I ordered two chicken and broccoli with white rice for about $20. () Pros They use jasmine rice! Just like how they do up north. This is hard to find cause a lot of restaurants use just regular white rice. The prices are good. You can get two meals for about $20 bucks. Cons Call ahead and order. Ordered the Pepper Steak (DISGUSTING) no flavor, meat was tough (if it actually was beef), took it back after 2(1min chews of small pieces) and was told to call Uber since they delivered it, didn't realize Uber now cooks and delivers from restaurants now. It was my first time here, so tried the hot and sour soup, two chicken egg roils, braised wings with house special fried rice. The hot and sour soup was great, temperature was perfect, and flavor and heat spot on. The soup had carrots/celery included in the soup, a first for me, not bad. The house special fried rice was flavorful, had a good amount of meat, and I enjoyed it. I didn't care for the braised wings, the flavor was bland and the texture was soft. The first few times I wanted to try this place it was closed. Sunday attempts. I finally got my opportunity. But before I go further let me say this ...how have I managed to not notice this place ALL of these years?? Like my mom says to me, if it was a snake it'll bite me. Now....I've been here three times within 4 weeks. 1st try was vegetable mei fun with curry. It was OK. 2nd visit was a small shrimp fried rice and shrimp egg roll. Wasn't nothing small about that portion. And tonight, 5/21/18 I ordered shrimp with broccoli a little spicy combo and requested extra onion in my rice. Pricing is reasonable and portions are more than adequate. Food is always still hot once I get home and flavorful. I like that the sauces are made with minimum oil that my food isn't swimming in it. I know I can't get too much tailored to my liking. I wanted general tso shrimp. She wouldn't do it because of demographics, so that's understandable. But she did offer to make something comparable from menu listing. I'm quite sure I'll be back again. So I'll take pics until my next update. Parking is terrible. TERRIBLE with a capital T! This was the worse greasy tasteless food I have eaten in my 60 some years of living. This food will never be eligible for any food awards (James Beard, Michigan Star, etc.). I decided to eat at this restaurant for the first time and how disappointing. I order vegetable dishes from this location often and the food is always hot (temp) and very flavorful. Returned after boycotting for 8 months over their rude response to my customer service concerns. I decided to order through UberEats rather than encounter them directly. The General Tao's chicken was flavorful with the right touch of spiciness. The shrimp fried rice was OK and the broccoli in it was perfectly crisply steamed. The shrimp in the rice was just boiled and could have been seasoned and/or actually fried. It was delivered well packed and still piping hot by the UberEats driver and the only disappointment was the Hot and Sour soup which was neither hot nor sour and bland. read more

Tonight, because I couldn't make up my mind, I ordered both Chicken Chow Mein and Shrimp Egg Foo Young. It was exquisite! I have visited this location several times and I'm puzzled why they don't have a 5-Star rating. They make exceptional food consistently. They make the absolute freshest, clean, tasteful food of the highest caliber. The food is well prepared with ultimatum care and is not salty or greasy. Just perfect! I'm particularly grateful for this because in the African American community a lot of places can be subpar, with greasy fried, salty foods with questionable quality. I went here on a wim. Didn't want Chick-fil-A (I'm nowhere near the addict that most people seem to be) and this was located directly behind them. 1st time going I ordered the 8piece wings(lemon pepper) with vegetable fried rice. Everything was pretty good. Wings trump the rice and it wasn't even close. For some reason I don't care for their rice but the wings have always been really good. Full of flavor and crispy. This place was pretty good. Came here hoping for some really good chinese food for my weekly cheat meal. Nice lunch special portion which I expect for the price I paid. The menu posted on yelp is out dated and prospective patrons of this restaurant should note that prices reflected on the menu pictured are actually higher by about $1.50- 2.00. Also the chicken wing prices are ridiculous. Never will I ever in my life pay $6.50 for 8 measly little chicken wings. Up north (CT) they give nice sized (not abnormally huge or super tiny) whole wings that I'd pay 6.50 for but not these little things they call wings. They were not plain chicken wings like I ordered. They sprinkled some sort of cajun type seasoning on them even though I clearly asked for PLAIN wings. And they weren't that good. Chicken and broccoli was good. Lo mein was pretty good. The food overall ok but a little on the salty side and we all know chinese food is already high in salt anyway so for the food to have an overly salted taste was a tad bit overwhelming. The spring rolls came with the lunch specials were tasty though. I think the service was what I should expect considering that due to covid 19 I'm now ordering from little pick up windows instead of going inside of the actual establishment. Only thing I would say is that the lady could greet folks a bit more nicely. Also I think that if they are not going to let you inside they should at least have their menus available sitting outside the restaurant in case people want to have the menu in their hands to look at or take home with them in case they want to order again and need the menu to do so. Pasting the menu on the window isn't sufficient especially when the writing is so small and more than one person is trying to look at the menus at one time. And that would get rid of the need to have to pass them out through the little window. l Also could not see the score posted with the new window set up. This place makes delicious food. The portion are so big I never finish it, even though I try. The rice is fluffy so far I had the General Tso and Mongolian Beef. I love this place. I've been a patron of theirs since they opened many years ago. I love their house fried rice and easily pay the extra fee to add beef to it. A not so yummy "Chinese" food experience. I was Jonesin' for some Chinese food so, I called up China Express. The prices are great and you get a big portion for the cost. But, I ordered the sesame chicken and I think I took 2 or three bites before I got to the actual chicken. It was all batter. I ordered to-go and they were very prompt. They had my food prepared in 10 minutes. (Should anything be cooked that fast? Makes me wonder.) They were also very nice. So, they get three stars. Bare bones chinese restaurant. More reasonable than Mu Lan and the food is pretty good. I cone for the honey garlic pepper wings, shrimp mei fun, or broccoli w garlic sauce. They're fast, friendly, and good for takeout. I recommend them for these reasons. They will also askew you to modify or request special orders.
