. Could taste all the flavors in the 3 cup, really good. General tso was good but not too spicy. Fried rice was solid. All in all, an excellent meal

I have never had a bad meal here, and I always try to be adventurous and try something new each time. With that being said, I always get an order of the Chongqing diced chicken. It is one of my fave dishes of all time (be warned, it is SPICY. Not for the faint of heart). The sauteed pig intestine with chili is another fave of mine. The dining area is spacious and cute, and the staff here is always incredibly nice and knowledgeable. Very helpful when there is a lot of dishes you might not be familiar with ! Chengdu is a must try if you are in the Smith Hill area of Providence. In fact , it's worth a trip to Smith Hill all on it's own.

I wanted something different for dinner and this place has been on my list to visit for a while…read more There were plenty of parking spaces to choose from. When we went inside, there was only one other party there and no music, so just whispers and the sounds of utensils against plates. There are about 4-5 booths and 1-2 regular tables to choose from. Since l am not familiar with Sichuan cuisine, I had Al help me choose my dishes. I went with the dumplings in chili sauce, fried rice, eggplant in garlic sauce, and chongquin chicken. While we waited, we were given water. The dishes came out at different times. They first served us the dumplings which were really good. The sauce they were in did have some chili sauce, but it was mostly like a sweet soy sauce and really tasty. It came with about 6 dumplings with a perfectly cooked wrapper and filled with flavorful pork - simple but delicious. Next was the eggplant. I was expecting a heavy garlic presence, but it was more like a sweet and sour sauce. The eggplant was very tender, but really hot so we had to wait to let it cool down a bit. The rice came after. I honestly think this was one of my favorite dishes since it was perfectly cooked, great flavor, and good portion. Lastly, the chicken came out. There was a large pile of chicken, but half of it was peppers. The chicken was cut into little bite sized pieces, each fried perfectly. Some pieces were more tongue numbing than others but it was nothing aggressive; very gentle and comfortable numb. I would have liked if there were music, but the no music was fine too; an escape from chaotic reality. Our total was around $50, which wasn't bad for the amount of food we got. I would come back to try other items.
