I got a small chicken lo mien and boneless spareribs. The lo mien was as good. I forgot to ask for dumpling/ginger sauce for additional flavor. If you haven't asked for a side of their sauce, please try it. It adds a lot of flavor to the meal, rice, lo mien, etc. I was very disappointed in the boneless spare ribs. The meat was not good. The marinade or whatever that was did not resemble spare ribs. In fact, it was so dry I had to spit it out. No just flat out.no... I've eaten here far long enough albeit barley once in a month to write a review and it be honest. I don't know what is going on with Chinese food spots, in America but the equality is below subpar and this location isn't far from it. How does a person order sesame seed chicken, and receive what tasted like old chicken, hard an un-chewable and above all else a mystery as to what part of the bird, dark or white? but that's not the worse part how do these Chinese food locations such as this. have sesame seed chicken swimming in fluid, which I would assume is sauce, but really is more like water. That's not how you make sesame seed chicken, sesame seed should be lightly crispy and very tender and juicy. it's should have a rich flavorful sauce bright in color. As for the order of sesame I bought, which was the large or the dinner size took a few bites after I got home and threw the whole thing in the trash it was a complete waste of money. The fantail shrimp over fried and greasy. I told my partner who came with me that this was one of the better spots, but after that evening, I would never take her back nor would I give anybody reference to this location? The food can be better. I know it can be better. Sometimes they hit the order right out the park with good quality but unfortunately and more often than not, it's the same poor quality Chinese food that you get at 8 out of 10 restaurants that you will find in your city or local area lacking of any type of passion in the kitchen, run-of-the-mill menu and nothing to desire other than people who live around the area looking for something better to eat then a typical McDonald's or fast food joint with the belief that they're going to get a better grade or quality of food. I picked up two won ton soups and egg rolls for my mom and sis who were craving them. According to them the food was hot, well seasoned and hit the spot. Full disclosure: I didn't have any of the food, but I can comment on the wait time. It was average. I can comment on both the service, which was ok as well as the way upkeep of the establishment. And this is where we run into a disappointment. Though this place is in a middle-class neighborhood in the genteel South I promise you it looks identical to ones in the dregs of the South Bronx or "battle for your life" Baltimore. The food pictures were old and very faded. The floor was worn and dusty, with a two card tables and two rickety mismatched chairs strewn across the room. I've been living out here for about a month now and yesterday was the first time I've had some Chinese food. This place was right up the road and the food was bomb! I played it safe and called in my order for my usual chicken and broccoli w/ pork fried rice and egg roll and my lady ordered the shrimp and broccoli with whire rice. They're keeping things very Safe distance wise with their small door they use to pass the receipt thru and then they place your bag on the left side for you to grab. This was the second Chinese food takeout place we've tried since moving to the concord area recently. My neighborhood has a Facebook group, so I asked them where the best Chinese food was, since the other place hadn't impressed us. The majority of our neighbors who chimed-in said China Garden. So we tried them tonight with mixed results. We all shared our meals with each other. We were most impressed with the orange chicken, the fried wontons, and the fried rice. The kids shared an order of sweet n sour chicken, which was really good, but it's a hard dish to screw up. The Singapore Chow Mai Fun is a much harder dish to get perfect, and we weren't impressed with the flavor of that. The kung pao shrimp was also just okay, despite how large the shrimp were. All in all, we'd probably give this place 3 and a half stars based on this first try, and we all agreed it's worth another go. Based on how good the orange chicken was, I'm guessing the sesame chicken or general tsao's chicken will be excellent too, but I'd really love to find a place that nails beef with broccoli. We get chinese from here because it's close, they deliver, and the food is of passable quality. (Have not found a chinese takeout place in Concord that I would give a "Great" rating to). I dont eat a wide variety of Chinese, mostly chicken this-and-that. Tried something different, Mongolian beef. Expected small beef strips in a brown sauce with a decent flavor. Normally served with green onions. What I got was beef that looks like cube steak cut up into strips and quite a lot of white onion. Absolutely no flavor. Took 2 bites, just could not eat with the texture of the beef and mystery sauce. So, hubby ate some, he said it was a sweet heat. Too sweet for him. I didn't taste anything sweet or hit. Goes to show taste varies by person. Generals chicken is Ok, not normally crispy and you have to request extra spicy to get any heat at all. read more

The most delicious Chinese food we have eaten here in Concord! The young man who took our order was very polite and helped with any questions we had. The food was delivered quickly and still hot. All of my family loved everything they gave us. We have food the food to be quite mediocre here as far as Chinese places. This place definitely changed our minds. Worst customer service ever!!!! The lady that takes the order up front is so disrespectful and rude!!! She was trying to charge us $42 for 3 meals, when I asked her why it was so much her attitude was so bad. She ended up messing the order up and when I corrected her she looked mad. (We only ended up paying $29) I went back after to get 4 vegetable rolls, and when she saw me she didn't let me speak, she cut me off and said "Here is your receipt!" I'm from New York so maybe my expectations were high 1. the chicken was soft I asked for well done/fried hard. 2. they gave me two orders of pork fried rice I ordered plain :( 3. their plain fried rice is actually just boiled brown rice. The customer service was decent and you can tell they were trying. They returned and delivered 2 orders of their plain fried rice (boiled brown rice). Ordered Sesame chicken and chicken noodle soup for delivery. They quoted me 40 minutes, it took a little over an hour to get here. Strike one. The soup was the best part of the meal; juicy chunks of white meat chicken in a savory broth, mixed with noodles and onions. Yum! The sesame chicken? Hands down THE WORST I've ever eaten. The chicken was hard, over cooked and over breaded. There may have been a 25% chicken to breading ratio (and I'm being generous). The broccoli was over cooked and limp. The white rice was the highlight of the entrée tasting well, like rice. How do you screw up a classic like sesame chicken and call yourself a "Chinese" restaurant?? I would think twice about purchasing anything that comes breaded at this place unless your into playing hide and go seek with your protein. Extremely unhappy with this restaurant. We ordered delivery and they messed up the order. They refused to correct it and deliver the correct item, claiming they were "too busy". They also refused to credit my credit card for the portion they erred. Instead, they offered to give me some "free" white rice on my next order. The food itself wasn't good either. I placed an order for delivery at 7:02pm. I waited an hour and 30 minutes before calling the restaurant to find out what was taking so long. I'm fairly sure the man who answered the phone wasn't speaking fully in English (and I work in a hotel, so it's not like I can't decipher accents). First, he said he didn't have an order at my address. After I told him I had placed it an hour and a half earlier, he suddenly found it and (I think) said it would be delivered in 15-20 minutes (I live less than 4 miles from the restaurant). Fast-forward 30 minutes and the food STILL hadn't arrived, so I called the restaurant again. I think the gentleman I spoke to tried to blame BeyondMenus.com (the online ordering system), but again, I couldn't understand him.
