I have not eaten food from here in quite some time. I was reading recent reviews and decided to give it another try. This place was very good, then started having multiple issues. There is no dine in available. It is carry out and delivery only. I ordered an egg roll and cashew chicken. The egg roll was a very generous size. It was incredibly flavorful! Fantastic! My cashew chicken was amazing as well. Very good sized pieces of chicken! I do not know if this place changed ownership or just made some changes; however, I was very happy to try it again! A hidden gem in our neighborhood!!! New to the Greenfield area and we are exploring restaurants and takeout joints. Well, let me tell you the food here is outstanding! We have ordered 3 times from here and have loved it every time. Hands down this place has the best Hot and Sour soup I've EVER had. Their egg rolls are on point, we believe that they are homemade. The overall quality of the food is impressive. The shrimp fried rice had real, fresh vegetables in it and not frozen ones. The Mongolian bbq pork has huge pieces of pork that were tender and delicious. Their egg foo young was fantastic and the brown gravy has the best flavor. This place will continue to be staple in our household. Highly recommend checking this place out. You will not regret it!!! read more

I just moved into the neighborhood and have been trying many local places. I'm glad I tried China Hut! When I say it's my new favorite Chinese restaurant, it's not just because I live right down the street from them. China Hut is impressive because they use spices, instead of just soy sauce, to season their food. They also use fresh, not frozen, vegetables. And the meat is higher quality than I've seen just about anywhere else. They're the first restaurant that I've ordered Singapore noodles from and they're AMAZING. I particularly enjoy the noodles being "dry," not saucy like lo mein (which I also like). The yellow curry seasoning is perfect, the medium spice doesn't overwhelm the taste of all the other ingredients, and there's at least three different kinds of meat (chicken, pork, shrimp) in the noodles. I've tried other place's Singapore noodles and they're nowhere near as good. The egg rolls seem to be home made and have a unique flavor that's better than the generic machine made egg rolls most other Chinese restaurants but and sell. I'm going to keep going back! I'm not opposed to the strip mall restaurant thing because I have had some good food so when I found my self in the area at lunch time I stopped by. The place is take out or delivery only and nothing to look at on the inside except some chairs and the Asian kitsch. The menu has all the usual items and some combination/specials and I opted for the Mandarin Beef lunch special with chicken fried rice and a spring roll. It's a spicy dish and I was asked how hot and I said hot, 9 times out of 10 it's mild. The food was cooked to order and hot which I liked and spicy, she did a great job and listened. The spring roll was the typical lunch special kind and nothing special. The chicken fried rice was tasty and cooked perfect firm and not mushy. The Mandarin Beef was that super tender Asian style beef that I really like in a spicy/thick brown sauce and not the generic sweet kind. The veggies had some crunch left in them which I always appreciate and the Mandarin Beef was pretty good overall. Overall I'm giving four stars because it was a better than average lunch special and the woman actually made it to my spice level, runny nose perfect. I would have no problem stopping here again and my Asian lunch crave was filled. read more

I don't even know what to say. This used to be my favorite Chinese restaurant of all time. I have been ordering food here for 20 years. My last order I place they told me it was gonna be an hour. Wait after two hours of waiting I finally got my food after I called three times to see what was going on, the owners will not turn down any business so they lie to you about the time so they can get your money. By the time we got the food, it was cold, not even lukewarm my husband got the spicy Singapore noodles, and all you could taste, was the powder because they put so much on it, this is the third time something like this has happened in the past year so needless to say we are done they won't even give you a refund. Fyi, this place is carryout or delivery ONLY. Decent food, prices were standard for any chinese joint. I didn't like that there were no sauces out & they completely seal the bag so your at the mercy of the person at the counter to give the right ones & amount (unless you stand there & rip it open). Thought it was weird no napkins, no utensils in my carryout bag... ? Never had green peppers in my veggie foo young before and don't like them. Thank goodness there were only 2 to pick out! Other than that, delicious! The fried rice was very salty like Chrissy said, but good. But, I don't even want to know how much sodium was in it! (probably 3 days worth, lol) They didn't have veggie egg rolls for some reason. Got the chicken instead. I didn't notice a lot of meat and it was a tad overfried, overall they were average/standard. The veggies did taste a lot fresher than where I usually go for chinese. I ordered the General Tso's chicken combination with an egg roll and chicken fried rice. When I opened the container I was shocked at how much food there was. It smelled and looked delicious. The egg roll was very good. The chicken was so incredibly overcooked it was all just dried. It was like eating the turkey from National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation. The fried rice was tasty, but I was biting on something small and hard and found out it was a staple. I really wanted to love this food. The fried rice tasted good. We ordered the mushroom with beef. This was absolutely terrible. It was basically ALL sauce. Tons of mushroom and only THREE pieces of beef. I wanted to be nice and tell the manager what happened. She pretended she could not hear me. But she did say that most people add extra beef when they order this meal and they add the same amount of beef each time they make it. They should have refunded me and thanked me for calling to warn them that the food they handed out was unacceptable. If they would have done this they wouldn't be getting a bad review right now. I would not recommend this place. As someone who works hard for every money earned this was a big disappointment. This used to be a good place to get Chinese food. However, I recently purchased egg foo young vegetable. The patties were burnt and the veggies were terrible.For the life of me I do not understand how they feel that this is good business? How can you pack up burnt food and take my hard earned cash? This food was absolutely disgusting. The lomein had NO sauce on it at all, instead I was given plain lomein noodles. I requested my kid's sweet and sour chicken have no sauce on it as she's 2 and doesn't like the sauce and instead they put it in a separate CARDBOARD container which the delivery driver then got all over everything, chicken, egg rolls, rice, etc making everything else inedible since no one eats that sauce in my house. I have actually ordered from this restaurant several times by phone for carry out and have had no problems and found the food to be very good. Tonight I ordered again, this time online, and requested delivery. Delivery estimate was 60 minutes. After 60 minutes passed, I called the restaurant to make sure they received my order. I was told yes and it is being prepared but they are very busy. I said fine, no problem, we can wait. After about another 45 minutes passed I called again and this time was told they were not receiving any online orders tonight and never received my order but could take my order over the phone and it would be about 45 minutes. I told him to forget it. Ridiculous. If you can't take orders online don't offer online order options. I'm pissed off enough right now to never go back there again. read more

