    Hibachi shrimp

Totally surprised to find this hidden gem after living in Waxhaw for more than 11 years! It's sometimes hard to find good Chinese food but this place is great. I ordered hibachi shrimp (minus mushrooms). I love that their food is somewhat "plain". The salad was simply lettuce, carrots, cucumbers and really good ginger dressing. I ate it before I thought to take a picture. The hibachi shrimp was filled with a decent amount of huge shrimp. The fried rice was also "plain" like I love it! Hubby had the white chicken (comparable to general tso) and our son had chicken fried rice. Everyone really enjoyed their meals and the customer service was top notch. We have found our new spot for great Chinese food!

I stopped by Asian Grill after meeting with my tax preparer (right before the tax deadline). I needed food for my family as I had no plans to cook that day. I ordered food for every member of my family. My mother-in-law ate her food without telling me not to buy her that food again, so I take it as a good sign. The facility does not offer dining in for lunch. Lunch is takeaway only. Tables are placed a few feet from the entrance to keep patrons from going inside. The separation reminds me of Covid-19 precautions. My food was good. No one made any negative statements towards the food, so I assume the food was well received. The young lady brought the food to my car so that was extremely helpful and kind.

The sauce to my chicken meal was all over the bag. Hardly no chicken horrible meal and expensive

Picked up my food packaging was not good and the sauce to my chicken got all over my car. Plus the fact I got cheated on the chicken and the rice was just brown rice and egg. I paid a lot of money and it was not worth it

ABSOLUTELY PHENOMENAL !!!! Best culinary experience of my 18 year lifetime. I ordered the scallion pancakes and the beng beng chicken and I will just say... I shouldn't have worn jeans because I absolutely DEVOURED it. Call me a fat ass but I ate every last bite. Had me SCRAPING the plate clean of the sauce. Absolutely loved it and WILL be back. The customer service was also amazing. 110% recommend to anyone who wants to eat scrumptious food!!!

Food isn't good... we had the egg rolls, spring rolls, and beef broccoli. It was so bad we threw it out... paid $30... not worth it.

The waiter and cashier working gave great service. Had the mango chicken and mongolian beef. Both were well seasoned and high quality meat.

The Hibachi was not good. The steak was tough, dry and had no flavor. I will not order it again.

Great Chinese food coming from a NYer. Great price for great food. Their noodle soups are amazing especially on a cold and rainy day.

There were only 4 of us. They have 4 VERY low chairs at the front to wait. It was a Monday and there were only about 5 tables of people ... the rest of the restaurant was empty. So it was ridiculous to ask us to wait in the uncomfortable low chairs. I grabbed one of the chairs from the empty tables and used it to wait. When all arrived, we sat at a table near a window for the view. Our waiter took our order.... and then we waited, and waited, and waited. Omgosh it took so long for our food to come out. Everyone at our table commented they probably only had one cook. Finally when the food arrived, it really was good. I got the pineapple glazed salmon ($46) with coconut rice ($10). The salmon was thick and very good. Coconut rice was made from coconut milk and also very good. 2 ladies got sushi and said it was good. For my birthday, the waiter brought out a small treat. After dinner, we went on the rooftop to see the view.

The staff were attentive, and the food was good. Unfortunately, one issue overshadowed the entire…read morevisit. A few minutes after my friend and I (walk-ins) ordered on the patio, I was asked to insert my card for a $50 pre-authorization. I've dined at many upscale restaurants and have never been asked to pre-authorize my card after ordering at a sit-down table. When the charge posted instead of simply dropping off, I called the manager. She apologized, confirmed it would be returned to my card (it was), and told me this was standard policy for all guests due to walkouts. However, I couldn't find any mention of this policy on their website or in the restaurant. A few days later, I called as a customer to ask about their payment policies. I was told that neither walk-ins nor reservations are required to pre-authorize a card, except for certain pre-booked experiences. When I explained what had happened, the employee was surprised, apologized, and said they had never heard of that happening. I have no issue with restaurants using pre-authorizations--as long as the policy is clearly disclosed and applied consistently. For example, VINYL in Charlotte explicitly tells guests that everyone is subject to a pre-authorization, so there are no surprises. Based on my experience, this policy was neither transparent nor consistently applied, and the conflicting explanations left me questioning why I was asked to pre-authorize my card when other guests were not. Because of that, I'll choose to spend my money elsewhere. Why was I asked to whip out my card & pre-authorize a $50 charge immediately after ordering when it's not standard policy and other guests weren't asked to do the same? How do you pick and choose which guests to pre authorize? What are you basing it on?

Pretty good size shopping plaza and it's a standalone building. Don't have to walk thru the plaza dealing with people. Park and walk right in. For me, service is what made it just an OK experience. It was a little late for dinner but the restaurant was still open. I understand the side work for closing as I've been in the field before but if you have a table, it should be a focus on the guests not the other way around. There was a mix up on the bill and the annoyance on her face seemed as if she felt it was my fault. But she did fix the issue almost seeming begrudgingly. I'll also mention that I had to flag down other staff for refills, as well as the bill. And you know how it goes - one thing is off and it makes for a forgettable experience. But I will say that dinner was fine. See pics. Can't complain about prices or portions but when I was annoyed, I was just eating to eat. I don't know anyone out here whose tastes for Sushi/Sashimi aligns with mine so it's hard to say whether I'd go back or not. First, obviously I don't live there and second, more places I'd probably want to try before I go back for service like I experienced that night. But it's probably not likely
