Had a really solid dining experience here. Even though there are tons of options in this little mall, China Ichiban was surprisingly empty. I don't quite get because the food and service were great. The prices are very fair, and they really pack the containers full. I love that the food is made to order rather than sitting out. While the flavors were a little on the bland side, it was still tasty and fresh. The staff was very attentive and kept me informed on my order while I waited. The inside is nice and clean, and I really appreciated the pictures of the food on the menu--it made it super easy to decide what to get. This place is super authentic and one of the better Chinese food places in the area. The owner himself is super friendly, knowledgeable, and always willing to accommodate you to the best of his ability. One time they forgot my sesame black bean balls and literally drove them to me from the restaurant to my house no charge no nothing. And threw in extra. You won't find. Panda Express, who?! I agree with what so many other reviews have stated: the quality of the food is exceptional and the owners are kind and friendly! Throw in the ridiculously reasonable prices, and China Ichiban is a no-brainer if you're looking for a solid spot to eat. Everything is made to order, so your food is fresh and piping hot! We ordered xiao long bao and the 2 item combo with orange chicken, pepper steak, and half fried rice/half chow mein. The chicken had solid chunks of meat with minimal breading, and the steak was so tender! I love that the xiao long bao each come in their own tin, so the juice is contained even if you pop it accidentally. The flavors and seasoning of everything in our combo were on point including the chow mein and fried rice. Portions are incredibly generous, and we even had leftovers after 2 hungry adults went to town on it. Again, the owners are so kind and approachable. They let us know ahead of time that the xiao long bao would take 15 minutes since everything is made to order, and we were happy to oblige. They also offer a family meal pack and multiple catering options. There are a few tables inside if you'd like to dine inside. We'll definitely be frequenting China Ichiban more often! read more

We tried this place for the first time like 2 weeks ago. And first off the owners of this place are literally the sweetest and nicest people. We appreciate your help and support as we were looking through all the options. The food was good! You order and they cook it all fresh for you! It will take about 10 to 15 minutes depending what you get but you get it hot! So it's worth the wait. I really loved the soup dumplings they were so amazing. The noodles and rice were great too! Came back again to try their other dishes & sure enough I was not disappointed. We ordered the usual 3-item combo of orange chicken, pepper beef & pork chop. And this time tried also their dumpling (xia long bao) & it was so good that we did not realize that we did not take a picture of it in time until there were only 2 left out of the 8 pieces. A bite of each gives a burst of all the juicy & umami flavors that there is no need for sauce like other versions. But a little bit of the sriracha sauce & it takes you on another level. And the highlight of it all is a special request I made of a Wor Wonton Soup. This is the one item that separates a good Chinese cook from the rest. Where others have failed, they truly delivered. Loaded with wonton, shrimp, chicken, beef, bbq pork & vegetable (Wor in Chinese is everything) this is one item that is a complete meal by itself. It is a dish not in their menu but can be requested as this place only serve custom-made. It's like having your own personal chef to cook for you. I appreciate the customer service and the attention to this matter. The owner reached out offering his sincere apologies for what happened and offered to remedy the situation with a full refund. Customer service can go a long way and it did here. It shows he does care and I appreciate that. And just to be clear, I'm not the type to nitpick every small mistake. I've had wrong items or missing items in orders before and rolled with it. I've even ordered fried chicken from Chinese spots and thought, "it is what it is." I know not every dish is going to be a hit. But in this case, the entire order was a miss for me, and that's why I felt it was important to share. So glad we tried this restaurant! We wanted something quick and Chinese food always hits the spot for me. We were greeted right away and the place was clean and nicely decorated. This spot honestly has better Chinese food than a lot of restaurants I have been to in my entire life. Their juicy pork dumpling has so much flavor, to the point I think it even beats Mama Lu's. Usually for the dumplings, there's a sauce accompanied with it, but at China Ichiban, there's no need for the sauce because of how savory their dumplings already are! Their pepper steak is also very delicious -- not too heavy on the pepper while still maintaining a nice consistency. I had a bit of their Wonton Soup, and the soup base isn't too heavy on the bouillon, while the veggies included tasted very fresh. Although they have a small seating area, taking your order to go doesn't impact the quality of the food, unlike some establishments. This is literally the best Chinese food I've ever had. It's made fresh, it's cheap, the portions are huge but most importantly, it's DELICIOUS. I spent the better of 20 minutes eating and talking with Steven who I believe is the owner along with his wife who is the amazing chef.