Was looking for some decent Chinese delivery & this is the place! The woman on the phone who took my order was friendly (as was the delivery man). The crab rangoon & chicken egg foo young were really delicious; the shrimp fried rice was really good but is heavy on the soy sauce (I love salty so I was ok with it!). The delivery was fast, the price was reasonable, & the food was piping hot upon arrival. Highly recommend! Update: the chicken with broccoli, not so good. Came in some glorified thickened chicken broth. As did the chicken lo mein. Didn't taste awful, but that's not how I like my chicken with broccoli :( read more

I don't know how this place has bad reviews. I've lived in the area for about a year and a half and have ordered from here at least 15 times. They never get our order wrong, the food is always hot and the service is pleasant. We do typically stick to chicken dishes but they are all good! A large feeds me and my boyfriend ( that's saying something because he can EAT) It's never soggy but has plenty of sauce and flavor. We've also had the shrimp fried rice, crab rangoon, egg rolls and spring rolls. All good. It's a small, older strip mall so it's not beautiful inside but it is clean. Absolutely agree with the fried rice being a little salty but it was still very good! The combo platters have plenty of food on them. Tried the appetizer platter and it was OK. Prices are fair and appropriate. It's close to home and they're very fast. Ready in usually 20 minutes for pick up. The name and the nondescript stripmall location don't scream out that this place has fantastic chinese food, but don't let that fool you. I've been eating at China Hut for almost a decade and the consistancy, quality, and incredible Mandarin Beef always keep me coming back. This dish is my favorite chinese dish I get anyehere, period. I've moved further away from China Hut over the years but I would always make it a priority to stop and grab lunch or dinner when I would be in the area and it was convenient. Very good pan fried noodles, potstickers, egg rolls and sesame chicken. Delivery was a about an hour on a Saturday night. The pan friend noodles were a slight bit burnt, but they tasted awesome. My daughter loved the sesame chicken. They did forget the white rice to accompany it, but when I called they said they'd mark my account for next time. China Hut does have the greatest fried rice you will get anywhere. I can't explain it. I grew up in Milwaukee near China Hut and it was always a favorite of me and my parents. I moved from Milwaukee to Los Angeles 5 years ago and even though there are numerous authentic very good Chinese food restaurants out here I can not find anyone whose fried rice comes close to China Huts. Every time I go back home to visit my parents I make sure I go to China Hut at least twice. I would also highly recommend the Egg Foo young, which seems to be incredibly hard to find out in LA. They have good food but their service lately is lacking. 3 times in a row I had something missing from my order. The first 2 times they fixed it but the 3rd time they called me liar. The lady said she packed it but it wasn't there, they kept asking me how big the bag was and all these other questions. A quart of white rice was missing, it wasn't there but they swore up and down that it was there. It turned into a huge argument over the phone and that's when I decided never to order from there again. My mom and I ordered food today. Ordered sweet and sour chicken with chow mein and got white rice instead. When I called back the lady on the phone told me my mom wanted to replace chow mein with white rice (which was a lie because I was sitting right next to her when she ordered) but the order is suppose to come with white rice? Can't replace something that's already there. The restaurant calls back 3 or 4 times and the lady answering phones gives it to some guy and says that they can't do anything about it and they'd have to charge me for something I ordered over the phone. Don't you think after they delivered our food and we didn't receive something they'd send the correct order back free of charge because they messed up the order? Not this place.
