Best Chinese food ever!!!! It's in Acworth and I live about 40 minutes away from there and I still go there

Warning before you eat food from this restaurant! I am sharing my experience so nobody else has to go through this. I ordered delivery yesterday from here, an egg roll, small soup, and beef lo mein. I ate the egg roll and soup and started eating the beef lo mein and bit into a metal wire piece! OUCH! I called the manager to tell him what happened and told him he should immediately check his cooking tools and cleaning equipment, as since metal piece was in my food, it was most likely in other's food as well. He refused to give me a refund and yelled, NO REFUND!!! YOUE EAT, YOU PAY!!! He totally disregarded anything I had said about this metal piece in the food, he did not ask me if I was okay, nor did he offer me an apology He said I cannot order from them anymore, as if I would! Despite the reviews, we decided to try China House. To me, it wasn't terrible, but I definitely understand the other reviews! We ordered a 20pc wing with shrimp fried rice, braised & hot teriyaki & sesame seed chicken. The wings were a decent size and were nice and flavorful. They could've been a bit crispier, but good nonetheless. The sesame seed chicken wasn't my fave at all. Chicken could've been fried a bit longer too and the sauce was extremely thick. The sauce was pretty much the downer for this dish. Second downer, we asked for a side of shrimp fried rice, to find out they don't have "sides" of rice and charged $8+ for shrimp fried rice, with only shrimp & egg. No veggies. The dinner combination rice is in a small container, so why couldn't the fried rice be in the same size container? There was also entirely too much soy sauce. My fiancé says he'll go back for the wings, but for $38+ and sub par food I don't think I'd return. read more

Delicious! All of it. Mongolian beef, potstickers, crab rangoon, General Tso's chicken. everything tasted fresh and was hot upon arrival at my house. The communication was excellent upon ordering and I received every single thing in my bag that I had asked for which is rare these days. Restaurants always leave out extra sauce or ketchup packets or extra things like that. Prices are very affordable and may start eating here twice a week . It's that good. read more

Arrived at 2pm Aug 16 on a Sunday. Not one person in restaurant. Seated all 6 of us. We saw no health score posted. Asked hostess where it was. She said manager is getting a frame for it. Keep in mind that it is Ga law that it must posted in plain site at all times. I asked what is the score . She said 70. We left before eating. I contacted Cherokee inspections and they said they are closed from 2 previous failing inspections. They said the scores were 43 and 56. I also saw a to go order on counter. They are serving people and have been ordered to close. We have made a formal complaint. read more

Really terrible. The worst Chinese I've ever tried. Bad meat, bad noodles--how do you mess up noodles?! The only way I can describe it is gross. I hate to be so blunt. It just tasted old--like the oil they are using is old or the ingredients have expired? While I was driving home, I could smell the bitterness emanating from the container, but I tried some anyway once I got home. Inedible. I threw the food away. Very disappointing. Apparently "Golden Bowl" across the street is the same business. Don't get tricked like I did! I tried them both before I realized they were the same, and got burned both times. read more

China house is my go to for szechuan beef. It is the best in the area. There are a wide variety of other menu items I have yet to try but I'm sure you'll find something that will appeal. read more

got honey chicken with lo mein as a side as well as the wing and rice combo. everything was hot and fresh and so yummy. honey chicken could have a little more going on flavor wise but nothing sriracha can't fix. will be making this place a go to at least once a week. YUMMY read more

My family and I did take out here the other day and ordered a bunch of sushi. Since they've merged with yellowtail, the sushi is amazing! We weren't disappointed by the presentation nor by the deliciousness of the sushi. Having had sushi many times in Japan, it's hard for us to find great sushi that's comparable in the states. China House, has now given us a good place to find it. I would recommend the pink lady, the rock n roll, and the bagel rolls. I think we've found our sushi takeout place! read more

