Chicken fried rice

The wait was terrible but the food was even worse. We ordered $50 worth of food through Uber eats and threw it all away. The chicken in the chicken fried rice was literally white (check the picture) not to mention the smell. Didn't even feel comfortable feeding the chicken to our dogs. Would not recommend to anybody!

Fried rice VS fried rice (2)

Ordered off of Uber eats. I hate leaving negative reviews. That being said, this is hands down the worst Chinese food I've ever had.The sesame chicken is dry. The Mu Shu pork is nothing but cabbage. There are two different fried rices to order, one being more expensive and they're the exact same--either way, they were absolutely terrible. Crunchy rice with no flavor. Will never order from here again.

Mongolian Chicken

Ordered Mongolian chicken without onions. But received the meal with extra onions and a small amount of chicken. The egg roll was soggy and they were out of the duck sauce. I will not be going back.

Crab Rangoon, Sesame Chicken, Egg Drop Soup, Fried Rice

This was a solid restaurant. The sesame chicken was decent. The crab Rangoon a were as well. I may have been tempted to leave three stars, but the egg drop soup was incredibly good... thick and rich and full of flavor. It was also a bit more expensive than I was expecting. They also included the little fried crisps/chips that you put in the soup. I'll definitely be back to try more of the menu. Keep up the great work!!

Kung Pao Chicken

WOW. What a delicious lunch! In the area craving Chinese and searched. So glad we found this place!! Unassuming location next to Kroger but clean and spotless. We ordered and within a reasonable amount of time our food came. It was very obviously prepared to order and SO delicious! Served on china plates, such a nice touch! Great service, very friendly! The Kung Pao chicken was literally the best I have ever tasted, nice kick in the spice and the chicken perfectly cooked.my daughter had the sesame chicken and she said it was delicious. What a wonderful surprise!! We have found our new favorite Chinese place!

Fried wonton is literally egg roll wrapping and that's it. It must be high end special here for $5.

Gotta be kidding me. I thought I was back in San Francisco with these prices. THIS IS Chinese food people, this is not sushi or PF Changs high-end Chinese and still there is no such thing. It's all the same. $10 for fried rice. $10 for chow mein, by the time you've gotten your carbs and protein dish your already hitting close to $50. The portions has to be the smallest I ever seen. They use little small cute containers and not the average white to go boxes we are use too. Even the portions in California double the size. Food was okay but your better off at getting a 3 item plate at Panda Express under $10 just as good. My bill delivered for Fried rice, lo mein, and some chicken wings..... $40. You got money to blow come here, I got morgage payments.

Visited Barleygarden 3 times now and I can conclude some pretty stark conclusions:…read more Beer is great! They have abuse and an awesome selection of beer. If this is all you will enjoy here - this is a 5-star establishment. Location in Avalon is another strong point of this establishment. Super convenient, although small. Food - is just not good. If you are drunk - then it is all right, otherwise it just doesn't cut it. I had hot dog - and I must say $1.50 Costco hot dog is way better. Wings - below average. Chicken tenders - the same. Fries are probably the best thing here. Service - just terrible. Outside of bartenders who are pretty happy and funny, the rest of service is hit or miss. First time I visited was awful. Second time around I had to walk up to server to place an order and ended up getting wrong beer multiple times on refills (how is getting the same refill a problem?). So 3-stars for this review is me being generous on account of great beer. I will however never order food here again.

These are clearly marked so there are no surprises. They are generous with whatever toppings are requested. Ask for more of what you like. They do not weigh the salads they combine for you. They sell by container. Fill it as you will. I've seen people take advantage to the point where the container will barely close but the server just smiles. It must even out. By the time it delivered the cost was way high! I guess maybe it is better to eat in. I mean it's a salad... the main component is still lettuce... but honestly if I had one complaint it was that there was not enough lettuce. I guess I loaded it up with so much stuff there was less room for lettuce? In the end it was a great tasting salad... fresh, loaded, and fantastic.. just a bit on the pricy side especially once delivered. But next I'm time I'll just go and eat there!

The menu feels a bit more streamlined than I remember from the original location, though the core dishes are still there. It will be interesting to see how the restaurant evolves under the current management. Regardless, the food consistently tastes authentic and well prepared. Service has always been pleasant and efficient during my visits, which makes the experience even better. Parking can occasionally be tricky since it's located in downtown Alpharetta, but there's a nearby free parking garage that makes it manageable. Overall, it's a solid go-to when you're craving Korean food in the area without needing to drive to neighboring cities.

The bibimbap? why would they serve it on a FLAT plate? it was so hard to mix the rice in it. Portion size of this dish was like kids menu. Not sure if they only focused on the aesthetics of the restaurant but there no need for you to waste money here.

We decided to try Slurpin' Ramen Bar first. I had read that they originally started in California so I had a good feeling about it and I'm so glad we went! Their tonkotsu broth was probably the best I've had in the US. It was rich and full of flavor without feeling overly heavy. It was so good that we didn't want to leave any behind so we actually took the leftover broth with us for the 5-hour drive home (thankfully we had a cooler bag!). I immediately had to tell my son who's currently living in LA for college so he can visit one there too. This place is definitely going on our must-visit restaurant list from now on.

First, when you walk into the restaurant, it is very cute, has a bar for solo diners and booths incase you are in a group. The location is very cozy and the employees were great! Our server was very patient and had no problem explaining, re-explaining, and confirming with the chef if he wasn't 100% on an answer. I got a tofu rice bowl, which I typically don't get and it was delicious! I asked if the salad could be put on the side rather than in the bowl and was given a full side salad that I wound up mixing into my rice lol. I also added broccoli to the bowl, which I probably wouldn't do again because it was pretty bland, but overall the bowl was good. Now the vegan dumplings... were FANTASTIC! We shared the dumplings and everyone agreed that they were easily the best thing that we had eaten the whole day. The green color threw me off at first, but the crispiness and texture of the dumpling was amazing. I would love to go back and try the ramen to see how it measures up, but again, great experience. Also, when you are paying the check, they bring you a small bucket full of dum dum lollipops, which I thought was a great touch. Me and my adult guests all left like happy children, which is exactly how eating out should make you feel.

I ordered the Cha-shu Japanese Bun and the Cha-shu Ramen, and wow--both were outstanding. You can truly taste that everything is homemade, just like my adopted grandma made this at home with love, patience, and tradition. The cha-shu pork was perfectly tender, flavorful, and cooked to perfection. The bun was soft, fresh, and paired beautifully with the rich, savory pork. The ramen itself was next level. The broth was deep, rich, and comforting, clearly simmered with care and attention. The noodles had the perfect texture, and adding all the toppings just took it over the top--each ingredient felt thoughtfully prepared and balanced. This is the kind of place where you can tell the food is made with passion, not shortcuts. Amazing food, great portions, welcoming atmosphere, and top-tier service. I was like, can you give me a bigger container than the tiny one you got. He said same tiny container. I was like can I just a one big one for $2. He said No, $2 for each tiny container. I was like seriously? I just spent $35 with them and I can't even get enough rice for me and my parents. Never in my years, have I ever had an issue about getting extra rice for any restaurant. This has got to be the cheapest restaurant in the world. I finally told the guy, don't worry about it. I didn't want to pay $4 extra for tiny containers or rice. They lost a long time customer for a such little dollars. Its the principle and they provided horrible customer service. I will not be coming back and I highly suggest in not giving these people any business especially on how cheap they are. I provided a photo of the rice containers that come with each entree. Nothing sucks more than having entrees and not enough rice to eat it with. Their entrees lack portions as their portions have gotten alot smaller as well.
