We went to China Inn today for the first time. I was impressed by the food! The server was polite, prompt, and attentive. SERVICE When we entered the restaurant, we were greeted by a gentleman who showed us to a booth (combination of booths and standard chair/table setups, FYI for Accessibility). The female server came over and took our drink orders, asked if we were ready to order or would like some time. It was a weekday at lunch-time, so that made sense (for those in a hurry). I ordered soup while my dining partner did not (and was still contemplating the menu) so she quickly brought the soup while he pondered the menu. Our order arrived in a short amount of time, and was delicious! MENU The menu is extensive! There are many different base-sauces for dishes (not just a few) which makes the menu rich. The first page is Lunch Specials (at least 10, if not more-?), followed by pages with Appetizers and Soups, then the menu is identified by dish main-ingredient (Beef, Chicken, Scallops, etc.). The next part is the Specialties (or was it Recommendations-?) anyhow, it was an impressive list of combination-meals, often containing beef, chicken, shrimp trios. FOOD I TASTED Egg Drop Soup- tasty! It was served with fried wonton-style strips in a bowl on the side. Crab Wontons - Six wontons, with a sidecar container of both sweet and sour sauce and a spicy horseradish mustard. These were very good! The best combination of crispy folds on the top and delicious mixture on the inside "purse". Sizzling Beef Broccoli and Vegetables ($10.95)- this was delicious! It was like beef and broccoli, but also had snow peas, carrots, mushrooms, water chestnuts, mini-corn, with a rich brown sauce (served with a side of rice). The dish is brought out in a bowl, then poured into a sizzling platter. Yum! The beef was tender, all the vegetables cooked very nicely. General Tsao's Chicken ($9.95)- my dining partner had this, though I did have two pieces of it. Again, very tasty! The chicken was crispy without being too hard, done just right. The sauce was delicious, thick, and warm without being "too hot". Also served with a small bowl of rice on the side. VALUE I feel the dishes we had were priced well. It was a lot of good food, and it was priced to earn my repeat business. OVERALL I was pleased with every aspect of China Inn. From the service, atmosphere, and food, it was a delicious experience that I look forward to repeating in the near future! read more

Let's be honest. My expectations were not high... until our sesame chicken (on tomato sauce instead of the boring brown sauce) and crispy beef (really crispy like it is supposed to be) came out and we took a bite of each. Then we were impressed and happy we tried the place. read more

I've been ordering carry out and delivery from China inn for almost 10 years. Lately, I always get the shrimp lo mein and veggie spring rolls. Always delicious and always ready quickly. We order kung pow chicken and sesame chicken. They were both very bland. I ordered white meat kung pow chicken and all it was, was thinly sliced chicken. Both dishes were very tasteless. The best part of the meal was the home made donuts that they brought at the end of the meal. That's why I bumped it up to a 2 star rating. read more

It was nice to finally get a good chinese restaurant in the area. We have been going to this restaurant so often that the staff knows us and our regular orders - we barely pick up a menu anymore. They recently started serving brown rice (as an option), previously they only had white rice. They are very prompt to get orders ready. My only complaint would be that when we dine at the restaurant (as compared to take-out) they do not bring the food all at once. Someone (or two) is always left waiting for their food. read more

We come here regularly for the lunch specials and dinners as well. The food is tasty, fresh and hot. Lunch specials have egg roll, rice and main dish for $6. You cant do Mickey d's for that. I've had most everything on the menu and have never been disappointed. The wait staff is very friendly and fast. This is definately my go to Chinese food. read more

Worst Chinese I've ever had!!! Everything we ordered was horrible. The cashew chicken tastes suspicious... Like almost some kind of cleaner in it. No one would eat it. Trashed. Even the white rice was over cooked and dry. Veg spring rolls are very bland. fried wontons hard and tasteless. Fried rice bland as well. No flavor to even salt up.The general tso chicken was only so-so. Definitely have had better. I could make better Chinese food than this. Total waste of weekend eating out money. Tried this place last week for the first time and it was the worst and tasteless food I've ever had! I ordered brocolli beef and white rice and the broccoli beef was tasteless, no ingredients, no sauce no taste what so ever! What I did kinda taste was the taste of being reheated or like the food had sat there all day. Really unusual. The white rice was flat out dry. It was so awful, my stomach just felt nasty all into the night and even hours later, i had that awful "heavy" feeling in my stomach where the food hadn't yet digested and my body was just not agreeing to it. The general tso shrimp was excellent! The breading was perfect. The sauce was really good but a little too salty. The waitress did not speak english well but you could pretty much understand her. Awful awful customers service I can't believe it! Don't get me wrong the food is 5 star but the customer service deserves 0 star! My family and I order 60-70$ worth of food almost everyday from there I have a big family... Anyways one day this week I orderd 60$ worth of food even gave the driver 10$ tip when I received my food I was missing my beef fried rice that I had asked for. So I called and told them where is my beef fried rice? And the manager said you didn't order that I said yes I did and she said well they never charged you for it but if you want you can place a order. Mind you this was after I had gotten my food already! So I said no why should I have to order it again and wait 30-40 minutes for something I had already ordered in the first place! So she kept arguing with me and I said mam I spend 60-70$ worth of food almost everyday from you are you kidding me you can't just send me my rice you would reather loose a costumer who spends 60-70$ of food almost everyday over some fried rice and she says ya we don't care. AWFUL! Just ordered take out from the China Inn for me and my family. Nothing we ordered was good or even edible. Some of the chicken we ordered for my children was so tough they simple could not chew it. Most of our dinner went into the garbage. Don't think I have ever had to do that. Wish I had written a review a couple of weeks ago because now all I remember is that we both really enjoyed the food. It was fresh and tasty! We dined in. The interior is not impressive. Looks like they do a great deal of carry out. Restroom was quite well maintained. They lack storage and use part of the dining area for it. No big deal. We will go back for sure! read more

Ive been going here since 2008. I have always done either delivery or pickup so I cannot comment on the sit down poriton. I also have only had the scechuan beef, beef and broccoli, and sweet and sour chicken. I can say the latter 2 have always been fantastic. Fresh tasting, no complaints. I tend to get the crispy beef 90 percent of the time, and 75 percent of the time its great. The other 25 percent, its "ok". It can sometimes be a tad soggy. Overall, the food is great (even moreso when they include the donuts). The service when I pick up and deliver is also very friendly. Never any issues in that aspect. They will continue to get my business. read more

This place is a poor excuse for Chinese food. Their lunch special fried rice looks like soy sauce was poured over it to give it a "fried look". The lo mein is made with spaghettini noodles and I once got fried noodles and they were so stale, who knows how old they were. All the food I've ever gotten looks very low budget. read more

I ordered the shrimp with vegetables and white sauce and steamed white rice for a weekday lunch. The place was empty and staff was dining so I expected little service. The plate arrived and the vegetables were nicely cooked. But the shrimp, I was shocked. Not only are they not cleaned, they were literally wrapped in cords of black excrement. The rice was hard and crusty. Needless to say, I didn't eat it. But nobody ever came to the table. I asked for the check and showed the server. She went running to the kitchen, shrimp on a napkin.
