Service, seating, everything was awful. Waited a whole hour just to walk up to the counter to ask when our food would be ready. The lady said she'll go check but never got back with us. While waiting for our food, my sister and I saw a grown man who worked in the kitchen take his BEAR FINGERS and picked up chicken and placed it in the bowl it dropped out of. Absolutely disgusting. I had the Orange Chicken, my wife had the drunken noodle with chicken and my son had the Chicken skewers, with fried rice and a veggie roll while we all shared the crab rangoon and scallion pancakes. My son devoured his rice and chicken and three of the Rangoon (to our surprise). I fought the urge to eat my wife's noodles as well as my own. I thought it was good because we were hungry, but no, it was just as good later. Appreciate: 1)The service. Our server was very sweet to our son and even gave him a lollipop after our meal. 2) Their menu has items exclusive to their to-go orders (which makes ordering ahead all the more enticing, right?) Areas to consider: It's a quaint sized dine-in area (Can seat maybe 30 people comfortably) so they don't have the set-up to seat like a party of six or more unless you don't mind not sitting together. We soon found that this is mainly a takeout restaurant, as the dining area was very small, and we were served with paper plates and plastic bowls and utensils. That being said, our server was very nice and helpful, and the food was wonderful! We started out with chicken dumplings with chili sauce, and it was awesome! Our main course was Ramen soup with shrimp (me) and Tom Yum soup with pork (my husband). The soups were both delicious...we enjoyed our meals very much! As of this date, they have nothing but 5 star reviews. You should believe all of them. This place is fantastic. We visited spur of the moment while in Matthews, and boy do I wish it were closer so I could frequent more often. The quality of food is much better than what you'd typically get from a similar strip mall spot. Everything was fresh and the prices were reasonable considering how much food you get. The kids meal is even enough for an adult. The staff was super friendly, and they have a small, clean dining area. Most people got to-go orders, but we dined in because we were with our kids. Everything arrived in reusable containers with paper plates. But I did not come here for ambiance ‍. Here's the rundown of what we got: Crab Rangoon: This was tasty, but probably the least memorable to me. The flavor is typical of what you'd expect from crab Rangoon. The wrapping was crispy and the inside was creamy. It came with a sweet and sour dipping sauce that it didn't really need. Overall 4/5. Scallion pancake: Delightfully flaky with a slight onion flavor from the scallion. Again, came with a dipping sauce that we didn't need. This was really good. Our toddler liked it too. 5/5 Drunken noodles with chicken: The chicken was juicy and the noodles has the perfect amount of sauce. It has a good amount of veggies in it as well that made me feel like it was at least slightly healthy. The sauce was slightly sweet, not spicy. 5/5 Orange chicken: Nice big chunks of white meat with lots of crisp. This is the type of orange chicken I appreciate. The sauce was spot on and had a perfect amount of kick. Comes with tasty broccoli at the bottom. 5/5 Kids meal: We opted for chicken skewers with fried rice and a vegetable spring roll. It was A LOT of food for a kid. So much so that I immediately said "I could've gotten this!" when we opened it. The chicken skewers were two large chicken breast tenderloins. The seasoning was quite tasty and had a hint of sweetness. I would love to have this chicken by itself. The fried rice was fine. Good but nothing fancy. The spring roll was crispy and felt homemade based on the filling. 4.5/5 We will definitely be back to try their noodle bowls. Wings were popular among the to-go orders as well. Placing order was fine. For $57+, I expected more. Mong Beef had 7 small pieces of beef and 32 large pieces of onion. Flavor was good but I can pay $2 for a whole bag of onions and cook them instead of $10 for this dish that was titled Mongolian BEEF not Mongolian Onions. Orange chicken was ordered based on high reviews, but this dish was too chewy and seemed to be sitting for awhile, not fresh. The next day was inedible. Black Pepper Shrimp and Beef = 2 shrimp, 9 large broccoli pieces, about 1 mushroom cut into 8ths and a few pieces of steak. Not worth $12.99. The Hot n' Sour soup was good, comparable to our normal place. Spicy wontons spilled into bag as packed in styrofoam and crushed by plastic dishes in same bag, so sauce and 2 wontons leaked out into bag. Packing bag better could help. Not impressed with these especially when there was no sauce or juices once arrived at home. No fortune cookies? I called and the lady said these are upon request only? This was our first time ordering here, how do we know this? I ordered extra duck sauce for 6 menu items and got 6 packets total, with 20+ packs of other sauces, not requested. After each item ordered, I special requested EXTRA DUCK SAUCE Please. Very Disappointed and when I called, the response was come back and get them, and bring beef dish and we will add more beef? Well all I can say is all of the previous reviews we spot on. We place a large order of all of our favorite foods. Each one was prepared exactly as they should be. It's nice to find a place that does Thai and Asian food in the same restaurant. All were excellent. Pad Thai and Drunken noodles were perfect. We also ordered a assortment of appetizers. Spicy wontons, dumplings, egg rolls and boneless spareribs. The ribs were the best I have had in NC. Soft not tough as other places make them. We loved the online ordering page. I did an online order and it was easy to use. Pick up time was accurate and friendly. We got egg drop soup, wonton soup, & chicken drunken noodles to share. The entree is enough for 3 meals in my opinion. Soups were very good but the noodles were a little over cooked and could have used more spice (asked for very spicy not spicy at all). The pricing is also a little higher than other Chinese take out places. However, the quality of the food is better so I'm fine paying more for it. It was pretty average takeout. I got the drunken noodles and it didn't taste like drunken noodles at all. No Thai basil or Thai seasoning, typical stir fry veggies, generic stir fry brown sauce, etc. The noodles were also too thin. It was more reminiscent of a Chinese vegetable ho fun or something. The mini corns in the dish were inedible because they were either way over cooked or undercooked in the wok; it was like biting into the cob of a full size corn.
