Me and my family were snowed in today so we decided to try some place that delivers. Our regular Chinese Take outs have lost our royalties, so we were trying to find a new spot. Came across China Moon on GH and decided to give them a try. Ordering thru the phone was a breeze which was a relief since the female cashier can speak English pretty well(at least that's what it seem like today). We order scallion pancake, fried pork dumplings, egg drop soup, hot and sour soup, pizza rolls, steak rolls, shrimp with broccoli, and lobster egg foo young. Let's start with the appetizers, I hate their scallion pancake bc it taste like pure dough, what happen to scallions? Fried pork dumplings were ok, by the way they look like deep-fried. The pizza rolls were over-cooked and the cheese steak rolls were too thick on the skin part. I didn't like the egg drop soup as I had better elsewhere. And the hot and sour soup I have to add soy sauce for more flavor. Entrees wise, hub didn't like his shrimp with broccoli too much. I didn't like my lobster egg foo young either bc those 3 patties were over-cooked as well. We have order a extra side of brown sauce, don't know what's the problem but that is the NASTIEST brown sauce we ever taste. You know what's funny? Shrimp with broccoli were sautéed in brown sauce. But the sauce in shrimp with broccoli and the sauce i bought is totally different. I specifically told the cashier to tell the driver to call when he is out front. Me and my hub were upstairs, luckily my little one came upstairs and told us delivery is knocking on the door. Couldn't follow customers directions? This is the second time trying this location. Only this time I actually taste the food. With this business reopening die to Covid I do not think they were prepared. Just a few days ago I went in to order takeout and the employee was very busy. Phone ringing off the hook w him not answering. He had too many tickets to fulfill with no help. It's only one person working at the moment which isn't enough to deal with a rush. When I tried ordering I was told "its too busy come back in an hour" that was definitely not I wanted to hear. I recently returned soon the business opened for the day and finally could order. The food was great flavor was definitely memorable. The only thing I didn't care for was their fried rice I've had better but everything else taste very good. I'll return hopefully with better service read more

My fiancé ordered shrimp rolls, shrimp fried rice and general Tso's shrimp last night. Flavor wise the shrimp rolls were OK, the shrimp wasn't terrible but the rice was HORRIBLE and completely undercooked- no joke the rice wasn't fully cooked at all. It is hit or miss with takeout in general, so we decided to never order from this place again based of the quality of the food. Flash forward to this morning, my fiancé and father woke up with cramping stomach pains and some other unpleasant symptoms and they are both so incredibly sick to their stomach. So this place is delicious. The steamed dumplings are thinner and not as doughy as most places. This is my favorite part of chinese dinners. The wonton soup was good and the fires rice was perfect. Now I have picked it up every time and it's a family affair. Kids in the lobby / table area. Every time I went in I had to stand there awkwardly until the women realized I was there. ordered chicken and broccoli with pork fried rice and sweet and sour chicken with white rice. it was the worst Chinese I've tasted ever. no flavor. hard rice. The sauce was pretty much just water. The peas in the rice were hard too. plus the restaurant is dirty. sticky floors and tables. I highly don't recommend and wouldn't waste my money. better off going to new China which has bad food too. read more

Really disappointed. After reading positive reviews from this joint I decided to give it a try. Ordered steamed chicken and snow peas with sauce on the side and a chinese pizza. Delivery. The Chinese pizza wasn't too bad, but it was soggy from being packed in a styrofoam container. I threw the slices on a frying pan and crisped them up a bit. The steamed chicken with snow peas should have been called steamed snow peas with chicken. There was a disappointing amount of chicken in there.. The brown sauce was absolutely disgusting. It was real watery, and tasted VERY strange.. Like vinegar or some kind of detergent. I'm REALLY glad it was on the side, because I had to toss half of the dish that I had poured sauce on. The rest of the veggies and couple pieces of chicken I drizzled with some soy sauce. It was edible. Sorry, China Moon. I will NOT be a returning customer. :( read more

Tried this place based on reviews. We are currently looking for a new Chinese place since our favorite closed down. It wasn't horrible or bad, but it wasn't great either. We ordered Wonton soup, broccoli chx combination platter, and sesame chicken combination platter. My white rice was little bland. My husband said his pork fried rice was a little bland. I loved the wonton soup. My broccoli was crunchy... the way I like it. The sauce was good. Chicken wasn't the best quality I've had for a Chinese place. We are still in pursuit of a good Chinese place, but I guess this is one of the better places we have tried. The search is still on. read more

Ordered from China Moon on Mother's Day and the food was delicious. I ordered chicken lo mein, chinese pizza, pizza rolls, and teriyaki chicken. The lo mein was great, pleased it included baby bok choy, the chinese pizza was crispy, light, and fluffy, and teriyaki chicken was all white meat, no fat, and the sauce on it wasn't too sweet, just right. I order from China Moon at least once a week and the food is always delicious. The people who run the place are really friendly and the delivery is quick. They provide all the standard American Chinese take-out fare, but I've had others in the area and China Moon trumps them in taste and price. They have great lunch specials too, soda, egg roll and entree for under 6 bucks. Sure they never tell you how long your food will take to be ready or tell you how much it is. And sure the heat doesn't work in the store but I think it adds to the charm of the place. read more

I have been ordering from this place for years. Their food is delicious, the staff is polite and delivery is quick. I have personally been to the restaurant and they are clean as well. What I love is how flexible they are with the dishes. They will substitute whatever you like. For example, I get the shrimp lo mein with extra shrimp. But I ask them to add mushrooms, broccoli and make it extra spicy. It is soooooo good. The garlic chicken wings and barbecue chicken wings are delicious. And my husband and I have a new favorite, the bourbon chicken combination platter. My husband gets the pork fried rice, I get the brown rice with it. Oh so good. And if you have a cold, get a quart of the chicken noodle soup. The broth does wonders, and when you get your appetite back, you can eat the noodles. I put siracha in mines. General tso and sesame chicken are are never fresh. They are always heavily sauced up to hide the extremely hard chicken that could break your teeth and always get stuck in your teeth. The only fresh general tso chicken I've had is at Manor buffet. Their general tso chicken is soft and chewable like chicken should be. However ever Chinese restaurant I have ate at had the same hard extremely dry general tso chicken. Beware!!! read more

So, I sent an order on Friday Sept 21 around 9pm for a delivery to my house through the yelp app. After I sent my order through, a page appeared that said "Your food will arrive at 11am on Tuesday Sept 25" and was changed to my account immediately. I called the store to tell them that I wanted my food friday night, not tuesday. When I called I was sent to a voice mail stating that they were closed until tuesday morning and it hung up. This morning (tuesday) I received 4 phone calls, waking me, to this man saying my chinese food is here. I told him that I didn't want it because it was ordered Friday and that I want my $13 back. They said "You have to go through yelp" and hung up on me. When I called yelp, they stated they couldn't replace my money because China Moon already made the food and sent it out (yelp did give me a $15 promo card) but that being besides the point, when ordering they had no warnings about them being closed until tuesday and that any orders that we're sent through wouldn't be coming until tuesday. I'm so dissatisfied with how the store handled this situation and refused to give me my money back based on a mistake they made. I will not be ordering again. read more

The combination platters are a great deal. I love that they give you a choice of soups, because I love the hot 'n sour soup - very spicy! The sesame chicken is very good, nice and crispy and covered in sauce. This is my go-to take out Chinese food place in the NE. read more