Very rude. They changed their name from yellow tail to get a fresh start because they had so many bad reviews. But they are still as rude and unorganized. After leaving this place with an incorrect order I had delivered I had to drive back to for over half an hour to cuzz they refused to fix the order.I got pulled over from the police that were sitting at the tables when I was there. I was then accosted by the police for being disorderly because they can't order correctly and understand what their customers want. NOW SERVING SUSHI. After searching for a sushi place around the area on multiple websites, I came across China House (which was also oddly named Yellow tail sushi & bar on multiple websites). Despite the super low reviews, I decided to give this place a try. I first tried ordering via their online website but it wouldn't let me confirm my order. I then proceeded to work the old style and call them to place my pickup order. It took about an hour to receive my food and out the door. So, be prepared to pick up your food and not use delivery. They use GrubHub for delivery, and per the previous reviews, many folks complained about the delivery times and missing orders. I got there early and they were carefully making my sushi. I had ordered the following for takeaway: teriyaki chicken (for the kids to share), (2) three (3) lunch rolls with soups and a seaweed salad. We also ordered some specialty rolls as well. Overall, they turned out pretty good in taste. My wife ordered the Pink Lady special roll and really enjoyed how it tasted. (must recommend)! Please refer to my attached pictures to view what they look like. The only one that needed improvement was the chicken teriyaki; the presentation was terrible and barely gave you any meat. My food arrived cold, crushed and falling out of the boxes all over itself. I live half a mile from the place, so I don't know what wild ride the delivery man went on. Don't ever go inside the place if you want to keep an open mind about the food. It looks like a meth den with not a single chinese person in there. Not authentic, shady looking people. Back to my driver, he arrived with no cash change on hand, so he was rewarded with a huge tip for the bag full of jumbled ruined food. I immediately got on the phone to complain and before i could even hang up, the food had soaked its way through the bottom of the bag and was all over my floor now. The drivers have always seemed like they're plucked from the local trailer parks, I've never seen the same one twice. This place is freaking ridiculous. They need to start over. I'm really irritated with how long it took them to deliver. I ordered shortly before 7 pm, called at 7:45 inquiring why I hadn't gotten my food, and was told it'd be 15-20 more minutes. 30 minutes later, I finally get a call from the driver asking me directions. They were all very nice when I talked to them, and the food was good (i disagree with the other two reviews pegging the food as disgusting--just typical Chinese food), but I won't be ordering delivery again. Placed an order for delivery @ 7:00pm on a MONDAY NIGHT. Total was $29.11. I added gratuity. At 8:45pm, I called to find out what happened to my order and they said they had someone on their way. I said cancel the order and give me a refund. I do not want the food at this point. There is no excuse for that at all. This was about 3 weeks ago. I never received a refund. A couple of days ago, I called and asked why we have not received the refund. They said they didn't have my money... what?? I ordered through their website! China-house.com it is listed when you do a google search and offers the option to place an order for delivery(red bar with words). Updating as over the last couple months the quality of food has drastically improved. I'm not sure if it is due to new management, new kitchen staff, or what, but the quality and taste has definitely changed from this establishment and has become one of my more regular Chinese restaurants again. The absolute worst Chinese food I've ever tasted. Rice was dried out, meat had a peculiar taste and texture, dumplings tasted like deep fried grocery store frozen dumplings (which are typically super bland). Not to mention, I originally called the number for a restaurant called Golden Bowl, placed my order and headed to the address on the google business page. When I got to the address listed for Golden Bowl, it didn't exist and in its place was a wing restaurant. I called the number again and asked for the correct address which the lady gave me & when I arrived the sign said China House. Once I got home with my awful dinner, I noticed the name on the menu stapled to the bag was a completely different name...SAKE CAFE & underneath that name in tiny print DBA China House! ZERO STARS!!!! RUDE! HATEFUL! DISRESPECTFUL! Don't waste your time. This place is awful. The woman at the desk taking your order is horribly RUDE! We waited two hours for food and finally just left. There was no apology or explanation she just kept saying 5 min. and wouldn't make eye contact. Everyone was pissed. The phone kept ringing, she kept taking order, but they couldn't fill them. STOP taking order and fill the one you got!! I'm very understanding and patient, but just be polite and let me know what the heck is going on. They kept us hostage from 6-8pm, so by the time we walked out from frustration everything was getting ready to close and we had to make a mad dash to find dinner. Thank God for Outback who took out order and got it to us in 20 min at 9pm. They missed out on $70 from us. Customer service and common courtesy goes a long way.
