Waxhaws best Chinese. Everyone in the family had something different. The Orange chicken, fried rice, rose chicken, Mei Fun and General Tsos chicken with Lo menu were all fan favorite. Has to be the rudest Chinese restaurant around with subpar food. I went in to order two orders of white rice and when I said that was all I needed she refused to serve me saying she can't just sell me rice. This is the second time I tried to order food there. Decent food but kinda upset about the fact that nothing is really labeled on the site. Didn't know how many dumplings I was getting or how many teriyaki beef sticks I was gonna get. I asked how many of the beef sticks and she told me one so I got a few other things to fill me up not expecting to get 3 in total not mad about the fact that I got more than I thought just upset it wasn't labeled on the site and that she lied to me. And I got the chicken fried rice. Expecting my chicken to be normal cooked chicken but instead it's steamed. I mean could be my fault but it wasn't written anywhere so kinda upset and when I called back because some of the chicken looks raw the lady said "it's steamed. We sold a lot today with no complaints or calls back" Tried ti basically tell me to shut up and eat it even tho she isn't looking at it and can't see what I see. Half my chicken in there looks raw and is very slimy and chewy. I had to take a minute to write a review of this location! This is my daughters favorite place to eat and last week when her grandparents asked where she wanted to eat she picked here and she wanted take-out!!! We ordered take-out online and got a quick call back to confirm and they told us it would be about 15min. My daughter and my father went to pick up the food and when they got back we found that the restaurant actually added some of their great doughnuts that had FREE written on the package! I came in an hour and a half before closing and was told that they were not taking dine in customers the food isn't great anyway so no big loss but just kinda surprised someone would turn away a paying customer it's not like I walked in 15 minutes before closing it was 8 the sign said open til 9:30 read more

This food is pretty typical Americanized Chinese buffet. Given the other options for Chinese food in Waxhaw I wouldn't choose this over those. The Decor could use updating. On the plus side the price was reasonable and the people were nice enough. read more

I recently visited for the dinner buffet with my three year old son. The buffet food was lacking and did not look appealing. My son ate 2 pieces of sweet and sour chicken and ate a few bites of fried rice. The bill for the two of us was over $18. The price is far too high for the lackluster options. The buffet and price were honestly not the worst part of my visit. The blatant racism shown to a guest in line in front of us was. After the guest left the lady at the register actually said "black people always act..." I was utterly shocked and have never experienced such a thing. Very small selection, not sure how they stay open when compared to other buffets. Add one of the most abrasive waitresses (who couldn't even find time to refill my drink even though there was only 1 other person in the restaurant) and it's even more surprising they are still open. My husband and I went in today for lunch and it was the worse Chinese good I have eaten in a long time. The empty Resturant except for two older ladies should have brought up red flags. We were asked if we want to order from the menu or buffet. We chose buffet. The buffet was almost empty every item offered was in minimal quantity, for example, the rice had maybe two large serving spoon fulls in the hot plate and it was dry and hard, three shriveled dry chicken wings I did ask for new ones and three were brought out that looked just as pitiful. The chicken items on the buffet two of them were just the sauce no chicken and where there was chicken you could count the pieces. I really wished I would have taken pictures. When I asked the lady server she said you should have order from the menu, next time. I made sure she understood there would not be a next time. A terrible place to eat. This place deserves no stars honestly. Buffet ? They had about 4-6 dishes which were damn near empty so this when it gets freaky... I politely asked "can you put more chicken wings out please" owner says why ? I hate slamming a place but this was the worst Chinese food I've ever had and I've lived all over the U.S. We had to order 3 dishes in order to get the veggie combination we wanted. Apparently there are no additions? The Mongolian beef didn't taste or have the texture of beef. General Tso's chicken was so-so and the rice was mushy and overcooked! I love this restaurant! I've been eating their take-out and buffet for the last 3 years. The Rose Chicken is amazing and the Mei Fun is one of my favorites. The family who owns and operates the business are good hard working Christians and they work very hard to make sure you get excellent food and service. I can't eat at any other Chinese restaurant because there is no comparison. I hope they are so successful that they never leave! I can't picture a Friday night without their food. read more

Please don't support this place! My husband just had lunch at this place. He asked the waitress if he could have 3 fresh wings because the food on the bar was cold, the lady told him if he wanted hot wings he could go to Bojangles. My husband requested a manager. she refused to get a manager. My husband told the waitress he didn't want the food and got up to leave. The waitress starting yelling" that's good go to Bojangles"! This is the worst restaurant I have had the displeasure of visiting. The staff is completely rude and ignorant. The waitress often has her 5 yr old son taking orders and he cannot speak English very well so you will need to repeat your order. Also, I constantly have to refill my own drink no matter if it's water or soda (yes, I thought it would make a difference). What makes me completely disgusted is their advertising. They advertise an "all you can eat" buffet. HOWEVER, I was getting my first plate and I went to get a very small piece of fish and the waitress told me I was not allowed to eat fish or shrimp ( although other patrons were allowed to). My husband and I moved down here 3 years ago. The search for Chinese food as good as in New York is over. The portions are great. The small wonton soup comes with 5 wontons not 3 like most places. Whatever we have ordered always tastes excellent. Our favorite way to order is to go in place our order tell them we will be back in an hour. Then go over to the Stuffed Olive have a drink or two and go back to pick up our order and it's pipping hot. If you place a phone in order the same applies. Prices are very very reasonable. I had been a customer for many years and had no issues. Sometimes I would food that was not so fresh and just say nothing. However, I had received two bad orders in one week and ask them for refund. They flpped out! They yelled at me and got in my face, because I was the only one who complained today. I was very much disrespected and embarrassed in front of people. It took them 15 minutes to refund my expensive order. They told me never to come back and I NEVER WILL. They are rude and I suspect racist because I am black. They redip your food and grab your food off the old buffet when you order takeout. As a patron of theirs for more than 5 years, I am shocked and disappointed in the way I was treated. This is a casual, very inexpensive, Chinese restaurant. While it specializes in an extensive buffet, one can also order from numerous entree choices. The restaurant is clean and cheerful, and has a friendly and efficient staff. Regarding costs, the buffet is only $7.50 in the evening.
