I ordered from China express for the first time today. I had had a surgery and I'm unable to get out so I need a delivery. I ordered the chicken and garlic sauce. It was amazing. Lots of bell peppers, zucchini, onions, carrots, and water chestnuts. They did not skimp on the sauce. The hot and sour soup was nicely seasoned although I would've liked to have had it with a little more vinegar. The prices were reasonable, and the delivery was sent within 20 minutes. Cheaply served food, yet pricey. Extremely small portions! And great service though but wont be coming back.

We ordered General Tso's chicken, teriyaki chicken skewers, cashew chicken, chicken wings and egg drop soup. All items were okay. The skewers were a little dry and the cashew chicken had an odd taste; no bad, just off. The General Tso's was the best item. Well presented in the container with the broccoli lined up nicely and it had the best taste of all the items ordered. The egg drop soup was thinner and lighter in color than what I'm used to, but it was good. They serve the fried noodles with the soup. I love those things! Eggrolls were decent. Thinner than usual, but still had a good crunch. Chicken wings were good. The one surprising thing is the delivery was longer than expected. Any time Chinese food is ordered for delivery, they say a time frame (for example 40 minutes), yet it always seems to come way earlier - any place. This place took so long, we thought we didn't put the order in completely. Maybe they use a service, I'm not certain, but it was strange. Not a huge deal, just something to note. Food was not fresh. The wonton soup was bland and the chips they gave us to go with it were stale. My children started spitting them out immediately. The entire container of rice went into the trash, there was no flavor and a bunch of burnt rice bits throughout the container. The egg rolls were ok. The chicken lo mein was good. My boyfriend & me went yesterday, 01/11/2023 to order a lunch platter for each other. He ended up having food poisoning & told me not to eat the food because I'd end up with the food poisoning too & im pregnant. I highly recommend eating at a different Chinese food spot & to never try this place. If I had an opportunity to get a refund, I would gladly take it. Spent almost $20 to end up with a sick boyfriend & almost make me end up sick while carrying a child. it's a shame trying new places & the end result being this horrible. He ordered the orange chicken with fried rice. I ordered the chicken lo mein with teriyaki chicken. I was even charged an extra dollar to change the fried rice to chicken lo mein. Food quality had improved however service was hit or miss. now the service is mostly better and the food is really subpar. frequently get a part of my order wrong. I never order fried rice, but at least one dish will be delivered with fried rice and it's not good. the soup is often slimy and mostly salt doesn't matter which kind. Chicken lo mein is decent. Egg rolls are okay. Pepper steak is chewy like bubble gum. The lady taking orders is not friendly. Patrons still cannot dine in, mask or no mask, u side is not open for dining. This last time I had pepper steak it made me vomit so that's it for me. read more

It pains me to have to leave this review. Today was the first day in about 3 years that I've eaten here. A few years ago, I lived in the neighborhood and would order from here at least each week (mostly during lunch). Living in Las Vegas for nearly two years, I decided to grab lunch (take out) from here today before I left back to Vegas tomorrow. I was disappointed in the stale taste of the wonton like crackers for my "Hot & Sour" soup. The chicken in my General Chicken was very dry and you can tell that it was not freshly cooked and the rice as well tasted as if it was not fresh. I'm very disappointed. I wish more restaurant would cook "made to order" this will prevent old food from being given to paying customers as well as reduce waste for the business. The best inexpensive Chinese restaurant in this part of town. It is run by a husband and wife. He cooks, she does all else. The woman told me that her husband is an award winning chef in China. The food is first rate. The portions are huge and the prices are reasonable. We usually take it to-go and make two meals out of it. Food was consistently good. Kung Pao was actually spicy. String beans were great. Reasonable prices - $6 lunch, with most dinners in the $8-$10 range. Cons: no major problems, but a few things you should be aware of: very casual decor, constant flow of folks getting takeout can be distracting, several places in Houston area do better Chinese, some difficulties navigating parking lot. Despite the broad menu, the only seafood is shrimp - no fish. Special menu options: - they advertise 100% vegetable oil for vegetarians - plenty of lo-carb options if you skip the rice. I know they use cornstarch to silken the meats, but the amounts are small enough it has a minimal impact on blood sugar. read more

Best Cheap lunch special ever! I love hitting this place for lunch when we are cash poor since two of us can eat for around $13! Great food, will do special requests, and the best part if you want the lunch special for dinner add a $1.50. This includes, the soup, or eggroll, and the main course. They will even leave off the rice if you just ask, for everyone on the low carb diet. The restaurant has always been clean. The staff is very friendly and they do a brisk take out business. Everything is always fresh. The one drawback, the parking lot in this place is freaky with the spaces, some of the spaces are so small that you have to park a bigger car over the line to fit. read more
