I was visiting family in Florida and my First time there food was really good I would visit again A+ also they have the best Krab Rangoon.

Came here on a Sunday with my parents who were visiting and my husband. We ordered at the cash register and sat ourselves. It was empty when we got there but got busy soon after. My parents ordered the special fried rice with ribs, I got the pad Thai, and my husband got chicken lo mein. We got crab ragoons as apps and they were so good. 8 to an order too! The fried rice was burned with dark brown rice, prob was sitting there all day. My pad Thai was mild spice and tasty and so was the lo mein. I honestly don't know why there are so many bad reviews. I go to this place all the time and I can honestly say the food is consistent super fresh and hot every time I've placed an order everything seems to be an order. I think one time they might've forgot a white rice, but that's not a big deal. I've been to a lot of different takeout places. This is my top one. read more

I'm not big on eating out of a styrofoam container when the restaurant offers indoor seating. But I gave this place a try anyway. Had the "Hunan Chicken", and I don't recommend it. It was unlike any other dish by the same name I've ever had, and I've had A LOT! To be honest, the chicken slices and sauce were flavorful enough, but the chunks of undercooked onion and broccoli were tough to get through. The oily consistency coated my entire mouth for quite a while after I finished. They also got my orse wrong, giving my fried rice instead of steamed...a bit of a pet peeve of mine! Let me start with saying I ordered through uber eats. Props to my driver for getting me the food quickly as it was still piping hot when I received it. Let's get into the food: The plain lo mein was delicious and a huge portion. The Egg foo young sauce was a peanut buttery bliss that I dunked everything I could into. Homemade duck sauce was way better than the packets. Krab rangoons absorbed a little too much oil, but were still really good as they were not overpowered by onion (I hate onion lol). I was a fan of "China Gourmet" The food was tasty and the portions were modest. Overnight I ordered and found that the food was packaged in different containers, the portions were not the same. I got my Chicken Lo-mein with tons of noodles and bits of Chicken. Disliked the taste. Got my bank statement and noticed the amount taken out was for China Palace NOT China Gourmet! Ok, I don't know if this place is under new management, has changed sourcing or recipes or just decided to start putting in more effort, but damn if my last order wasn't absolutely fantastic! As Naples Chinese take out goes, China Palace has been pretty par to sub par for a while. Edible, conveniently located, but that's about it. A "better eat it hot, because the leftovers are going to be awful" kind of place. The other day I had a craving for some lo mein, egg foo young, Rangoon, and orange chicken, so I stopped by. I couldn't believe how much improved everything was! Great flavor, obviously better quality ingredients, and way less late evening Chinese take out regret (if you get my meaning). And the best part? I was still thinking about how great everything was the next day, and was shocked to find that the leftovers still tasted fresh for lunch! I ordered food from Uber eats. The delivery way and quick. However, the food was awful. The 2 for 1 egg rolls were clearly reheated se wrap times. Our order was incorrect, served in a to go plastic container. I paid $40 for this and it was terrible! Shame on you! read more

Good if you pick it up fresh and hot, love the Szechuan tofu. Beware though, the Szechuan beef is good but has almost no meat in it, mostly peppers and onions. Also, their chow mein does not have noodles. If you want noodles, order lo mein. read more

The food is very good if not excellent. Food is always cooked fresh and taste super delicious! Service is always pleasant and friendly. They are so busy that they only do take out orders only. No delivery but one can do appointments for catering service for a large family gathering or family celebration. People place there orders by phone, online if server is working or walk in. Time is 10 to 15 minute waiting time. They do offer chairs to sit and orders are prepared under 15 minutes. The Chinese Restaurant is popular for the local community and during my visits to Golden Gates community in Naples, FL. By far, one of my favorites hands down. 2 and a half years traveling back and forth to Naples to visit family, this is one of my favorites. People enjoy a nice quiet restaurant and are always asked if they would like a drink while they wait for their orders. Place is clean, fast paced restaurant which is always seen people entering and picking up their food. The cooks are non stop working preparing food as the call volume is high each and every day. From EMS personnel to Fire and police always are seen daily to pick up their food. The Asian American manager/register gentleman is super smart, efficient and knows how many orders he has ready or about to be ready. Great work system in place and the locals love it. Very surprised at some reviews which in my review years never encountered bad food, or anything to truly report. I am very picky but always fair to the store or restaurant that I am placing a review. Again, by far exceeds my expectations and love for fresh real tasty Chinese food. If you love orange chicken, this meal also is excellent. Horrible! Not only was the lady at the counter rude by asking me why I wasn't leaving a tip for my take out order but the food was horrible. Soup was oily and beef was 90% onions, green peppers and 10% beef. During a pandemic when many are unemployed and counting pennies, when restaurants should be fighting for our business by providing great food and outstanding customer service this place falls well short. We live only a short distance from this restaurant and as we like Chinese food we were glad this restaurant is close by. We have ordered take out only three times so I guess this review might not carry much weight. However, the first time we picked up an order for home I would say the meals were, at best, "ok". Nothing to write home about. We were both disappointed with the second time we ordered and called the restaurant to express our dissatisfaction. The one meal was to include two shrimps. Turned out one was regular size and the other one was only a piece of a shrimp; the size of a peanut. The Hot and Sour soup was terrible. We figured we would not order that meal again. Today we gave it another chance (too lazy to cook). Part of the order was House Special Wonton soup. It consisted of four wontons and the liquid had the consistency of thick liquid chicken fat. It stuck to the spoon. It was not edible so we ate the wontons and dumped the "soup". The other part of the order was Chicken Szechuan. Our favorite. It was barely edible. We ate a portion each and threw the rest away. No. We didn't bother to call the restaurant. The last time we called they gave only excuses about the shrimp so I don't see the point. It is okay. Not great. Not bad. Most of these fast food Chinese places probably order in bulk from the same supplier and have it prepared for lunch/dinner. Fry some stuff, microwave some others, throw the rest in a Wok with some spices. It is good to grab the "typical" food. And should taste about the same as the millions of others that are in most malls that have an anchor store (like Publix). Quick food, okay. Reasonable prices. Have ordered food from this restaurant many times. The last several times the food seems to be cooked with old grease and had a slight odor and taste. I overlook the Unhappy people at the front counter when you go in to pick up your food they definitely act as if they did not want to be there or you're putting them out. Just ordered shrimp with cashew nut with rice and egg roll, very disappointed. The dish had tons of raw chopped up celery and raw carrots ans the sauce tasted awful. It had fishy tasting shrimp and a few cashews. The egg rolls were equally awful and serving awful duck sauce and not good sweet sauce. Went in for some Chinese food and I waited on the side of the counter for my food like anyone would do. I witnessed the cook drop a container on the floor open side up and pick it up off the filthy floor and fill it with food. The lady owner sees him do that and says nothing. Stop telling people 20 minutes. Just tell them up to one hour. It's not a big deal. But to have us all waiting here is crazy by definition. This has happened several times and yes I came even later. I placed an order for $50.40 worth of food from this establishment. I picked up the order and took it home. Upon arriving home, I observed that almost all the food was not cooked at all. I contacted them and they advised me to return the food. I returned the food as requested and was told that I was lying and that there was something fishy going on here. They advised me they would refund my money, but low and behold wound up charging my credit card another $50.40 and then when I advised them of this, they told me to contact the police. I have been going here since it opened, so I do not understand the current customer service that I received, however I will say, I will never go there again and will advise others of the same.
