I would say Asian Garden is a 3.5 stars. The store front itself is a little off putting. Old looking with boxes along the wall. There are tables to sit and eat your food if you so choose, but it is not welcoming and that might be by design. They may just want you to get it to go. The cashier/ prep chef/ who knows what else she is, was no nonsense. Tell her what you want and off she goes. But the real reason you're all here is to find out about the food. I can say with all honesty it was made fresh. We sat in the "dining room" waiting for it to be made and it took us about 10 mins. to get home and it was HOT! The soup was the best. It had flavor. Egg rolls were next. They were also good. Mostly vegetables. The entree we shared was Sesame Chicken. It was enough for us to share, but it lacked flavor. It wasn't bad, just wasn't flavorful. Very unsanitary. Tables and floors are extremely dirty. I hope this place improves but doubt it.

Had to ask for the nasty table to be wiped off. Empty boxes all out in the dining area and right behind the desk in the kitchen. Had to wrap paper napkin around the salt dispenser just to pick it up. First time ever eating here. Will not be back again. read more

I been ordering from Asian Garden for many years. The food has always been on point. But then again I always customize my orders and they make it exactly how i want and like it. I'm from up north, so I have seen way worse restaurants as far as appearance and upkeep. They are not the friendliest but not the rudest either. The young lady who waited on me at the counter was seriously watching a video or show on her phone. She only looked up to acknowledge my existence when I wouldn't say what I wanted because she wouldn't look at me. Wontons were good, but even pork fried rice was just not right. Rude! I walked in, said hello...literally all 3 of them looked me in my eye, said nothing and went back to what they were doing. I stood there waiting to be greeted or for a "well be right with you." Never happened so I walked out and two females walked in immediately behind me and were received immediately. Such a bad idea! For ever sticking with my Chinese place. I ordered the crab ragoon, house special lo mien, curry chicken with onion and beef with broccoli. I was extremely excited to see all total only came up to a little over $20. Drove home all excited and it was a disappointment the second I bit into my crab ragoon. It was soggy even though I saw her fried it in the second I ordered it, but it was soggy because it was a already made crab ragoon that's been frozen until someone places an order. Very little filling inside and it was just not good. Never had curry chicken before so I ordered that. It was plain. Taste like ramen noodle to be honest. Only took 2 bites. The portion of house special lo mien for a small is VERY small. Disappointed in that as well. A lot of veggies though and not enough meat or noodles. Very bland. The beef broccoli is probably the okay one! To be honest, I told my husband that out of all the fish, the WHITE RICE was the best. He laughed, but I was serious. I would not come here again. At least, I know to mark Asian Garden off my list because I've been tempting to try it since I shop at Food Lion all the time as well as driving by it daily. The worst Chinese food we have ever had. The girl at the counter was very rude and acted like she didn't care to be there. Barely raised her eyes off of her phone to take our order. The food took about 40 minutes to get and it was mediocre at best. The rice was dry and bland, and the rest was overcooked. We do not recommed this restaurant for any of your Chinese food cravings. A really good deal for your money. I always get the sesame chicken and it's a pretty good sized portion. I'm not giving it five stars just because no one is perfect. They are quick with your order and the food is always hot. Heading south to Florida. Almost 9pm. I search and find this place and call ahead. 25 mins later. It's ready and hot. Wife drives. I eat. It is perfect. Just as I ordered it. Beef and broccoli plus some teriyaki chicken on a stick. If this place can nail it on a Sunday night 9pm take out order, they get it right all the time. Check them out. Florida here we come. I just had my first takeout from this biz. I am very disappointed. I had : Mei Fun Singapore - tasteless, but had plenty of content.Wish a bit of sauce or something could have saved it. blah #2 Chicken with Chinese veggies. It had the more high end vegetables, Not just broccoli, carrots, or zucchini (none of those), like some try and pass off as chinese vegetables. THAT is a plus. The "brown" sauce was very thin, and had very little taste, not typical. Brown sauce I've had in the past from my old hometown has always "made" the dish and was far more tasty than this. Still trying to find a Chinese place here that satisfies after 9 months in area. I will try and find larger restaurants that might have a better chef and kitchen. #3 Cheese wontons ( like crab rangoon ones, no crab). They were only OK. Could have used a bit more cream cheese. #4 Hot and Sour soup - no pork in it (I'm used to that, but not the issue), had no "hot" spice, bland taste, and again, a little on the thin side. I'd say it was only ok. I've had much better. The white rice to accompany the meal was good, and plentiful. They only do Take Out, No delivery. It was a tuesday night, I was only one in the restaurant at that time, little after 7 p.m. They packaged it well and nothing was missing. Worst food and service ever. Called and placed order over the phone and was hu on before we could give credit card info. Was told food would be here in 30 minutes but was closer to an hour. Food was cold and stale . Tasted like it had been made the day before and left out all day. Tried calling back to restaurant to pay for order by credit card since the driver could only take cash but the RUDE female put me on hold and kept taking other peoples orders and yelling at someone in the background and never did come back on the phone. Finally the driver had to call back up there to give the credit card info. Was way overcharged what the prices were online . Asked for a receipt but the driver didn't have that either. He said I had to go back up to the restaurant to get a receipt if I wanted one. Might as well went and picked up the food myself.
